Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies

Due to multiple raves about this product, including the lovely and talented Tanya Burr, and after my Benefit "They're Real" mascara bottle broke, I decided to try it. This is literally the WORST mascara I have ever used in my entire life. 1) The brush sucks. I don't know who has bulbous curved eyes that would fit that brush (maybe Zooey Deschanel or some kind of alien?), but I certainly don't! 2) The mascara came out almost dripping off the wand, I wiped and wiped and wiped until the wand and brush were almost dry and it was still slippery and wet and awful and just so much wet mascara!! My eyelashes are long but sparse, but can get thick if I have the right mascara. This mascara literally made my lashes look like spider legs - a spider with anorexia that is. Awful, will never purchase again and immediately threw out. I'm sticking with my Benefit "They're Real". It may be expensive, but it looks awesome compared to this crap!

I have super long eyelashes to begin with, but they are not thick. This mascara coats my lashes nicely and brings them to their ultimate length. People always ask me if these are my real eyelashes! However, it doesn't make them thick at all. Also, I find the tube too big - about halfway through it dries out. They should make a smaller bottle and cut down on the price. $28 for mascara is really expensive. I've used 2 bottles of this, but won't be purchasing it again due to the bottle drying out and I need to find something to make my lashes look thicker - I already have the length naturally.

I don't usually wear makeup but once I started wearing this I have been getting tons of compliments on how my skin is "glowing". I don't like the shimmer though. I bought this for my mom because I loved the color so much, but she is in her 60s and the shimmer looks ridiculous. Also, it has barely any lasting power. However, because I love the color so much and it's perfect for my very pale fair skin and blue/grey eyes, blonde hair, I have repurchased this twice already.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact

Pros: * The brush is wonderful, it coats every single lash you have. * Definitely creates length and the illusion of volume as it coats every lash Cons: * FLAKY!!!!!! * Bottle dries out after about 3 weeks, even after keeping the lid on tight. Too bad, the brush was awesome and I would have kept using this if not for the drying effect and flaking.

Mascara -Almay - One Coat Mascara (Thickening)

Pros: * Doesn't smudge * Doesn't flake Cons: * WAY too much excess on the brush, even after wiping it's still very clumpy and wet. * Lengthens, but does not give volume. The only reason I am still using it is because it doesn't irritate my eyes like Cover Girl does. After it's done though, I will definitely try another brand.

Conditioner -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Curl Around Style Starting Daily Conditioner [DISCONTINUED]

I have thin and fine straight blonde hair. I really, really like this product! It gives my hair body without weighing it down, and it takes away some of the frizz from my damaged hair after a bad coloring job. It smells like Finesse back in the 80s. Will definitely re-purchase.

Fragrances -Aquolina - Pink Sugar

This has been my daily fragrance for years now. I wear it on my chest area, and I wear MAC vanilla (gold top) on my neck. You would think that would be overkill, but I have gotten nothing but compliments. Every day I hear things like "you smell like heaven" and "it's like a breath of fresh air when you walk in the room". Every time someone hugs me they comment on how good I smell. I will never stop using this. I also sometimes use the Chocolate one too, but never get as many compliments.

Shampoo -Aveda - Smooth Infusion

Oh god the smell. The smell is HORRIBLE. I am ashamed for Aveda that they created a shampoo with such a horrid smell. It smells like cleaner, like lemon pledge. It really makes me sad to lather up in the mornings with the stink. However, that being said it's pretty ok shampoo. More moisturizing than the other lines of Aveda. Lathers really nicely and makes my hair fluffy and soft afterwards. But honestly, because of the price and the smell I will never purchase this again.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Super Thick Lash Mascara

* Clumpy * Does not flake, which was what I was looking for * Makes lashes look a bit thicker, but maybe that's because of the clumps * Did not make my lashes look to their longest extent unless I really worked carefully with the brush, which I do not have time for. The only good thing about this mascara is that it does not flake (so far). I was using Volume Exact by CG and loved the brush and how it made my lashes long, but hated the flaking and the little flakes would get into my eyes and burn my eyes. I think thick, creamy mascara (which is what works best for my lashes) is just prone to drying out more quickly, which in turn means flaking. I would not purchase this again, but it's ok to use until I get another one.
