Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Permanent Creme Hair Color

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a test patch with this!! I hope most people do anyway but i know there are a few people that forget. Ive used so many different home colours in the past few years and last night i tried this for the very time, well i say try i didnt actually get round to putting it on my hair. I put a test patch behind my ear like all home colour brands (and most salon brands) advise within a matter of minutes it was burning like crazy, i quickly wiped it off and saw a blister had formed behind my ear, i went to just lightly touch it and it popped, now today it has scabbed over and is very very sore. my sister and mum offered to do a test patch on their own skin just to see if i was having a bad time with this product, they experienced the exact same reaction but luckily wiped the product off before their skin could blister. I guess there is a possibility i had a faulty batch of this product, but i just want people to be aware. Ive never been allergic to any other hair colour, and have never had a reaction to anything so fast in my life. just please be careful, i know test patches can be annoying but you will be glad you did it, if i put this on my scalp i have no doubt i would have burnt my skin off!

Concealers -By Terry - Touche Veloutee Highlighting Concealer

Ok i do love this product, However i HATE the packaging. It looks beautiful but in reality is very messy, unhygienic and generally just yuck. Yes the brush is of higher quality than most of the other brands that do concealers in this style but i still couldn't bring myself to like the whole pump/brush thing. So what i decided to do was buy one of the little clear make up pots that mac sell and pump all the product into it, its more hygienic and i can use my own brushes or fingers. It did seem a bit of a waste as you do always feel like you pay for the packaging as well, however im much happier with the product now. I you like these kind of pump and brush systems you will probably get along great with this, if you dont and you are happy to do what i did and chuck away the expensive pretty packaging the actual formula is great!!

Mascara -Bare Escentuals - buxom lash

AMAZING!! im the biggest mascara addict so had to try this and im in love. i think at one point or another ive tried every mascara out there lol high street mascara, highend pricey mascara, limited edition, coloured, waterproof....i just buy them all and this is the best!! My lashes are already quite long but lack thickness, this thickened my lashes so well, i look like i have double the amount of lashes, and they got so long they were touching my eyebrows, the formula itself is very black does not clump and does not smudge or flake. Its also the only mascara ive ever been able to layer without it ending up a mess. I will still keep a tube of diorshow but will defo be buying this again.

Skincare - Face -Boots - Aqueous Cream
chloeluvzroo 1/15/2010 9:44:00 AM
I first discovered aqueous cream when my younger sister had very bad eczema. The doctor would prescribe huge tubs of the stuff for her, she would have to use it like a soap in the bath to wash with, and then once dry use it as a moisturiser all over her body. Well now i use it for a whole multitude of things, for dry spots, removing make-up, as a mask! its just amazing. my fave way to use it is to put some on a cotton wool pad and then rub all over my face in circular motions. I admit the texture feels a bit nasty and the smell isnt great but when it works so well and is so cheap i dont care. I recently started using philosophy skincare products, which i do like and will stick with but i still get my aqueous fix at least twice a week.

Moisturizers -Nuxe - Creme Fraiche de Beaute Light

LOVE love love this!!! I was using the version for extra dry skin which was also amazing but once it had cleared up all my dry patches I continued to use which made me break out, then I remembered there was a light version which is when I went and brought this. It moisturisers brilliantly, smells great and gives my face a lovely glow. My skin stay firm and supple all day no dry patches and no oil. I've also found a little trick with this, apply it ad you would normally, then after apply some foundation ( i use bobbi brown skin foundation) using a foundation brush ( preferably mac 187 brush) once you have done that get a bit more moisturiser and rub your hands so you just hav a small amount on your hands and press your hands gently on your face. I've found it acts like a highlighter by creating a glow over my foundation it also makes any foundation look more natural and your face look healthier. But yea this moisturiser is just great! I love all the nuxe products but this is one of the best gives me babysoft skin and I love that it comes in a tube and not a heavy pot.

Scrubs -Dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant

I really wanted to love this product after reading the reviews others have given it. However after using just 3 times my skin was a complete mess! I dont get break outs and my skin is usually quite smooth, all i wanted this product for was to brighten up my complexion and get rid of the odd dry patch. Instead my skin was left dry sore tight and scaly. To touch my skin was very rough and bumpy, almost like a scab, and smiling was horrible as the skin near my mouth would actually crack. I had to spend a whole month wearing no make up as it stung like mad and looked disgusting because it just settled it the nasty cracks. The only thing i could use was E45 cream and vaseline. Even now 6 months later my skin gets a lot drier than it ever did and is far more sensitive. This product obviously works for some, but my skin hated it! I also thought it felt and smelt a lot like bicarbonate soda. For me its not worth the money. Im now using a mixture of bobbi brown, decleor and eve lom products, my skin is a lot happier!

Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Skin Foundation SPF 15 - Porcelain 0
chloeluvzroo 1/20/2009 1:24:00 PM
Very very new so could not even check the reviews on MUA before buying! But no need it is a gorgeous foundation! Very very light and sheer, yet strangely still covering all my imperfections. As the name 'skin' suggests there is no fakeness or cakiness to this foundation. You look makeupless, just like you, but much much better, really flawless. Make me look dewy, but without the glitter effect you usually get. I was given porcelain as my colour match, which is perfect, but there are 17 shades in total. This stays on all day, and keeps its freshness. The lady at the counter said it is sutiable for all skin types, and since using it my dry patches have cleared up entirely. I have had no irritation with this foundation, as im very sensitive skinned i usually get a little itchy, but not with this my skin feels like it can breathe, which is lovely!! Im only 19 but just before i brought this i saw it applied to a woman who was most likely in her 40's and it looked beautiful on her too. Another great thing is ive never found a foundation that spreads so easily. I only need 2 pumps of this for my entire face! Apply with a foundation brush and you honestly look like you have been airbrushed. Love it!! Pricey and the glass bottle is a little heavy.... other than that I personally cannot fault it. EDIT: still loving this foundation but discovered it's even more amazing if you use mac's 187 brush!

Mascara -Givenchy - Phenomen'eyes Mascara
chloeluvzroo 12/30/2008 4:25:00 PM
Had the potential to be the worlds best mascara! The ball shaped brush, looks odd but is in fact genius! Catches every single litlle lash. But as for the formula. Beautiful for the 5 mins after application. Jet black, long, thick and curled. Most perfect lashes ever. However i have never had a mascara smudge on me....This did....MAJORLY! The formula never seems to dry, constantly remaining tacky. In the end all my lashes ended up stuck together. And when i applied eyeshadow, the lashes were so sticky, that the shadow stuck to them. So, when you first apply this, you will probably say WOW, on everyone i have seen it creates amazing lashes. But after half and hour you will be dying to get it off. Which is also a problem in itself. Where it is soooo sticky getting it off is a nightmare, must have taken me 25 mins to remove. I may go with some of the tips on here and use the wand with a different mascara, as the 'ball' really is brilliant!! If they ever get round to reformulating the awful load a goo they filled the tubes with, i think this would be my HG!! I said yes to repurchasing as im dreaming Givenchy may read all this and do something! EDIT: after raving how much I liked the ball shaped brush I discovered Rommel lash explosion! Amazing! Dame concept but a way better formula which gives long dark thick curled lashes at a fraction on the price!

Self Tanners -St.Tropez - Aero Bronze Air Spray
chloeluvzroo 12/30/2008 4:15:00 PM
I have been using St. Tropez products for a few years and have always found them to be a league above everything else. So today i purchased this! As it's in a aerosol can i thought it would like having an "in salon" spray tan. I was wrong. Its much better. Sprays brilliantly at every single angle, reaching your back is a breeze. You can layer the tan, and it dries immediately. I dont think you could make it streak if you tried. There is no need for rubbing in, and therefore no orange palms! It smells rather nice too, always a bonus. I got dressed right away, and did not feel sticky in the slightest. The only query i do have....and if anyone can help it would be appreciated, how do you apply an aerosol/spray tan without covering every inch of the surrounding area in fake tan?? I love this product, my mum hates it as it covers her bathroom in tiny brown sprinkles! Anyway it is still developing nicely will keep you informed on the end result!

Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Talk to the Tan [DISCONTINUED]
chloeluvzroo 9/14/2008 9:48:00 AM
Ok i know everyone has their own opinions but havig said that i dont see how this product can be faulted. Its slightly pricey but that wont put me off. Unlike powder or cream bronzers this has no glittery 'fakeness' to it, no orangeness, just perfect even glowing tan. It gel like texture means it blends perfectly, again unlike powder it will not settle in lines and pores. I have even taken to wearing it with no other makeup because it gives such a beautiful glowing finish.
