Tinted Moisturizer -NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

I purchased this in the shade Finland, here is the website info; Finland (lightest with a neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones) For my neutral leaning warm skin this definition seems like it would have worked but it turned out too yellow for me. I wanted to keep it because it felt like it had a built in primer, hence all the silicones in it but I'm not allergic so there was no problem, it gave such a radiant glow, a little bit went a long way and the coverage was very good, not patchy, cakey or heavy...it blended nicely. But ultimately I had to return it due to the shade.

Treatments (Eye) -Boscia - Enlivening Amino-AG Eye Treatment

I checked "yes" that I would but this again because I really like the consistency, it has a silicone-ish type of feeling, it glides on easily without tugging on the delicate under eye skin, it's hydrating, and just a little bit goes a long way. I do not have any puffiness but I do have mild under eye circles....I have not notice any difference from using this but again I like the consistency and it's hydrating. It's $38 for 0.5 fl oz.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Cairo
rated 5 of 5

This eyeshadow is descibed as a "Champagne rose with shimmer". This shade is a little complex to me, it's a taupe with mauve/purple tones in a sandy beige brown base with very little rose....Nepal definitely has more of a rose tone to it. Anyhow I can use this by itself as a wash or on the lid or crease depending on what I pair it with. It is not chalky, it blends easily, and it's pricey at $23.

Makeup Brushes -Shu Uemura - 5F Sable Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
chiggy5 8/18/2011 4:27:00 PM

I use this brush for applying shadow in the upper and sometimes lower lashline. I use my Chanel #4 (which is stiffer) for smudging/working my eyeliner into my lashline and use this 5f brush for applying shadow over it or sometimes just the shadow in my lashline. This brush gives a more precise smudge whereas my Nars 15 is too fat and gives a wide smudge. It retails for $24.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Seashell glossimer
rated 2 of 5

A two rating for the packaging and the formula, the shade did not work on me but that does not mean it will not work on you. I'm fair, probably a NC 15 with non pigmented lips and this shade washed me out, it is so frosty that it was hard to see any peach-ish tone/shade in it. It would have maybe worked over a lipstick but I was really looking for something that I could use with or without a lippie. It retails for $28.50.

Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Espresso Ink Long Wear Gel Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
chiggy5 8/8/2011 6:15:00 PM

I did not like this product at first, the espresso color looked harsh almost black, it also was not easy to apply...it took some practice. But this summer with the excessive heat and humidity, I have mainly used this, it will not sweat off. I first started applying it with her fine eyeliner brush but it seemed a little long so I had a Kevyn Aucoin shorter eyeliner brush that came in a set and I use it to apply. You will not need very much, that little .1oz/3g jar will last a long time. I've read where some people mention that the jar dries out quickly, mine has not but I take out what I need then close it. It retails for $21.

rated 5 of 5

This is described as a extra large paddle brush designed to provide flawless application of powder to face or body. The MAC website describtion it doesn't mention if it is intended for loose or pressed powder but I have only used it for loose powder. It is a soft brush that picks up and applies powder nicely. It retails for $52.

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur 148 Tea Rose
rated 5 of 5
chiggy5 7/28/2011 12:49:00 PM

I have had this for a while but now I have to be careful not to use as much as it is now discontinued. It's a perfect balance of a pink nude, I do not get concealer lips with this and my lips are not very pigmented and I have a fair complexion. It does not make my lips dry, there is no shimmer/frosty/iridescent particles in this lippie. I do not mind the fragrance or that the gold packaging really shows fingerprints, it retailed for $30.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Metallic Creme Eye Colour- Rose Gold
rated 2 of 5
chiggy5 7/27/2011 8:57:00 AM

I really tried to make this work. I gave it a 2 rating because I like that the product is in a tube instead of a tub and that it doesn't crease but the color, it make my eyes look red and irritated (but the product did not irritate my eyes) like I had bad allergies. I tried to use it by itself..that didn't work, so I tried it as a base but the color itself was difficult to work with, it is too brassy of a color for me. It retails for $22.

Blush -Rock & Republic - Contrived Blush - Spank [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
chiggy5 7/23/2011 2:09:00 PM

Spank is a ballet pink and is pigmented but I do not have to use a skunk brush with this one as I have to do so with a few other R & R blushes. It applies/blends easily and there is .032oz/9g of product.

Eye Shadow -Rock & Republic - Sabotage
rated 5 of 5
chiggy5 7/23/2011 1:45:00 PM

Couldn't believe there was not a review for this one yet, it has been out and on sale for a while. The shade is a golden medium beige, the eyeshadow has a smooth, easy to blend texture, no fallout, no glitter, not a matte but not overly shimmery or frosty but has a sheen. This is one of my most used R & R shades but I like neutrals and I have a fair complexion.

Lipstick -Chanel - Aqualumiere in Galapagos
rated 2 of 5
chiggy5 7/17/2011 7:49:00 PM

I've used this lippie several times to give it a chance but I find it kinda garish, a light brighten peach with a pink undertone and very 80's looking. My sis said while we were in outdoor lighting that my lips look like I've been sucking Pepto, so we went in indoor lighting so I could point out the peach, I do not have pigmented lips but she does and she tried it...I was going to give it to her but soon afterward she took out lippie of her own to put over it. The texture and packing was ok.. hince the 2 stars but I thought I was better off buying a drugstore brand but that is basically what I paid for this since it's discontinued. Possibly to use with a gloss over it but definetly not on its own.

Eye Shadow -Rock & Republic - Eye Shadow in Snakeskin
rated 5 of 5
chiggy5 6/27/2011 10:55:00 AM

I think R&R shadows are overshadowed by their blushes, but don't get me wrong their blushes are amazing. This shadow is pigmented with a good color payoff, soft and easy to blend, the color is a deep olive with a gold sheen, no glitter or fallout and I like that the eyeshadow compact has a mirror.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick- Crystal Baby
rated 5 of 5
chiggy5 6/11/2011 1:30:00 PM

When I apply this lipstick, I kept thinking it reminds me of a color I have and today when I applied it, it came to me...YSL 148 Tea Rose. I'm not saying it is a dupe but thay have a similar nude about them, E.L. Crystal Baby has more pink. The pink is not garish or bright and there isn't any shimmer/sheen/frost but there is scent...which I do not mind. This is a natural, easy wearable shade and it is non drying to my lips. It retails for $24.

Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - Secret Brightening Powder
rated 5 of 5
chiggy5 5/28/2011 5:44:00 PM

Be careful when taking off the tab that is over the sifter holes when you first get it, I tugged it off to hard and white powder flew onto on top of my vanity...I didn't want to scoop it up and put it back in the pot...wasted. Anyhow, I got this info off the L.M. site; Pick up product with the Camouflage Powder Brush and pat powder onto area of application - don't drag. I do not own the brush but I use my Chanel #11 brush and pat it on. I pat it on one eye then look at my other eye and I can tell a difference, I also can tell when I forget to set my concealer with this as my mascara will transfer to my undereye. It is a subtle brightener not sparkly, I will repurchase. It retails for $22 for 0.14 oz./4g.
