Liquid -Shiseido - Perfect Refining Foundation

Good quality foundation. Feels light, yet has good coverage without that masked look. Gives my complexion a glowing matte finish. Excellent colour selection. I thought O80 would be dark for me as I usually put on OC60 for the powder foundation. But no, it's PERFECT. Though the black little bottle looks cheap, it is perfect for travelling. So ingenious. And a little of the foundation goes a long way. It stays on for the whole day. With a little touch up of pressed powder, it looks fresh all over again. I am loving this darling.

Moisturizers -Jurlique - Balancing Day Care Cream
rated 5 of 5

So, I am back to Jurlique products again as my conscience gets the better of me against products that contain animal by-products and manufactured by unethical companies! I've been using Jurlique for 2 years before I switched to other brands as I am the kind that get easily bored with the same brand over a period of time and am curious to try new routines. I still like the relaxing fragrance of Jurlique products. For this cream, I have long forgotten it when I received it as a sample from the SA. I thought that as a cream, it would be too thick and too rich for my skin. I was totally wrong! If applied correctly(warmed the cream in your hands and gently pressed on your face), this cream feels fantastic. I''ve recently gained a lot of confidence to go out of the house without any makeup as my skin has started to show a good improvement. Unfortunately, this cream does not have an SPF in it. But that makes it special and of perfect consistency.....I'm contemplating between continuing with this or to get the Age-Defying Cream with SPF 15...again out of curiosity...

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

Just bought a bottle of this foundation despite having doubts about the shade. I tried shade 040 as recommended by SA. She loved it but I was apprehensive. True, about 3 hours later when I reached home, the colour was a bit dark and my face looked dull but one thing for sure is that my skin felt and looked natural and even-toned as if there was nothing being put on. So, a few weeks later, I went to the same counter and requested for another shade to be tried upon. The SA was obliging and was being honest that she would not want to sell me anyhing that does not suit my clolour. I remained adamant as I liked the texture and feel of the product. So, I decided on shade 031, something that I would never tried before as it looked lighter in the bottle than 030. However, on application, I prefer it over 030. After wearing it for several weeks now, I love what I've bought. Shade 031 made me look fresh and glowy...Although I purchased the powder foundation in 040, I am not wearing them together as my face looked a bit cakey and the feel is heavy. And in using the liquid foundation, a little goes a long way. No need for concealer at all.....And it seems to stay forever, even after I splashed water on my face in the hot summer heat...Thumbs up!

Moisturizers -SKII - Signs Treatment
rated 5 of 5
chickeboom 1/8/2009 9:01:00 AM

After I stopped using this expensive moisturiser for about two years, I am into it again.. The Signs Treatment Totality is just heavenly and difficult to be forgotten. It has made my skin well moisturised and smooth. Its luxurious texture without greasiness at all made it a fantastic day time moisturiser especially in this dry summer. I have yet to feel the effect this time, it being called by a different name and with some additional new ingredients. As with my expereince using Sk2 products before, I will be patient and wait for a week or two before I can see the effect I'm hoping for.... BTW I switched products because I there was no SK2 here before and Sekkesei has been doing a great job.... but now I'm running out of Sekkesei and the next best option is to go back to SK2 as they have just opened 2 counters here recently. I do not trust products from ebay as I have gotten some fake Sk2 before...

Powder -Paul & Joe - Powder Foundation
rated 3 of 5

Bought the NO:3 as the DuaL Powder Foundation in the same colour was out of stock. The colour is not that fantastic. A bit pinky though. Maybe suitable for light Asian skin.

Lipstick -Tony & Tina - Mood Balance Lipstick -Centered
rated 5 of 5
chickeboom 5/29/2005 10:32:00 AM

I bought this to add to my lipstick collection. I was fascinated by the smell of lavender in the lipstick. The texture is smooth and the colour is nude (brownish, mauve) on my lips. But I find the lipstick extremely soft. It has actually slanted in the tube after about a week of using. Very much similar to Guerlain's sheer lipstick..

Crème -Chanel - Double Perfection Creme Poudre (Creme Powder Makeup)
rated 3 of 5
chickeboom 5/29/2005 10:25:00 AM

I bought this foundation as my face was quite dry and flaky maybe due to two-way cake. Was succumbed to temptation to try any brand of foundation. When I initially used this product (40 intensity no: 2)I thought it was marvellous as the colour was right and the coverage sheer and natural. Would have continued using this if not for the blackheads and whiteheads which formed and my beautician was appalled when I went for my monthly facial! Argh...

Powder -Christian Dior - Diorskin- Fluid and Compact
rated 3 of 5
chickeboom 5/29/2005 10:07:00 AM

I tried no 302 (recommended by the promoter) but it was too pinky for my NC35 (MAC) colour. I looked too made up. So I bought a 300 instead. The colour is perfect (with a beige undertone.) But I still do not like the heavy coverage though no doubt it makes my skin look flawless. I also do not like the heavy feel on my face. I will stick to my Shiseido O60...

Treatments -SKII - Skin Refining Treatment
rated 5 of 5
chickeboom 5/20/2005 12:06:00 PM

This product works but after at least 2 months of usage. When I first started using this, I had a terrible breakout at the nose area (the area where the SA advised me to put on). My pores looked so visible. However, patience pays when my skin gets more and more luminous and the pores slowly 'disappearing' as the day goes by expecially the nose and chin area. I'm tempted to put the cream on my whole face but dare not as it is supposed to be rather strong. Another thing, do not put in on moisturiser. BTW, I live in a hot and humid country...

Powder -Paul & Joe - Dual Powder Foundation UV in No. 03
rated 5 of 5
chickeboom 5/14/2005 2:58:00 PM

I'm a powder freak and have been looking around for the finest powder which closely matches my skin clolour. I've tried many brands from the expensive SKII to the store-brands. I've bought #05(powder foundation) but found it a bit orangey after an hour and it can't really control shine. But fell in love with the fine texture of the powder and decided to purchase #1 instead. So far so good... Texture wise but not the colour
