Treatments -HABA - umi no houseki

This is a clear waxy paste and comes in a tiny tube. Nothing appealing about the packaging but I really wish they'd produced a bigger size of this cause this is very awesome! It has saved my troubled skin. All my rashes subsided and my face has a pink healthy glow. If you've tried steroids and every expensive cream that never helped your eczema, I urge you to try this. You will see your rash scars subside in just days. Redness, itching, marks, dryness, peeling - all gone!

Eyeliner -Revlon - ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen
rated 5 of 5
chi77 12/22/2012 11:17:00 PM

I'm surprised this one has more bad reviews than good. For me, it's one of the best eyeliners. The blackest black is dark enough. I really don't like fine tip pens. This is thicker and denser. And the color stays on till I remove it at night. I've tried the Japanese ones and they're expensive and isn't dark enough. I don't like using liquid liner cause it's messy and harder to get it on. The pen is easier to control. This is half the price of the Japanese brands I use. So I will definitely repurchase.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Egyptian Magic Healing Cream
rated 4 of 5
chi77 10/20/2012 4:34:00 AM

I'm almost done with my first jar. I confess I'm now a Egyptian Magic junkie. I just replenished my stock and bought 2 more jars. I apply this to the face, shoulders, arms, and legs. The secret is not to overdo. I scoop about half an inch, rub in my fingers (just like I'd do with hair wax), and apply by pressing lightly all over the surface of the skin. The stubborn eczema marks I have on my face gradually disappear. Scars got lighter. I must confess that this is now the only thing I travel with if I have to take 1 item with me. I even use this as a lip balm. Bye bye steroids and expensive creams!

Fragrances -Issey Miyake - Florale
rated 3 of 5
chi77 9/30/2012 4:39:00 AM

It's a sweet smell which is mild and nice for younger girls in their 20s. The fragrance doesn't wear long and I need at least 3 sprays before I can smell anything on myself. Maybe it's my body that can't retain fragrances for too long. I still prefer the older version of Issey that comes in the white box and clear bottle.

Masks -Dr. Jart+ - pore x peeling gel
rated 5 of 5
chi77 9/7/2011 1:20:00 AM

I've been using this a few times a week for the last 1 month. I have very sensitive skin and cannot scrub as it breaks me out. This gel can be used alternate days but I use it about 2-3 times a week before mask. I feel my skin is always very clean and smooth after the peel. The pores definitely look finer now. I think I need to consistently use it for a few months to see the full results. Scars also heal faster. It doesn't hurt pimples. No redness or irritation. This is the gentlest peel I've used. Others have caused lots of reddening and breakouts. I'll continue to repurchase this cause it's not expensive and gives me the desired results.

Eyeliner -TheFACEShop - easy brush eyeliner
rated 1 of 5
chi77 8/2/2011 10:10:00 PM

This wasn't cheap considering it's a piece of crap that can't be used at all. For US10, I have this supposedly black eyeliner that can hardly draw a firm black line and it appears like a pen with its ink dried up. The tip is hard and rough. So the more I draw, the more scratched my lids are. Besides, I have to draw over my lid many times to even get enough color to appear. This is the worse makeup I've bought in my life. A real waste of money and it goes right into the trash. Maybe I'll use it to write, lol!

Polishes -TheFACEShop - Nail Talk Polish (All Colors)
rated 5 of 5
chi77 3/26/2011 11:00:00 PM

I have a collection of their nail polish. I'm reviewing the new release of their 'FACE it' shimmer range. I got this in PK103 (sweet shimmer pink), GL111 (strong shimmer gold), GR501 (shimmer opal mint green). TFS polish is sheer and the trick to using it is coat on coat. Leave it to dry for about 10-30secs after every coat. I do about 3 coats and it lasts me for about 2 weeks. The color is sheer if you apply 1 coat. Don't immediately apply the 2nd coat because you will not get the intensity of the color. I swim alot and the chlorine doesn't affect the color at all. It's value for money. The shades are really nice compared to the ones of similar price in other brands. It applies smooth and the quality is comparable to that of Revlon and Sally Hansen which cost me about three times more.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - L'Oreal Color Riche Nutri Shine in Vivid Rose P122
rated 5 of 5
chi77 1/29/2011 2:54:00 AM

I was at the store browsing and had no intention to buy any lip makeup. In fact I was looking for a blusher. However I couldn't help but notice how beautiful the packaging of this lipstick is. Now I know why cosmetic companies spend so much effort in designing the lip case. It has absolutely no resemblance to a drugstore lippie. This would be something I'd draw out of my bag in the ladies and feel good about how nice it looks. It has a cool pastel pink transparent glassy exterior with an interior silver capsule to lodge the stick. I was crazy trying the shades because they all looked stunning. I finally settled for Vivid Rose. It applies like a lip balm, has an intensity of a lipstick and shines like a semi-gloss without looking all tacky and disco-chic. VIvid Rose is a bright pink. Applied lightly, it goes on sheer. A few more strokes and the color deepens to give you an intense pink. At least the shade doesn't scream "drugstore pink"! It's an elegant shade that can easily be mistaken for something classy.

Loose Powders -Unlisted Brand - Palgantong Theatrical Powder
rated 5 of 5
chi77 1/3/2011 3:12:00 AM

I was shopping for an affordable loose powder and read good reviews about this. So I went ahead and bought one online in light beige. The shade is a light transparent pale pink with a just a tint of beige. So it's perfect for fair to very fair skin. The powder is really fine and melts into the skin. The texture reminds me of T'LeClerc. It doesn't have any shimmer. The oil-control is excellent as I don't get any oily breakthrough. This is a matte powder. I will certainly repurchase but since it's a big box of powder, it'll take me a while to finish. **UPDATE - i've just replenished my powder and decided to go for original beige which is a medium peach color. On fair skin, it gives more depth and radiance compared to light beige which is a little more subdued.

Tinted Moisturizer -Unlisted Brand - Dr. young 2p pearl brightening balm spf35++
rated 5 of 5
chi77 11/14/2010 3:50:00 AM

This is my absolute favorite. I've tried brtc, dr jart, skin79, dr.g, elishacoy, and etude. This is by far the best for me. It's hydrating and has brightening properties. So it gives you a dewy finish instead of matte. Dry skin will love this.I find it covers pores better than brtc gold caviar. The shade is wearable because it looks natural without that white cast you get when you take pictures. Among all the brands I've tried, etude bb cream is the worst. All their bb creams broke me out and looked ghastly pale and cakey. Elishacoy texture is too light and has zero coverage. BRTC is relatively good and 2nd best to Dr. young. Skin79 is very sheer and most likely more suited to young teenage skin. Dr G is the same brand that produces Dr. young.I also like Dr G's hydrating bb cream though I must admit I like Dr. young more cause the finish is smoother and pearl-like.

Powders -Covermark - Brightening Powder
rated 5 of 5
chi77 11/13/2010 7:09:00 AM

This comes in 20g refill, box sold separately. The sales lady was generous enough to give me some sample packets to try. This is super fine that it melts into the skin. Reminds me of T'leClerc. If you're oily, this won't help to control oil that well. It's hydrating, not drying. Comes in Platinum Lucent and Gold Lucent. If you're cool skin-toned like me, go for Platinum. It's a sheer pearly white. Has a translucent dewy finish. This is one of the best loose powders I've used. It really brightens the complexion.

BB Cream -Skin79 - Diamond The Prestige BB Cream
rated 2 of 5
chi77 10/18/2010 4:48:00 AM

I tried this in the miniature size. Won't buy the full size cause it's not what I expect from a bb cream. Coverage is sheer. So far, Skin79 has been disappointing.
