Thank goodness I got this product as a sample! I seriously considered shelling out the moola to purchase the XL, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money on a lip product. So, when I saw that it came as a sample size in a kit I wanted, I jumped at the opportunity to try it out without breaking my wallet! I had very high expectations, due to all of the awards and "best product" votes that this product has been given by so many various magazines and websites. However, I was sadly disappointed. I've been using the LipFusion XL at night as directed for a few months. I've not noticed any difference in my lips...plumping-wise, that is! What I have noticed is that my lips now seem to be much more dry than before I started using it. This makes me mad, because I wish I would never have used it in the first place. I have never struggled with chapped or dry lips my whole life! I also don't like the regular Lipfusion products. They just don't do anything for my lips, except make them tingly. I wondered if staying well-hydrated might make a difference in how well this product plumps. So, I've also been drinking well over the suggested 64oz of water per day for a month now. I had hoped that this might make a difference in how the LF products work on me, but alas it didn't make any difference at all. Bottom line: Based on the reviews I've read and heard, the LipFusion products work best on people who already have fuller lips naturally. I've noticed that almost all of the people who report that it does plump their lips are people who have full lips to begin with. I have medium-sized lips, so I can't help but assume that this is the reason it didn't work on me. Buyer beware!
