The oxygen-giving ingredient is perfluorodecalin, a fluorocarbon (chemically inert compound), which increase the oxygen content in liquids. As an aside, fluorocarbons also are responsible for much of the ozone depletion that occurs in the atmosphere. Research has made it abundantly clear that oxygen, despite the fact that we need it to stay alive, is also a source of free-radical damage throughout the entire body (Sources: Phytotherapy Research, November 2010, Epublication; Current Drug Metabolism, June 2010, pages 409–424; and Human and Experimental Toxicology, February 2002, pages 61–62). Giving your skin more oxygen than what occurs naturally is anti-aging in the wrong direction: pro-aging! - See Paula's choice!
This DOES work to grow out your eyelashes! Mine look so much longer - I no longer have to wear mascara daily to make my short-average eyelashes show up - they actually look curled up by themselves without mascara - really open up my eyes and make them look bigger! It makes me so much happier- such an amazing and inexpensive treatment :). My boyfriend noticed too *your eyelashes are really long!* *open mouthed intense face* ^_^ ooo so awesome - and I've only been using it for 3 weeks everynight!! And it's so cheap compared to all the other eyelash growth serums!
This concealer is totally awesome! It looks 100% like skin (undetectable in texture and colour), yet skin that is incredibly smooth and healthily radiant (not a sparkle fest). It's long wearing (7ish hours), and has pretty much full coverage which is amazing considering how undetectable it is. Great for undereye and acne; and no ingredients will break you out/irritate your skin :). It's also a great price considering the quality! I also love the packaging - it's sleek and pretty ^_^! I definitely think they sorted the packaging out; as product comes out fine; quickly and in a good amount. HG!
I'm incredibly interested in WHY skin products work. I wanted to know why green tea was good for my skin and why it would work. In a recent clinical trial green tea has been found to affect the four main causes related to acne production; (1) increased sebum production (2) altered keratinization of follicular keratinocytes, (3) activity of P. acnes, and (4) inflammation. Green tea combats all these issues! Meaning it shall create much smaller pores, greatly reduce inflammation, PREVENT the production of acne. It prevents acne as it affects the pore lining; fixing the damaged pore structure; damaged pore structure is how our skin gets clogged up with dirt, dead skin cells and oil. It also kills the P acne bacteria responsible for producing acne (messed up pores and the bacteria are what create acne in the first place). Typically benzolyn peroxide is used to kill P acnes - however many people experience horrific dry skin and skin that looks aged - this is what put me off and why I wanted to research green tea! Green tea has been found to produce none of these extreme affects - found only to have very minor negative affects. BHA is typically used to alter the pores of the skin for those with acne - while I love this product I find it also causes my skin to become flakey. Green tea doesn't! It's also way cheaper than these products! It also works on acne that is already on the skin; helping healing and lessening inflammation. Green tea leaves my pores FAR FAR smaller in a couple of uses, it leaves my skin a lot smoother - I haven't been using it long enough to know if it really will do what it has been reported to do but I will update a let you guys know :)!
Primer/ Corrector -MAC - Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50

Oh my god. This is GOOD. I bought it a couple of years ago but was let down as I didn't feel like it did much (I think I ws expecting it to superglue my makeup down...). However, I pulled this out again; applied, it makes for incredibly smooth and poreless looking skin! It also does make my mu stay on a lot longer (not magically so but around a few hours more, and makeup still stays on much better in heat or by the end of the day with only gradual fading as compared to makeup evaporation!) HG
I love this! It gives a really gorgeous natural glow- I have a dozen highlighters and this is the only one I get complimented on *your skin is SO glowy!* *you look well! 'mesmerized eyes'* *your skin has an amazing glow*. It also LASTS on my skin - yay! Every other cream/liquid highlighter tends to fade off or change from glowy to greasy and sparkly - but this stays truly glowy, and powder highlighters highlight my dry skin :(. However, I can't wear ths all the time because it contains alcohol which is known skin drier and irritant. I suspect the alcohol is what makes it last so long, but it does make my skin a little dry (however it doesn't break me out at all and my skin is quite break out prone). So I use it on special occasions - wish I could use it more!
Lip Liners -Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Wicked

THIS LIPLINER IS AMAZING. I have such tinyyy lips. This is the perfect 'bigger natural lips' lipliner. I lightly dab some of it over my bottom lip, press them together then overline my lips by two thick lines. This makes my lips look much fuller! However - unlike the popular Mac Shades, such as Half-Red or Whirl, this does not look 'DRAMATIC'. And unlike lighter shades such as Mac Deverish, it's not too light that it can't pass off as my lips. With this my lips look fuller ^_^! And the line doesn't rub off and look ridiculous like other non-long wearing lip liners. This, I line - and it stays true for a few hours, passing off as my own lips, it begins to fade but very slowly and naturally, unlike most liners. The color is gorgeous red-pink-berry shade - it is SO pretty! I love it! I also love the texture - not too creamy that it slides everywhere, but not too tough that you can't draw a line. It glides over smoothly. One can easily remove mess up, by lightly rubbing, yet at the same time it won't budge once it has set more. I'd say it has BRILLIANT lasting power, similar to MUA lipliners - however MUA lasts longer - but those were far too bright and fake in shade, not anything like this beautiful lipliner that only enhances rather than looking fake and obvious. HG! Thanks MUA! Such a gorgeous colour - have to say again! Check it out ^_^
Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Tangle Teezer

Oh my god! This is AMAZING! My hair was so gross, tangled up and matted! Combs hurt, literlly ripping out the hair! THIS is wonderful, it glides through my hair in like a couple of mins (before it was like a 15 min sesh!). And it makes my hair look so much nicer, it feels so much silikier and smoother and I think the brush itself is too cute ^_^! Eeee Hg ^_^! Makes for lovely silky hair! Thank you MUA girls :D!
This is AWESOME. Cons - 1. OVERCOME. When I first got this I was highly annoyed, because it greased off and streaked off in like under an hour, really badly highlighting my pores rather than hiding them ugh! And I used too much of the pale side - which made me looked washed out. I was too afraid to add more pink/dark shade, but when I did it TOTALLY got rid of the mad redness in my spots! LOVE IT. I also remembered reading that TOO MUCH product can cause slippage into pores and off of the skin. So if you're having issues, with insanely bad pore highlighting and slipping - please try using less! I did - and now this is my HG concealer :)! Second ish. Having to blend it! Also a pro because you can make it match your skin perectly, however makeup brands seem to FINALLY be getting it together and including a vast range of shades for the very pale to very dark (ABOUT TIME!) - without those ridiculous undertones. Thank you for making skin products that look like skin finally. So yeah, it'd be better if we didn't have to waste our time mixing it up. It is time consuming. it is messy, and a little dirty, I can't wash my hands before every application! Also - this isn't good as an undereye concealer - because it is so thick and heavy (AMAZING for bad bad acne etc). My boyfriend was worrying rambling that I was getting under eye wrinkles and that I NEEDED to stop using what ever skincare thing I did under my eyes...but it was just this creasing up from smiling haha :D. Yeah, so it's a little thick :). But I think that that is what a concealer pen should be for - light in consistency, where this bad boy of a thick cream SHOULD be used for acne and scaring :). But bitching aside ^_^, this is awesome. Because it is the ONLY concealer out of like 20 I have tried - since they discontinued the awesome but terribly pore clogging Estee L maximum cover cream foundation/concealer - that covers so that all redness is GONE (add the pinker/darker side - it really neutralizes the red right out!). It is also the ONLY stuff that stays on my skin solidly for hours - the ONLY stuff that does without containing any alcohol (which will irritate skin, dry out skin and break people out but also the main ingredient that prolongs mu wear) - AWESOME. It fully covers, it lasts a long time, it is smooth coverage - WHAT MORE COULD YA WANT :)? - erh edit, this looks too thick and is not that long lasting, plus im hitting the pan...still great coverage though :) Edit - if you want a good concealer which magically covers up rednness, and looks smooth and beautiful - check out the Ellis Faas!
Primer/ Corrector -Revlon - PhotoReady Perfecting Primer (color 001)
cherriesandpie 10/1/2012 7:54:00 AM
As a drugstore product - it's really good! And has cured me of brand snobbery! It creates a smooth canvas, really really diminishes pores, making my skin look a lot smoother - helps my mu last longer- like a few hours longer - which is AWESOME. Especially considering this hs NO alcohol in like pretty much all the other makeup hold in place products and primers around - so it's skin kind, no irritations, no breakouts. I use MAC primer protect and perfect spf 50 - which is WAY more expensive, but leaves my skin much more greasy, has a lot less staying power for mu and leaves my skin looking far less smooth and pore-less. So, EXCELLENT product! I also appreciate that it has no SPF (most products WITH spf will not even give the protection they advertise, because of how small the percentage of sun protection is in the product!) as it means it will not make me pasty in photos - great for nights out, where photos are being taken but you want your mu to last! Thanks Revlon! okay...this peels off. ~(edit)
Primer/ Corrector -Paul & Joe - Protective Foundation Primer SPF 30
cherriesandpie 8/25/2012 6:19:00 AM
I love this :D! I was having trouble with my mu not lasting for even four hours, with setting powder. I used this, because I needed some SPF (hadn't used it in a while so forgot really how good it was!). And it amazed me! It has a horrid sticky texture when you first apply it, but that goes away in a couple of minutes. But it kept mu mu on from 5pm till 1:00am! Amazing stuff! Also provides a nice glow, which can seem a little oily but can be fixed by a setting powder :). It also has no ingredients which break the skin out or irritants in it :). It's also easy to use in terms of packaging, squeeze bottle is easy and efficient :). And it has a very cute packaging. You also don't need to use much at all. Holds my mu on far better than MAC primer everyone raves about here :) - that did a little to smooth but didn't provide the luminosity and fabulous lasting power this did. GREAT product :). It's also water based so make sure to check that you are using compatible water based foundation and concealer :).
Makes skin GLOW! Looks gorgeous on skin - glowing, smoothed out, supple - radiant! Has a sheer but adequate coverage. GREAT shade range, I am normally the palest shade - but in this I am shade 3 (about MAC nw18) and it matches really really well! It has great natural undertones, not too orange or pink or yellow. I'd say it's more on the cool side, but a true skin color - not strong undertones. Very impressed. HG for its beautiful effect on the skin - gorgeously glowing and smoothed out. Like an Angels face haha :)! However, not got much coverage, so would need to be mixed with a higher coverage fdtn or used with a good concealer. It also contains no skin irritants or acne causing ingredients. Some claim cones are bad for their skin...having read up on them - on sources backed with research and science, they are actually skin conditioners, and don't have a high rate for causing break outs or irritations. However, I don't want to disregard people's experiences and personal opinions, we all have unique skin which may react badly to certain chemicals that others have no issue with :). edit; sometimes slides around a bit!! looks kind of greasy/wet/i scracth my skin and it leaves a mark...weird, doesnt work great with other products! redeit = omg this is so f*cking gorgeous. I have started to apply it very lightly - and it's glowy perfection, when it slid around an dlooked too wet, i think i applied too many different kinds of products and too thickly. Now I apply a very light amount and it is just beautiful! I find the coverage to be quite good even though it's sheer (when applied thick it has high medium coverage) - but i find when i apply too much it obscures my face sructure as it looks too thick and mask like! Anyway awesome product - no breakouts from it at all :o). Love how i tmakes my skin look and has pretty amazing lasting power! The shades also run quite light so watch out for that :)!
