i'm on the fence about this product. i read on a blog for brown girls and i assumed it would be a great every day duo for me. I don't think so - I wonder if maybe I need sometime of colored eyeshadow base or someother colors to make it work for me. This duo just does not seem to do anything - I think they make me look tired.
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Infallible Lip Gloss in Sangria

lovely mlbb color that may suit most if not all skin tones. Great to wear daily with most makeup looks. product has a weird smell (i associate that smell with most loreal lippies) and weird wand - suppossed to help you apply product easier with one coat.
I do not like the rubber packaging of these nars products as they get dirty easily. But I think this is a good every day blush/bronzer combo for and indian/latina girl who is warm toned nc 42 to nc 44 in MAC. Both products have shimmer so I don't know how well this would suit oily skinned/older women and I would not use the bronzer for contouring. I won't repurchase as I don't consider this HG.
I think this has been discontinued but I've seen similar shades in other palettes (check lorac's website). This contains three shimmer shadows moonstone (lightest shade), serenity (medium shade), garnet (red brown shade? which is my favorite, a matte brown shadow (suede) and a matte pink blush (soul). This palette is very travel friendly and the shades are very smooth. Great colors for every day use. I've had this palette for a while and the quality is fab. The packaging is chic & compact as well.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Eyestudio quad - Copper Chic

nice compact, quad with metallic neutrals. I don't think this is well suited to anyone with wrinkly lids as it has a ton of shimmer. But the compact size is good for travelling and I love the darkest colour - it is a nice neutral for me. Won't rebuy as I don't consider it HG and I love experimenting with different brands/palettes
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve

i prefer not having to dig out of a tub when wanting to use my lip balm throughout the day because I think it's not hygenic. But I really like the product. It really softens the skin and does not leave a white rim around the inner part of my lips.
I purchased this from a duty free shop in Bangalore, so I'm not sure of it's availability here in the US. The employee said it was a popular color among his clients there. It's a beautiful, wearable everyday red with gold shimmer (although the gold does not translate onto the lips). The lipstick is comfortable to wear on it's own - but I top it off with Beaute's red lip gloss in urge - and I think it looks quite nice.
The product looks nice - red with shimmers but on my face it does not seem to look right. I don't really see the shimmers but I don't think the color suits me well. I prefer the matte exhibit A much more to this blush.
I received this as a sample gift jar when I made a purchase at skinstore.com. I've been trying it out recently as I'm too lazy to bring my regular moisturizer while traveling. I really like the texture of this cream. It is not very thick but feels very moisturizing on the skin. I do not have any dry spots/patches after using this cream. However, the cream has a strange odor - I can't really describe but it's kinda put me off. Considering the thousands of other products out there that are equally as good I'm not sure if I'll repurchase - regardless, overall I think his line is definitely worth exploring.
Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
chechi 9/3/2012 3:13:00 PM
I've tried a couple different micellar waters - avene, caudalie and bioderma. I really like using the bioderma when i'm too lazy to remove my makeup before going to bed (which is 99% of the time - I know it's bad but O well...). Compared to the others, bioderma seems to do the best job at taking off the makeup. I purchased mine while I was at Shoppers Drug Mart in BC, Canada as I'm not sure where else to get it from.
I bought this because I needed an alternative to the shiseido sunscreen I own. It isn't really an equivalent as it is not mattifying. It does leave a slight sheen/oiliness to the face. But for a drug store product, it does not leave a white cast and it does protect the skin from the sun so I now have multiples of these tubes.
This base did slightly crease on me - even after I put a powder eye shadow on top. I think this color is a basic neutral - it's a bit dark and dull looking on me on it's own so I tend to just use it as a base. I think if you have oily lids and live in humid climates, I would still recommend a primer before using this product.
Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes~Waterproof
chechi 8/8/2012 10:12:00 PM
the one i have says voluminous false lashes waterproof - not sure if that's the same thing but it's the one in the gold packaging. I love the packaging - looks expensive. The brush wand is not as thick as regular voluminous - so it's easy to reach for the tinier lashes. The formula itself was slightly wet in the beginning - but I have worn it all day (around 13 to 16 hours) daily for the past two weeks and it's stayed on with no smudges/flakes. I don't curl my lashes so I can't comment on that.
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle
chechi 7/18/2012 11:28:00 AM
I agree that is a MLBB shade for most ladies and it is a very safe/flattering shade to try. The formula is really soft so this would probably melt in hot weather & the packaging is not the best. I've been wearing this to work daily with beaute's heroine lipgloss on top (looks very put-together)
Nice bronzy based blush that flatters nc 42 - 45 skintones. I re-discovered this in my makeup stash and have been using it daily... great for summer. The only con is the price tag (but that comes with the brand).
