Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Oil Free
chanel2110 8/8/2012 2:26:00 PM
I'd buy this again, but I don't really have a need for it. I use the shade Bisque, I am NC 25/30. It's actually pretty thick for being a tinted moisturizer, but that means it is great for layering. I have had somewhat varying experiences with this, some days it lasts all day, and some days it melts off by the 3rd hour. I don't know if it depends on how active I've been that day, or what the deal is but sometimes I love it and sometimes I don't. I feel like it's too thick to wear on a "no makeup makeup day" but it is a nice alternative to foundation when I feel like a bit more of a fresh look.
This is one of my HG blushes... has been for YEARS! I love it. It gives the perfect natural flush, I think it compliments many skin tones (I am NC 25/30). I think it also does well with Bobbi Brown's theory of using two blushes, one base and another "pop" color, this is definitely more of the base.
I think that the colors are phenomenal and I don't have anything like the shimmery topper that is in this palette. However, the pigmentation lasting power is terrible on me. I have to make sure to use a really good primer, and then put several layers of the darkest shadow on, and even then, it fades within a few hours. For such a high end product, I'd expect more lasting power. But all that aside, I still think it's a lovely compact.
Tinted Moisturizer -Chanel - Hydramax Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - Sunlit

I have re-purchased Sunlit multiple times, and am always so happy to have it around. I don't use it every day as I like to have a bit more coverage for "professional" days, but for weekends, or times when I want a really healthy glow, or need a little more moisturizer than normal, I always use this. The consistency is nice, and it has a really lovely scent. i heard that they are discontinuing this product, and I really, really hope that isn't true.
This is a GORGEOUS foundation. I'm 23, and I don't think that you necessarily need to have fine lines or anything to use this. It is perfect for dry/combination skin, and it gives the most beautiful glow. I used to have incredibly oily skin but my skin changed to dry/combination the last several months and I needed to shift out of my comfort zone for a foundation that would suit my new needs. This became my HG immediately. It photographs unlike anything I've worn before - my skin looks bright, golden, flawless. It covers very well, I don't need extra concealer on old acne scars. It is very natural, and the lightest feeling foundation I've encountered with such coverage properties. I think it's lighter even than a tinted moisturizer like Laura Mercier. Beautiful finish, wonderful feel. It's a gem, that's for sure, I'm NC 25/Beige 40, intensity 3.0
This is a fantastic foundation for oilier skin types. I USED to have oily skin, and I mean oily. I would need a mattifying primer, special moisturizer, mattifying powder, blot papers etc... and my makeup would still slide off my face. For some reason the past 6 months or so my skin changed to a very dry patchy type, and I've been using Lift Lumiere, which is WON-DER-FUL for dry skin. It's absolutely gorgeous but that's another review. The thing is that the past week or so as the weather is changing, my skin has become more oily again, and my Lift Lumiere is beginning to slide off my face. So I hopped into Nordstrom and saw this new little gem. I decided to go for it, and it is such a beautiful foundation. It reminds me a LOT of Double Perfection Fluid, which was my HG for years, but which was discontinued about 3 years ago. The thing is that I don't think my skin is quite oily enough for this *yet. I am going to keep it around because it's gorgeous and my skin may become more oily in the coming weeks, and I can see this being a great foundation for the future. But for now my skin is still a bit dry. I am NC 25 and Beige 30.
Sunscreen -Chanel - UV Essentiel Protective UV Care Anti Pollution SPF 50

I'd buy this again, but only if I were going on a long, sunny vacation. It was wonderful for that - I went to Hawaii, and needed something that wouldn't provoke my sensitive/acne skin and this was great. It was light, but very effective.
I've bought this product several times, and I love it. It nourishes my hair like nothing else that I have found. It makes it silky soft, and very shiny. And the smell is so incredible.
This is terribly expensive, BUT it is a fabulous color. And the texture is smooth and creamy and feels lovely on the lips. The case is also exquisite and the lipstick itself has patterned checks engraved all around the stick. It's beautiful. I would recommend this color to someone who wants an "I was just kissed and am a little flushed" look.

To me, the smell alone is enough to turn me off forever, and I have never thought that about any product, despite having encountered many unappealing ones. There is something about it that makes me feel like I'm going to be sick, and I do apologize for the TMI. Scent aside, it didn't do anything to help clear any blemishes or close up my pores. It did feel very nice going on, but again and I'm sorry to throw this back in, but the smell was unbearable! Sorry, I wish I could add another good rating, but it just wasn't helpful for me.
Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional

I really don't understand why this has such a low rating!! I love it! I've tried all sorts of primers/pore minimizers etc... and this is by far my favorite. It makes my skin feel SO soft and it does exactly what I want it to, minimize my pores. It gives a soft airbrushed look and my makeup looks flawless, BECAUSE of it, I just know it. Awesome, awesome, and I think it helps my foundation last longer as well. I for one will definitely repurchase.
Liquid -Giorgio Armani - Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF20

I LOVE this foundation. I have been on the hunt for an HG, and honestly, this is probably it. On most days I prefer to use a tinted moisturizer and powder, but when I want to wear foundation, this is the one I reach for. I only need 1 to 2 pumps, depending on the type of coverage that I'm seeking. I have oily skin with some dry spots and as long as I moisturize beforehand, this does everything I need it to. It's one of the only foundations I've tried that I don't NEED to oil blot or touch up during the day. Would it look more perfect after 7 hours had I touched up? Yes, but the fact that it still looks great without a touch up is a huge requirement for me. I'm NC 25 and I use this in 5.5. The bottle itself is absolutely beautiful with understated sparkles. It lasts all day, I have fairly problematic skin with breakouts and if it's a particularly bad breakout I do like to use a concealer, but it's not necessary and I don't need to powder my whole face, either, just the t-zone which is a first for me with liquid foundations. I love it and I totally recommend it.
Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes Plump - LUSCIOUS LITCHI
chanel2110 6/21/2010 1:56:00 AM
I love this! I just found it at the bottom of my drawer and put it on (even though it's years old... I know, I know, so bad!!) and it is so beautiful! There are so many different dimensions of color - some blue, baby pink, bright pink, gold, pearls. It's gorgeous, but... I'm worried that it's discontinued! I'm going to look it up.
Lipstick -Clinique - Different Lipstick - Raspberry Glace

This might be one of the only lipsticks that I'll ever repurchase. It is so beautiful and I LOVE the way it looks on top of other lip glosses. I didn't actually think this would be a good color for me at first, because it looks rather dark in the tube. But once on, it's a lovely berry pop that brightens up my entire complexion. Right now I'm loving layering it with Bobbi Brown's Rose Gold and MAC's Steppin Out. BB is a bronzy mauve color and MAC's is a bright hot glittery pink. It all just looks so good together and even when I wear this lipstick alone, it's beautiful. It's a creamy smooth feel and just wonderful for a fresh look. I hope this doesn't become discontinued - I can't believe the low rating!!
I'm not sure if I like this blush. I wish I did because the reviews are great! But I think that it might be too pink for me. And because it's so pigmented, I can't layer it, and if I can't layer it, it tends to fade on me within a matter of a couple of hours. I'm going to give it a try though for the next week, so... hopefully I'll grow to love it! I'll update. Oh, for reference I am NC20. EDIT: Yep, didn't end up liking it, had to return it. Too pink for me!
