Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast 24 HR Mascara
rated 4 of 5

I only had tried the Lash Blast Fusion in "Water Resistant" which I did not like thanks to its inability to hold a curl but I always wanted to see what all the hype around the Lash Blast Waterproof was. However, after reading the reviews about how difficult it was to remove, I never bought it (plus, where I live it is quite expensive for a drugstore mascara). Then this 24h version appeared and some people seemed to think it was not as difficult to remove as the waterproof version so I decided to try it out. You should know that my lashes are sparse, thin, have an average length and stick straight. I expect mascara to hold a curl and that's why I prefer the waterproof versions. This mascara is good. The packaging does not say it is waterproof but it holds a curl like other waterproof mascaras and you also can not remove it with water. You must use a special waterproof eye makeup remover (try the one by Nivea, the dual phased one that you have to shake, it is the best one I have found so far) or some kind of oil: mineral, olive, almond, etc. If you do it carefully, you should not have any problems removing this mascara (or have lash fall out), in fact it is true: this Lash Blast 24h is easier to remove than some waterproof mascaras. Besides holding a curl, this mascara provides decent volume and length. The color is fine too. I do not have problems with it smudging or flaking, so far. I do not hate the brush but I do wish the tip was a bit thinner, so it would be easier to work on the corners of the eyes. I have many years of experience applying mascara so I make the brush work. Overall, it is a good mascara but I am not impressed. It gives me slightly better results than Maybelline's Great Lash Waterproof, which means: it is OK but there is not drama. I still think that other Maybelline waterproof mascaras (Colossal, Falsies, Lash Stiletto, etc.) are much better and they offer a wider selection of brushes and desired effects. I do not think I will repurchase, the two main reasons being that I know better products that cost less and that this brand is not cruelty free.

Hair -Sacha Cosmetics - Sally - Hair One Hair Cleanser and Conditioner
rated 5 of 5

I love this. Yes, I am never going back to normal hair products either. My hair is long, down to my waist, naturally straight, not too fine but not thick either. I do not color, perm my hair, ever and I rarely use a hair straightener. I use Hair One (Olive Oil) to co-wash my hair for two days in a row and then I use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner combo. This routine works perfectly and my hair has never been better. It is so soft, shiny and healthy. I have to mention that I always use cold water when washing my hair, I normally dry it with a towel, then let it air dry and finish it with a blow drier (cold temperature). I swear by this product and I am always recommending it to anyone who will listen.

Fragrances -Chanel - No 5 Eau Premiere
rated 5 of 5

This is heavenly! Everything I love about the original no. 5 but better: smoother aldehydes, soft neroli, roses and ylang-ylang, dreamy powder plus a touch of refreshing sharp citrus. This is my definition of beauty. Average sillage and longevity, for a Chanel, it could be better.

Fragrances -Coty - Pulse EDP by Beyonce

This is delicious! On my skin it smells like a big fat orange creamsicle and I love it for smelling like that. It's all about the curacao, vanilla and bergamot. I smell nothing else. Make sure you try on skin because on paper it turns too sweet and powdery. Sillage and longevity are average.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - heat rush

I am pleasantly surprised with this one. On my skin I smell a lot of mango, a bit of musk, some spicy amber and just a touch of wood. The rest of the fruits and flowers add a generic sweetness without compromising the fragrance's appeal. It's not groundbreaking but being sweet, fruity, uncomplicated, it fits perfectly in the current trend (think Escada). I'm a sucker for anything tropical so there you go. My favorite part is the price. Unfortunately it stays very close to the skin and longevity could be MUCH better...

Fragrances -Paris Hilton - Tease
rated 3 of 5
cepauloar 7/4/2012 3:27:00 PM

This is my first celebrity fragrance. I'm not a fan of Miss Hilton whatsoever so once I got past that idea plus the fact that I got it for a very good price, well I have to say that I'm really enjoying my purchase. I was interested in Tease because I LOVE tuberose. It's my favorite flower and one of my favorite notes. Tease opens very fruity, I smell mostly the apple. Maybe a little peach too, but bergamot is being overpowered and yes I can already smell the florals coming. The opening doesn't last long though. Voilà les heart notes: it's mostly about the tuberose while the jasmine does linger in the background, and I still notice a sweet juiciness from the fruits. I have no idea what frangipani smells like in real life so I can't really comment on that note. I get some whiffs of what I imagine to be the hot sand. It's not strong but it's definitely there. The drydown is dominated by the tuberose, so it's a win for me. This is a fruity tuberose, I don't find a chypre quality in it. It's more of a floral to me. It doesn't have too much fruit, like say Radiance by Britney Spears. But the tuberose is really the star of this show. Sillage and longevity of this are both awesome on my skin. To be completely honest, the notes in Tease clash a bit, they're not completely well blended but it's quite nice for an inexpensive tuberose.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush Sweet Tease
rated 5 of 5

I LOVE this thing! In the opening I smell tart berries, more like blackberries but then the drydown is all about creamy vanilla. It's not synthetic but foody, delicious vanilla. For a fragrance mist its sillage and longevity are quite decent. I spray on clothes and this way I can smell this for a longer time. I'm obsessed with this.

Bronzers -L'Oreal - Glam Bronze La Terra
rated 4 of 5
cepauloar 7/3/2012 1:33:00 AM

I have a medium complexion with warm undertones. I often use bronzer as a blush. Mine is in 01 (no. 02 was way too shimmery for me). The texture is fine, not matte (I love that it is not matte) but the shimmer is very fine. I use this to contour and it works. The color is a light brown, a bit orange. It's very buildable, pigmentation is average. Not my favorite bronzer but it's a nice one.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
cepauloar 7/1/2012 1:28:00 AM

This product is alright. I like the packaging, the color, the ease of application. But I wish it came in waterproof because this baby tends to fade a bit and I don't even have oily skin. And the applicator tip is quite good in theory. But in reality it's not thin enough at the point and it's too soft and bendy (for my taste). Sometimes I am in a hurry and I can't achieve the perfect line but other times it applies really easily. I am still in the hunt for the perfect liquid eyeliner.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
rated 2 of 5
cepauloar 7/1/2012 1:24:00 AM

UGH! I had high expectations about this product. I wanted it to be MAC's Fluidline dupe but it's not. I love the consistency and the pigmentation. The packaging is quite nice and the brush is good. BUT this stuff just FADES! I don't even have oily skin and this just gets disappears from my eyelid within in the first three hours. I need my eyeliner to stay all day with me! And it SMUDGES very badly, I now know the meaning of "panda eyes". Please go and get Fluidline, it's totally worth it.

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal
rated 5 of 5

I absolutely LOVE this product. I stopped using antiperspirants about a year ago. I was hesitant to try this product because of the price but in the store they said they would refund me if I didn't like it so here I am. I know it doesn't reduce your perspiration but to be completely honest, that doesn't bother me at all. What I am concerned about is body odor and this wonderful deodorant eliminates it completely. I've used it for a couple of months now and it's the only (belive me, the ONLY) product that keeps me completely odor-less for the whole day. Do know one thing, while showering (every day) I scrub my armpits with a loofah and shower gel or soap. I like to give myself a good scrub and then on clean skin apply this deodorant. In my opinion, even the strong deodorants and antiperspirants won't work as well if you don't wash your armpits properly and daily. The only problem I see with it (besides the price, which is totally worth it) is that if it falls, well... it breaks and then you lose a lot of product. I know, you're thinking DUH! but what I mean is that, it's kind of a pricey deodorant and you want your investment back. So be careful while handling it. I recommend this to the whole world, I hope that it doesn't stop working for me, like I read in some reviews. I will continue to repurchase it.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto - Waterproof

cepauloar 6/30/2012 11:39:00 PM

My lashes are sparse, thin, have an average length and stick straight. I expect mascara to hold a curl and that's why I prefer the waterproof versions. I love this mascara. It holds a curl, the brush is very easy to use and I find that it gives me a nice result with one coat already. I get decent volume and a nice length. I don't have big smudging problems. And I find it easy to remove at night, using a bit of baby oil + waterproof eye make up remover. This is one of my favorite mascaras, one that I know I can always rely on. I have repurchased and I'd recommend this to everyone.

Eye Makeup Remover -Nivea - Express Eye Makeup Remover
rated 5 of 5
cepauloar 6/30/2012 11:19:00 PM

I absolutely LOVE this product. I always wear waterproof mascara and other eye make up and this gets all off immediately. I apply a couple of drops on my finger tips and rub very gently on my eyelid and eyelashes. The waterproof mascara melts right away. Then I just add a bit of mineral oil to continue melting the mascara and wipe all the mess with a bit of make up remover, using a tissue. This works perfectly and I almost never lose eyelashes. LOVE this stuff and would repurchase and recommend to the whole world.

Mascara -Catrice - Lashes To Kill Waterproof Volume
rated 3 of 5
cepauloar 6/30/2012 11:01:00 PM

My lashes are sparse, thin, have an average length and stick straight. I expect mascara to hold a curl and that's why I prefer the waterproof versions. This mascara held my curl perfectly, gave decent volume and length. It was also rather easy to take off at night, using mineral oil and waterproof eye make up remover, which is very important for me. I just didn't like that this mascara dried up so fast, like in three weeks. I can't comment on smudging. I would buy again if I'm on a budget but otherwise I'll stick to Maybelline mascaras.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Anti-Breakage Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
cepauloar 11/28/2011 6:52:00 PM

I bought a mini bottle of this shampoo, just to sample it. It definitely was very gentle with my hair and helped my hair recover from damage and moisture loss. I was extremely happy with it and I even though that I would buy the full bottle when I started noticing too, that I had some dandruff. What I did notice though is that it does not clean you hair/scalp deeply. So my hair was becoming oily quite fast. I had NEVER had this problem before, so I'm freaking out. I have been using it in combination with The Body Shop's Honey Shampoo for dry hair, the reformulated version (Rainforest something) which is Sulfate free, so I can not say what exactly caused me these problem. I would not recommend this product.
