OK so I don't loooove it but i don't hate it. I have a normal length of lashes but they are stick straight (no curl, no nothing). This mascara on it's own is not great but when i combine it with Maybelline Full & Soft WP I get the look I've always been wanting to achieve. Full, Soft, Fluffy, Thick, Lush lashes. How do I apply it? I first curl my lashes, apply a few coats of Full & Soft (the brush is perfect for grabbing every lash without clumping and without dropping my curl) and I do one swipe across the top of my lashes and I let that set for a minute. I then go back and do about 2-3 swipes of GrowLuscious (and then top one more coat of Full & Soft to waterproof it all and VOILA! Full, Soft, thick, curled luscious lashes! Full & Soft truly is my HG but adding this into the mix has made this part of my regimen and I can't live without it. HTH!
All I can say is that this works! It keeps my t-zone under control and doesn't dry the other areas of my face out. It doesn't cause any breakouts (which is amazing since mostly everything breaks me out). I highly recommend this for those who want something to help control the oilies. (price is a bit steep though)
Foundations -Vichy - Dermablend Corrective Foundation

What first got me to try this product: it's non-acnegenic! An actual foundation that states that is rare! hehe The coverage is full/heavy. I usually just use a small amount for my whole face or I'll mix it with a tiny bit of my moisturizer to get a lighter coverage. I have acne scarring and it covers anything and everything on my face that I don't want people to see. They have a very good color range and I always get compliments when I wear it. My 8 year-old niece told me the other day "Aunt Marcela. your skin looks smoooooooooooooth!" which is great to hear especially when she saw some of my cystic acne scarring on my cheek not that long ago and said "Aunt Marcela, why do you have like these 'holes' in your face?" I was like "thanks for noticing kid! now get out!" hehe j/k. but my feelings were a bit hurt because kids are sometimes too honest for their own good. lol So that compliment was really a great compliment. I highly recommend this foundation. :D
Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20 (2009 formulation)

Okay. I must admit that when they discontinued my Visibly Even Foundation I thought I would have to switch to another brand of foundation all together, but!, I decided to give this one a whirl. Thank goodness I did! I remember trying the old formula and not loving it completely...i think the old one made me break out...so i was a bit scared to try this new one but after I read the ingredients list it seemed okay. It has a medium coverage, really does help improve your skintone and lasts a long time! I can actually go through an 8 hour work day and I still feel that the coverage is almost as good as when I first applied it in the morning! The only other brand that does that for me is Vichy's Dermablend (which i like on a day that I want more coverage).
Mascara -NYX - Doll Eye - Water Proof - Extreme Black

Great mascara but it tends to be on the really dry side. I'm a waterproof mascara lover but this has got to be the driest one I've encountered yet.
Every time I wear this mascara I get compliments. People say my lashes look very long which is cool but I want the whole package. I want length, volume and curl. This does makes my lashes long but it doesn't hold a curl. I also noticed that it tends to dry out faster than other mascaras that I own. I'm on the fence if I like this or not. It DOES lengthen and if that's all you're looking for then I say it's worth a shot but if you're like me and end up having to apply volumizing, waterproof AND lengthening to get your desired look...then this is only going to be step 2 of the process. lol
Okay, I love AND hate this mascara. It gives my non-existent, straight and short lashes length and volume without being clumpy BUT it is nearly impossible to take off! I use Neutrogena eye makeup remover and that stuff will take anything off and I honestly have to use 2 cotton rounds per eye and spend about 5 minutes making sure I get it all off. Now...I love the way it looks on but i hate taking it off. lol (oh...and I tried the non-waterproof version as well but it didn't hold the curl at all...the waterproof version does...that's a plus also)
Treatments -Vichy - Aqualia Thermal Hydrating Concentrate

Oh. My. God. That's all I can say. This has made my skin turn around...I don't know what to say. (actually...i do...that's why i'm writing a review. hehe) My skin was always "dry". My undereye area was always a bit crepey and no matter how many creams I tried (even my HG Cetaphil moisturizing cream wasn't cutting it anymore) my skin was always "dry". Turns out...I did that hydrometer thing at CVS and I was Dehydrated! So I decided to try out the serum. So glad I did! It's texture is so light...doesn't make me look like an oil slick (for it completely absorbs into my skin) and has made my skin look and feel more supple and not dry! (or rather...hydrated!) lol The price is a bit steep...$26 for a 1.01 oz bottle but I would gladly repurchase this for my skin looks and feels so good! And so far...no breakouts!
I love this product. I had been eyeing it at my CVS for a while and the other day I was in the store and they were buy 1 get 1 half off. I figured oh what the heck! Although they are a bit on the tiny side they are very moisturizing. I love having color on my lips but i really hate the feel of long wearing lipsticks (too dry), moisturizing lipsticks (don't last long enough), lipgloss (sometimes they're too sticky or creamy and sometimes I just don't want my lips to look shiny and wet). So i figured colored lip balm is the best bet for me but they're hard to find colors that I like (burt's bees never look the same on as they do on the cap). So I found my match after trying this product! Only downside is I have a feeling I'm going to be going through these babies fast! hehe
Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear Pressed Powder
celodie 4/27/2008 1:24:00 AM
I have this product in Warm Beige. The brush that this powder comes with is only good for touch-ups but when I use it with my own kabuki brush it looks fantastic! It gives great coverage, a natural glow and I have gotten many compliments on it! yay! hehe I also love it because it hasn't broken me out yet. :D
Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Bronzer
celodie 4/27/2008 1:22:00 AM
What smell?! Maybe something is wrong with me but I don't smell anything terrible. I actually love this product. I own two bronzers so far and they have become a staple in my makeup bag. The colors look darker in the package but when applied they have a more natural hue. It doesn't look makeupy to me. They give me a sunkissed glow and I absolutely love them. The packaging is so cute too!
Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - organic wear translucent medium
celodie 4/27/2008 1:17:00 AM
I am falling in love with this product line more and more! I first tried the bronzers...LOVE. Then i decided i should try the pressed powder. I was a little nervous since everything makes me break out but since the packaging indicated that it is: 100% free of harsh chemicals, free of synthetic preservatives, free of parabens, free of synthetic colors and fragrances and last but not least...cruelty free...how could i not give it a chance? This particular product is great for touch ups and take the shinies away. Really gives me a natural finish and so far no breakouts! I am kind of hoping they come out with a liquid foundation too!
I LOVE THIS COLOR! it's a great YLBB sheer pink. Yes these live up to their name. They are shiny and they are sheer. it's got the texture of a lipstick but on it looks like a mix between a lipstick and a gloss. This color compliments my MMM/NC35 tone. I bought 4 just in case they decide to discontinue this product. I highly recommend!
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Line Intensifique - Carbon Black
celodie 1/24/2007 6:12:00 PM
I have to admit I am a huge fan of the L'Oreal Line Intensifique liquid eyeliners so I had no second thoughts when I purchased this in a new color 'carbon black'. I thought how black could this really be? I mean, their black mica is black and it's also my HG so really...how black could this be?! Honestly...it's the perfect black for me. It's a bold, matte, very rich black. I absolutely love it! It doesn't smudge, doesn't smear, doesn't fade just like the other line intensifiques. I hope they make this color permanent, it's beating out black mica for me! eek!
Lip Gloss -Physicians Formula - Plump Potion - Pink Potion
celodie 1/24/2007 6:06:00 PM
I bought this on a whim. It was a very pretty pink color in the tube, the packaging of the gloss is extremely cute and i had a $2 off coupon so what the heck. I got it. Now, the color is very pretty.... but that's about it. The smell is a bit off putting, there is no plumping effect whatsoever and it feels a bit tacky. oh well. i'm not saying i hate it but i wouldn't buy it again.
