Treatments -Kerastase - Kerastase Reflection Chroma Reflect Rich Radiance-Enhancing Masque

This was very expensive and did nothing for my hair. I've heard so many raves about Kerastase that I was very disappointed with the results of this product. I finished off the whole thing and never saw a difference. Not softer, not shinier, nothing. The only reason I gave it a two instead of a one is because it didn't worsen my hair's condition.

I didn't like think I was going to like this one when I was smelling it inside of the sample vial, but I changed my mind almost the instant it hit my skin. What a great fragrance! The other reviewers do a great job describing the scent and spices involved. It's definitely worth at least trying a sample.

Hair Color -Amphigory - Special Effects in Fish bowl

My hair and Special Effects just don't have good chemistry. This color fades way too fast for me. It's beautiful though, when it's fresh, but I wasn't fond of the color it faded to. It's also expensive if you buy it from Hot Topic, but decently priced online. I don't like the bottles either. I always have to slice them open to get out about the last 1/4 of the dye. I used Special Effects for at least a year, then I discovered Punky Colours and have jumped ship.

I've used Plum, Turquoise, Midnight Blue, Atlantic Blue, Lagoon Blue and Blue Black. I've found that the blues fade, but the purple has decided that it's my hair's soulmate and it refuses to leave. I'm not sure if I'm happy about that or not. It's been 2 1/2 months since I last colored and there is barely a dent in the Plum, but the Turquoise is looking pretty blah (pics in profile). I usually touch that up every 2-3 weeks, but I haven't since I'm trying to fade it out. I miss the tube packaging instead of the little jars. Other than that, you can buy the stuff online cheaply enough, mix the colors, and it lasts forever. I really don't think I could ask much more of my hair color.

Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Acqua di Gio (for women)

The only complaint I have about this is that it doesn't last long enough. The scent is wonderful -- it's light and a little playful. I'll definitely always have a bottle of this around!

Styling Products -FHI - FHI Heat Hot Sauce

I might try this again if they'd get rid of the silicone. I tried using this on my bangs, which are more beat up than the rest of my hair. I didn't see any difference. I also don't like the bottle because a ton more than I want always comes out. I really wanted to like this product. I still have to finish off the bottle, so I may update if I start to see some improvement.

Love this stuff! I have fine hair and my ends never want to stay down. This tames them and makes my hair soft and shiny. I always put it in wet hair and use a little near my roots as well where I usually have some flyaways sticking up. It's fantastic!

Treatments -Giovanni - Direct Leave in Conditioner

I've only used this a few times with the 50/50 shampoo and conditioner. So far, so good. I have a bad habit of accidentally using too much leave-in which leaves me with greasy or sometimes sticky hair. I haven't been able to feel this stuff in my hair at all after it's dried. My ends are very dry and I'm not sure how much it's helped with that yet. It certainly doesn't seem to have worsened the situation, but I will update if it does.

Conditioner -Giovanni - 50/50 Balanced Remoisturizer

I wasn't sure about this one at first, but after a few washes, I really, really like it. It makes it so easy to slide my fingers through my hair while it's wet, which usually isn't something I try to do after shampooing when it feels dry and matted. My hair feels much cleaner and softer after just a few washes (previously using products with silicones). The only thing I don't like is the bottle. I think it's going to be a pain to get the conditioner out when it gets low or possibly even half full.

Hair -Giovanni - 50/50 Balanced Shampoo

I thought I'd try avoiding silicones for awhile and decided to try this after reading good reviews here. I wasn't happy with it after the first two washes, but after the third I've realized my hair feels much more clean and light. Now I just have to adjust my styling products because I have fine hair that wants to go all over the place without the gunk weighing it down. I also had trouble getting it to lather the first time. I normally just wet my hair and shampoo, so I tried going through the lathering motions while wetting it to get my hair more thoroughly wet and that did the trick. I'm not thrilled with the bottle though and suspect I'm going to have a difficult time with it when it gets low.

Fragrances -Molinard - 1849 - Nirmala EdP
rated 5 of 5

I absolutely LOVE this scent, and I think that it does smell a bit better than the EDT you can pick up for around $20-30. It's expensive at around $180 a bottle, but I was lucky enough to find samples at The Perfume Bay for $2.50 before spending that kind of money. I'm glad I tried it! This is definitely my favorite. My roommate has smelled all of my perfume and until I bought Nirmala he never liked anything better than Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle.
