The only mascara I can wear (everything else gives me raccoon eyes). Cannot be without.
HG!!! I sure hope that this protects as well as it looks. I've tried everything...Everything, and this gives the most beautiful finish. It has a very slightly pale cast (but nothing extreme) and has a nice, water tight finish. LOVE! It beats lrp for me, bioderma, and all the department store brands. LIke I said, I just hope the protection is comparable beacuse it;s dreamy. I'm afraid that I am editing! :(. It seemed so great at first - smoothe and flattering (and I actually still get compliments....but only when people are at a distance). But I do start to notice the InCredibly strong alcohols smell and it is sooo drying. I can't tell if silicone products ball under it or if it's just so drying that my skin is flaking off :(. Will not reorder, but enjoyed the brief flirtation :(
Wow! I have tried to go blonde (from light brown) countless times - and always gotten a really ugly brass color. This didn't quite get me to the color on the box (but close!). And very, very little brass! I am utterly floored! No more days in the salon for me - no more $100 hair color. I am so grateful that someone finally figured this out! I should add that I am shocked that my hair doesn't feel like straw! (it always has in the last when I went blonde). So excited! Please never discontinue! I'm using tigi health goddess to maintain.
Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios XL SPF 60 Fluide Extreme

BEST EVER! If you google this stuff, inumerable studies show that mexoryl (and the european variety in particualar) protects FAR better than anything in the US. BUT, make sure you get it in Europe -- Amazon and Canadian Amazon (sells Canadian Anthelios) is NOT NEARLY AS GOOD. There is a guy on Ebay who sells it from spain for a really reasonable price (I think $40 for 2 tubes). Also, it IS very shiny and white. I wore it to my brother's wedding..and will regret it forever, I look a little goofy in the photos. But for every day, nothing will protect your skin like this stuff. Nothing. This is the best single thing that you can do for your skin.
I am a fan of this one...though I do understand the complaints. It definitely is "dewier" -- though I am dry, so I appreciate that. But, honnestly ladies, considering what you get in this sunscreen (zinc (this is critical. The other oxi...ate and avbenzone etc) irritate your skin over the long haul), antioxidants, and day-long moisturising)....the benifits far outweight the minor annoyances (pilling (can be brushed off) and dewiness. This is my winter standby -- in summer I switch to Anthelios 60.
Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

A decent mascara. Not at all worth the price though. need to add hot water to tube periodcially as it dries out and gets smelly. My biggest complait -- and this is probably just me (I don't wear and makeup or powder), but I get serious racoon eyes.
Skincare - Face -Isomers - One 3000 Cream with Liquid Crystal
cecilian 12/6/2008 3:32:00 PM
Isomers is THE BEST! Kind of no frills and definitely on the expensive side. But nothing keeps my skin so moisturised, even-toned, and youthful looking. This is the ONLY (and, trust me, I've tried them all) night cream where my skin still feels moisturised in the morning. Also, this cream has so many added benefits -- the marixyl, argireline, etc. Everytime I try another line I regret it! Thank you, Mauela for your perfectionism, attention to detail, and for always being on the cutting edge!
Hair -Philosophy - Shear Splendor Restorative Hair Marinade

I was seduced by the pitch on QVC but, like many reviewers, found that this product really dosen't do much at all. I use about 1/5 of the bottle, leave it in for 5-6 hrs and really don't get much of a result -- if any. I had no problem washing it out though. For ref, my hair is med blonde and slightly damaged. Will continue the search -- am trying aphogee soon and will keep you all posted!
I am a big fan of this product. Quite simply: it does what it says it does (if you follow the very clear directions). I am fair and 30 and have always had brutally short, stubby lashes. I have been using this for 3 months and I now have quite long lashes. Friends and colleagues have been complimenting me on my eye makeup (I don't wear any)! It hasn't made a tremendous difference in the thickness of the lashes -- but I don't believe that is their claim. My only hesitation is the price....but $300/year (little over a dollar a day) seems reasonable to me for a near-miraculous alteration! I am thinking about trying Talika just to compare...will keep y'all posted. PLEASE VOTE OBAMA AND SAVE OUR COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
