Shampoo -ENJOY - Luxury Shampoo
cchottie55 4/9/2013 5:55:00 PM
This is my all-time favorite shampoo. I don't know why I do it, but I always get caught up in the latest marketing gimmick and end up buying a sub-par product. However, I always come back to this shampoo and conditioner. I have color-treated hair, and this shampoo and conditioner smells great, and I have some of the best hair days of my life when I use it. My ONLY gripe is that it's a very heavy shampoo and conditioner, so when my roots grow in they tend to get a little oily on the second day. Yea, it's expensive - but to me, a little goes a long way, and it's worth having great hair that smells fantastic yet not overpowering.

Hair -Wen by Chaz Dean - Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner
cchottie55 6/25/2012 10:34:00 AM
The product was okay, though it got to be a little heavy even for my thick hair in the summertime. I still needed to use a shampoo to really get my hair clean, toward the end of my use of this product. My problem lies within the customer service team at Wen. I ordered it directly through them, and it seems they have idiots there. Honestly, I've never felt more scammed by anything in my life. I decided to cancel as it was too expensive for what I was receiving - a heavy conditioner with barely any cleansing qualities. Each package (after the initial $30 introductory price) totaled at $90 - a price they never told me until later on. I canceled and was told that I had a balance of $30 on my account, which was coming out of my check card at the time, so I should be okay. The following month, however, I saw that they deducted an additional $30. After calling customer "care", they tried to tell me that I still owed for a kit I received 3 months prior - but I was told that my account was reconciled. All this woman kept saying was apologizing for my "misinformation", and that they are correct in billing me AGAIN. I told her I haven't received any additional kits so I didn't understand why, if another person at customer "care" said my account was reconciled, I was being charged again. She said she could send me an affidavit saying that I never received a kit, but that's the best she could do. If you want to try this, at LEAST go through QVC. I've never had a problem with QVC - come to think of it, I've never had an issue like this with any mail order company. Just save yourself a headache - don't go through WEN.

Cleansers -Cle de Peau - Gentle Cleansing Foam
cchottie55 11/25/2008 12:50:00 PM
I love this cleanser. I have dry, sensitive skin, and usually when I dare try something different, I pay for it. At first I used WAY too much (just a little bit will cover your face AND neck), but it was soft, cushiony, and luxurious. Typically foam cleansers dry out my skin, but it did just the opposite - my face didn't even feel tight after using it. If I could afford it, I'd buy it again - hands down one of the best cleansers I've ever used.

Shampoo -Sebastian - Evokativ Moist Shampoo
cchottie55 10/5/2006 10:17:00 AM
This stuff is VERY highly concentrated. A quarter size dollop has been a bit too much on my thick hair. It smells soo good, like a citrus-fruity smell but it's light and not suffocating (like Herbal Essences). It leaves my hair clean and ready for conditioner. Good stuff.

Lip Treatments -Too Faced - Lip Injection

I didn't actually BUY this product, I only tried it on at Sephora. Am I glad I didn't buy this!!! It left my lips red, but it also broke my face out in a rash around my lips and up to my nose. It was sooo embarrassing. I had to try on some DDF redness-soothing stuff and then I put Makeup Forever concealor over it to get the redness to be unnoticeable. If you're going to try this, try it on the back of your hand first to make sure this doesn't happen to you.

Bronzers -Philosophy - The Big Skinny
cchottie55 8/16/2006 11:06:00 AM
I must be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure. The directions say that you're supposed to wait 5-10 minutes before putting on clothing. I waited 20, and it's still rubbing off on my clothes. It does leave a beautiful golden gleam on the skin, an exact match to my natural tan. Maybe someone can give me a useful tip for not letting this stuff get on my clothes? Other than that, I like this product.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eyeliner Gel Graphic Brown [DISCONTINUED]

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LINER! I was out during a heatwave, sweating my face off for 6 hours and this STAYED PUT. I couldn't believe it. Okay, maybe there was a little smudginess on my eyelids, but really a great product when applied with the MAC 266 brush.

Palettes -Smashbox - Smokebox Palette
cchottie55 4/27/2006 2:52:00 PM
When I first got this product, I didn't know what to make of it. The packaging is nice but the part that keeps it closed broke for some reason (and trust me, I take good care of my cosmetics). It took me a few tries to make the smokey effect look good, but after that, it's come to be one of my favorite palettes. I would experiment on yourself a few times before going out with this on, but after I got the hang of it I receive a lot of compliments when I go out!

Gels/Soaps -Olay - Winter Retreat Body Wash in Vanilla Essence for Extra Dry Skin
cchottie55 1/12/2006 10:32:00 AM
FREAKIN. LOVE. THIS. I'm a little pissed off that it's limited edition, because my skin is super dry. After using this, the Olay Moisturinse In-Shower Lotion, and Curel for extra dry skin (hey, I told you I have dry skin!!!) I am ready to face the harshly cold New York winters. I should start a petition to keep this stuff on the market year-round...

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Stage Lights

The Spring 2006 collection is out, and I got this quad on a whim. I LOVE IT! I play around with makeup colors a lot, and these colors make my dark brown eyes pop. I used them on my sister, who has hazel eyes, and it looks gorgeous. If you have green eyes you should definitely check this product out! The colors blend beautifully together, the silky soft texture stays put for hours. $55.

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color
cchottie55 1/12/2006 10:11:00 AM
I'm not sure how it would look on people with pink skintones, but this sure is a great color on my yellow/gold skintone. I really like this, I don't use blush when I have it on, and all you need is just a LITTLE bit and build the color to your liking. I got this in the starter kit, with fairly light/light and the mineral veil, as well as 3 brushes, the face wash, and the dvd. This doesn't look like a bronzer if you don't put on way too much.

love, love, LOVE this product! it's perfect when you have that winter white skin but want a touch of color. using any other bronzer makes me look fake, but the pinks and soft brown and white give me the perfect color.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere
cchottie55 8/4/2005 1:01:00 PM
I heart this foundation! I got a Chanel fall 2005 makeover and the salesgirl said that this foundation was perfect for me, since my skin was already great (thanks to Denise of Dream Products) and it would just enhance it. This is a pretty big splurge, but I think it's worth every cent. It stays on all day and doesn't cake. Even more people call my skin flawless now. Probably not good for people with large pores.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo
cchottie55 8/3/2005 2:25:00 PM
Well, this is really expensive. I hate that it doesn't lather as well as, say, Pureology. It smells okay, though. It didn't leave an overdried feeling on my hair when I rinsed, and it rinsed out wonderfully. I really like it, but seriously, I've seen a lot of bad reviews about Ojon. You should really try a sample for yourself before taking anyone's word for it, because remember, no shampoo is really for EVERYONE.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Ojon Ultra Hydrating Conditioner
cchottie55 7/27/2005 10:18:00 AM
Ojon is amazing! My hair is bone dry from years of coloring and styling. I ordered the 4 piece starter kit from QVC, and on the first day this stuff really worked. I don't really care for the smell, but my solution to that is just putting some Wella Biotouch conditioner through my hair and it smells much better. A little bit of conditioner goes a long way, and it left my hair silky smotth. The shampoo smelled better than the conditioner in my opinion. I plan on using Ojon in years to come.
