I like this dry shampoo! This is the first dry shampoo I've tried so I really don't have anything to compare it to, but it does a pretty good job. My only grievance is the scent. It's very overpowering and makes me use it sparingly. Also I've noticed that if I use too much all over, my hair has a dry feel to it and feels over processed. I noticed this when I used it prior to styling, however when I used it after styling and only on my roots it wasn't an issue. Definitely worth a try!
I've been using this shade for as long as I can remember for my everyday look and I love it. It lasts so long and it looks so pretty on my skin and highlights my blue eyes well. I use a primer underneath so I don't have an issue with creasing or fallout. I haven't tried other dupes for this and I don't think I ever will, Mink is my go to for everyday.
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara
cblazer973 4/9/2013 9:25:00 PM
This has to be one of my favorite mascara's. I've picked it up countless times when shopping for makeup and it always seems to do the job. I apply at least two different mascara's when doing my makeup and this is usually my last because its waterproof and I want staying power and little more volume and length. This is perfect to finish off with because it gives my lashes that last bit of oomph I'm looking for!
I picked up this product at WalMart the other day when looking for a cheap cleanser to clean off my makeup prior to using my acne face wash. I was intrigued because it claims it has no soap in it which I liked because I'd rather not use soap on my face because it is so drying. I have found that this product claims to lather, but not anywhere near a foaming face wash. I'm curious as to how much it would lather if I used it on my Clarisonic. Ultimately, it does what it is supposed to and it smells quite pleasant, therefore for the price and what I'm looking for, I'd definitely purchase it again.
I love this primer. It's my go to before I put anything on my face as far as makeup goes. I just repurchased after finally finishing a bottle. I have the oil free version because I have an issue with my face getting oily as the day goes on. It still has SPF 15 which I love because I know my face is protected. Also I love how my face feels as I put it on, it's so velvety and smooth. When I went to repurchased I tossed around the idea of getting the hydrating version (it's blue) or the illuminating one, however I was afraid the hydrating version would make my skin too oily and I was afraid I would be a disco ball with the illuminating one. Definitely something you should pick up if you like Smashbox's primer because it's pretty darn close and it's cheaper.
Primer/ Corrector -Almay - Smart Shade Perfect & Correct Primer
cblazer973 4/8/2013 3:32:00 PM
I thought this was a cool primer when I first saw the commercial late last year. I had really no experience with primers and at that point I needed something with some correction and priming to keep my makeup looking good all day long. I purchased and then mysteriously lost it. When I finally found it I was ecstatic however I should have saved that happiness for something else. Packaging is really what sold me because of its unique look and its convenient pump. However, the product does nothing as far as correction, it peels off as I apply foundation, and it makes my skin shinier as the day goes on. I love Almay's smart shade products, but this is a fail.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Whisper in Cherry on Top
cblazer973 4/5/2013 9:47:00 PM
This was one of the first color whisper's I bought. I wanted to try a red, but nothing that was too bold and over whelming. I love that this is buildable and I can wear it lightly or go for the bold look if that's what I choose. I also love that this isn't a drying lip color. I wanted to get more into lipsticks and get away from lip glosses and such and this is the perfect way because it's somewhat glossy, but doesn't look like I'm a tween who has no clue what she's doing.
I love this color. I had a coupon for CVS for $3 off a L'Oreal nail polish and since I almost never use my coupons and had never tried a L'Oreal nail polish before, I picked up this one to give it a try. The formula was good, not too think or thin and the brush was good, not like those wide ones that everyone seems to love. In the bottle, the color looks a little peachy. However, on the color is as orange as they come. It's creamy and becomes opaque in 2 coats but I applied three to get the color I wanted. I've had this color on for a week and it has stayed flawless. I love this, and recommend it to all my friends and family. It's perfect to welcome spring with. :)
I'm sort of middle of the road when it comes to this product. I have a ix of shampoos and conditioners I use over the coarse of the year. Tresemme clarifying for after pool time at work, Pantene deep conditioning for each week, Head and Shoulders for the winter time, and Dove conditioner all year long. As you can see I have something for everything. Recently I saw that I had a build up of some sticky, greasy residue on the crown of my head. I wasn't doing anything differently, but somewhere this stickiness appeared. After some research, I picked up this Neutrogena shampoo since my clarifying one was at home and I'm at school. I liked how easily it cleaned out all the gunk in my hair and make it softer and almost bouncier. However, sometimes I feel like my hair is extra dry and brittle. Considering I wash my hair 3 times a week tops and I condition it like crazy, I think the shampoo does exactly what it says. I think this shampoo is good for people who don't color their hair and need some build up removal.
I love this foundation. I have tried creams, liquids, BB creams, and powders. My go to for a while was L'Oreal True Match but I noticed it has been emphasizing my dry spots. I picked this up at CVS where it was around $7 (Walmart was $5 almost $6). For that price, I'm totally willing to buy it even if it is sub par. I like the coverage of this foundation and for buying it without trying it on my skin first, its a good match. The only grievance I have, like many others, is the packaging. I usually use a sponge even though I own a foundation brush but with this I'm forced to use the brush and I actually have an easier time applying the foundation with the brush and it gives me a good finish. I like how this foundation makes my skin look and I'm excited to purchase a summer shade for when my skin gets tanner.
Mascara -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Definition mascara
cblazer973 1/25/2013 3:50:00 AM
This would not be the first mascara I would grab for when shopping for a new tube. However I received this at Sephora for free as a sample size, and I am really impressed. I love the ward and how I can get all my lashes easily. By itself, the mascara looks great and gives me a natural look that I love. With my other mascaras layered, I love that it separates and coats each lash perfectly allowing me to layer on others to get more volume and that think lash look I love as well. I would definitely purchase a full size of this mascara, it's worth it.
I am always looking for new mascaras to try and when my mom bought home an extra tube of this, I jumped at the opportunity to try it. I have always flopped between Maybelline and CoverGirl when it came to mascaras because I'm always looking for something to make my lashes a little longer and a littler fuller. I like the formula of this mascara and the brush, to an extent. The brush is nice, and the bristles do a really good job of separating my lashes. However, the end of the brush is blunt and always seems to pull out way too much product and occasionally when I am getting the tiny lashes near my nose, I will bump my skin and have black mascara all over my nose. With that said, I like this mascara and would but it for myself again.
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Colossal Cat Eyes
cblazer973 1/25/2013 3:36:00 AM
The tube of this mascara is most likely what caused me to toss this horrible mascara in the basket. I am a sucker for anything animal print. With that said, I am a Maybelline mascara sucker and love to try anything new they come out with. I love the falsies line they have, and the megaplush mascara. This formula and brush just did not do it for me. the formula was too watery, the brush was standard and mediocre, and my lashes looked bland. I mainly use this on top of my other mascaras to use it up so I can move onto something new.
I had been looking for a product to lighten my acne scars since I have a horrible habit of popping and picking at my face. I did not want to spend a ton of money on a product so this seemed worth it considering its around 20 bucks. I figured if it did not work as it said, it wasn't like i shelled out 50 bucks for a product to just sit in a drawer. After a week, I can say that I noticed my complexion is brighter and not as dull as it used to be. However, I use a benzoyl peroxide lotion in combination with face wash and toner at night to keep my acne at bay and I noticed that when I layer the lotion and then the dark spot corrector, my face looks as though I slathered self tanner all over my face. It's a little disturbing to see when you first wake up, but it washes off (thankfully). I haven't noticed a significant decrease in color of my spots, just a slight decrease in how noticeable they are. I would purchase this product again, for the price mainly, but I am looking to try other products as well.
I received the Mia 2 as a Christmas gift and I can honestly say it has been the best thing for my skin. I typically use it in the morning to wash off the retinol and exfoliate my skin so that my makeup applies nicer. I am currently using the sensitive skin brush head however, I will be trying the deep pore cleaning brush head as well. I love that I can use it in the shower and at the sink and that it really takes just a minute to get my face so much cleaner. My face has never looked better thanks to my clarisonic.
