Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
catwoman1275 4/13/2013 1:50:00 PM
I love this foundation. Probably the best long wearing drugstore foundation I've ever used. Recently I discovered Cover Girl Outlast 3-in-1 but I like this one better. It is more transfer resistant. Gives great, natural looking coverage.

Fragrances -Burberry - Brit Sheer

I never really cared for any of Burberry womens' fragrances, but I really like this one. I like sweet fruity florals, and this one fits the bill. I just wish a lotion, shower gel and powder were available.

Liquid -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
catwoman1275 3/19/2013 11:00:00 PM
Not a bad foundation for being from a drugstore. The shade Ivory has always worked well for be but I could never find a Cover Girl formula that I liked. So far, I like it. It has lasted just as long as most other long wearing foundations. Hopefully it was last long in the warm weather; I'll have to wait until summertime.

Powder -Lancome - Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup
catwoman1275 3/13/2012 10:50:00 PM
This foundation powder gives great coverage with a nice smooth finish, but my biggest complaint is that it does not control shine for very long. I love this in the summertime as it gives great coverage but is lightweight. I apply it wet in the morning but I have to keep touching it up with the dry puff frequently. I've found that oil blotting papers work great hence I don't use too much of this product, because when applied wet it doesn't last as long.

Mascara -Shiseido - Nourishing Mascara Base
catwoman1275 3/13/2012 10:43:00 PM
This is miraculous at holding curl. I have always had a problem with mascaras not holding curl. I have heard that Asians swear by this as they have stick straight lashes. I'm Caucasian with long lashes, but they're fine and straight. Most (if not all) waterproof mascaras hold curl, but they're too drying for everyday use, my lashes break and it's difficult to remove it, even with an oil based eye makeup remover. Now if I use this primer I can use almost any mascara and the curl will hold. My all time favorite is Max Factor 2000 Calorie, but it's no longer available in the US so now I use MAC Plushlash. Shiseido, please don't ever discontinue this!!!

Brows -Mary Kay - Brow Pencil - Blonde

I have used this eyebrow pencil for years I have tried other pencils and powders, but I always go back to this one. The color (Classic Blonde) is natural looking, it goes on smoothly and it lasts.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Lots of Lashes
catwoman1275 1/2/2012 1:06:00 AM
This is the best of Great Lash so far. I've tried to like the original Great Lash, but it just clumps too much and doesn't hold curl. The different brush to this particular type of Great Lash makes all the difference in the world. However, I am taking away one lippie because I wish it were long enough to cover my entire lashline. I have to start from one corner of an eye, dip the wand into the tube again, then finish the other corner, which is a little bit of a pain. This mascara doesn't clump, flake or smudge, and it lasts.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
catwoman1275 12/28/2010 9:25:00 PM
I am so glad Clinique changed some of their 3 step products. For one, I am happy that there is now an oil free moisturizer like this one. I hated the DDM lotion as it contains oil. My skin type is a 3, but a type 4 during the summer, and once my skin is cleansed and toned, what's the point of using the lotion (with oil) that I just washed away? I'm also so happy about the liquid facial soap being launched. So much cleaner and more sanitary.

Toners -Clinique - Clarifying Lotion #4
catwoman1275 12/28/2010 3:01:00 PM
This toner really sweeps up oil in the summertime. I otherwise use #3 during all other seasons. While I still get an occasional breakout, nothing controls oil better than this. And I learned that using a cotton square or round works better than a cotton ball. I only gave it a 2 for the packaging because it can spill. I wish it came with a pump, which the #3 occasionally does.

Cleansers -Clinique - Liquid Facial Soap - Oily skin
catwoman1275 12/28/2010 2:55:00 PM
I fell in love with Clinique's 3 step all over again. I don't really care for their makeup becasue the shades don't work for me, but I'm glad I tried this again. It really cuts through the oil and the Clarifying lotion sweeps away what little oil the soap may have missed. And it does control oil very well. Part of the reason I stopped liking Clinique was because before the liquid soap was launched, I hated the bar soap because it became gummy and caked up on the dish.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Volume Waterproof
catwoman1275 12/28/2010 2:42:00 PM
I've never really cared for much of Cover Girl's products, but when I saw the mascara brush in the package outside of the tube, it looked like it probably wouldn't clump. And it doesn't. But the tube looks ugly and is orange, one of my least favorite colors. My lashes are fine, straight, somewhat long and somewhat light colored, and I like thick, black dramatic lashes. Most importantly, it holds curl, which most mascaras do not do for me. It can withstand humidity and moisture without running, smudging or flaking. It's a win win win situation!

Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - Clean
catwoman1275 6/21/2009 5:31:00 PM
I recently rediscovered this powder and fell in love with it all over again. This was the first and only powder I ever used as a teen. I love the Noxzema scent. I first discovered this when I was 12 and my then-best friend's older sister used it and I had to have it. As I got older and could afford department store makeup, I pitched this. But recently I forgot my MAC Blot Powder and needed a powder, and I was,'t near a mall. So I bought this at a drug store as this was the only powder I was familiar with. So, I will continue to use this powder because it is so cheap, there are CG coupons out there and it is often on sale buy one get one half off, something that department stores never have.

Blush -Cover Girl - Cheekers in Snow Plum
catwoman1275 6/21/2009 5:19:00 PM
This was the first blush I ever tried when I first started experimenting with makeup at age 12, and I wore it until I was about 16 or 17. It's a nice light color especially for somebody young. I don't understand how CG came up with the name Snow Plum because it's not a plum shade, it's a very pale pink shimmer. I don't mind the packaging or the size because I just started using this as a highlighter and I know it will last a long time. But I can see where others might have a problem with the thin strip if it were used as an all over blush. The brush is very poor quality, the bristles are so stiff and uneven that it picks up a lot of product but the brush won't hold it, so a lot of product is wasted. So I use a MAC mini blush brush instead. Many people don't care for the scent, but I personally love the Noxzema smell.

Cleansers -Noxzema - Original Skin Cream
catwoman1275 6/8/2009 3:43:00 AM
I always eventually return to using good old fashioned Noxzema. I first used this 20 years ago at age 13, until I was about 19 and could afford the more expensive skincare products. Over the past few years I have used high end skincare products and my skin still didn't look all that great. Most overdried my skin and irritated my face, leaving fine red dots on my face, especially my cheeks and chin. Just last week I was cleaning out the bathroom cabinet and came across a jar of this. I absolutely LOVE the smell (although I know some can't stand it) and it feels refreshing. Some ingredient in this product seemed to soothe and smooth the red dots; they're barely visible now. My only complaint is that this doesn't rinse off well and cannot be removed without the aid of a washcloth, otherwise, it leaves a residue. I prefer the jar over the pump because the cream in the pump seems runny. I hope this is never discontinued, and I doubt it will at least in my lifetime. By the way, I'm also a nurse, and I saw a jar at the bedside of a 77 year old female patient. She had probably the best skin I have ever seen on a person in that age group, and she said that is the only cleanser she has EVER used since she was a young adult.

Blush -MAC - Harmony
catwoman1275 11/18/2008 9:55:00 PM
I can only use this shade as a contour on my NC15 skin, and still, I have to be very careful applying it because it is HIGHLY pigmented. I like to use this along with Tenderling. I would buy this product again (unless I found another countour I like better) but I probably won't have to for a VERY long time.
