Top/Base Coats -Unlisted Brand - INM - Out the Door Top Coat

This stuff is amazing. It may not necessarily dry up your nail polish "in seconds" as it claims on the bottle, but definitely speeds up the drying process a lot faster. I would say it fully dries within 5 minutes. It leaves a glossy and smooth finish. It's cheaper than Seche Vite, readily available at most drugstores. Brush is nice and wide and makes application very easy. The consistency of this top coat is not too thick. I'm so glad that I tried it out because now I can actually use nail polishes that have nice colors but poor consistency, poor pigmentation, and long drying time. I won't have to ever worry about ruining my nail polish again because I'm always too inpatient to wait for the nail polish to dry up fully.

Fragrances -Kenzo - Flower
cattykitty 12/30/2009
Like a lot of previous reviewers said, this scent is a little powdery and can sometimes smell like baby powder. But I really enjoy put on this scent on myself. It makes me feel feminine and fuzzy. I have very sensitive nose, and this is one of the few scents which I could actually withstand from right after I spray it on till the very end notes. In my opinion, this scent is more of a "self" scent than a scent that's meant for others to smell. Thus, I think it's appropriate for all seasons and occasions. I even spray it on at night before I go to bed to help me to dream about nice things. I would definitely purchase a big bottle of this again when I finish my current bottle, not to mention the big bottle would even serve as a nice decor for your room.

Fragrances -Anna Sui - Secret Wish

I first smelled this perfume on my friend's friend. It smelled so wonderful and different from most other sweet fruit perfumes. By the end of the night, I just had to know the name of the perfume she was wearing. (She tried to lie about it by saying that it's Tommy Girl..... no way, try again, lady. haha.... ). It is a really summery and fresh scent. I don't really smell the notes described in the perfume. To me, it smells almost like freshly picked apricot. Citrusy, fresh, and a little bit fruity. I love how it makes me feel so much more girly. Also, the packaging is just so pretty with the blue juice inside. Can't beat the price either. It sorted of reminded me of Light Blue, initially. But they are completely different scent. My only complaint is that it has no initial, middle, or end notes, because it's the same fragrance throughout. There's not much depth or variation to this perfume. Also, the lasting power is fairly poor. The scent stays strong for at most 2 hours, then fades out and can be only smelled if you hold your wrist next to your nose.

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Pure Poison
cattykitty 12/29/2009 11:41:00 PM
I first smelled this fragrance in a magazine a number of years ago. I really liked it, but didn't want to purchase it right away. For the next two years, whenever I walk by the perfume counters, I would spray this on my wrist. I would fall in love again every single time. Then finally my mother bought it for me as a birthday gift. It has been my favorite scent ever since. That being said, this perfume is a bit strong for my taste, especially the initial notes. Sometimes, I would sneeze many times within the first 30 minutes after I spray it on, even if it's only one tiny spray. It's more of a night time and/or winter scent. One of my classmates had this perfume and would wear it to class, she smelled so horrible that she seemed like a walking bottle of Pure Poison (I'm pretty sure she sprayed many times all over herself). The end notes are feminine, soft, musky and a bit powdery, which I absolutely love. It lasts quite a long time too. Sometimes, I spray some on my sweaters, and the end notes last days. This is a perfume I would always go back to, but I probably won't purchase it again because even my 1.7 oz is going to last me forever.

Lip Treatments -NYX - Tinted Lip Spa
cattykitty 3/2/2009 2:12:00 PM
LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. It's a lip balm, lipstick, and lip gloss combined. It's a lip balm because it's very moisturizing, long-lasting, and has very slight minty feel on the lips. It's a lipstick because it's quite pigmented and smooth. It can instantly brighten up the color of my lips without looking too fake. It's a lip gloss because it gives your lips that natural glow without that sticky feeling. This lip product is my go-to lippie when I'm on the go. I have five different shades, and still look forward to collecting more. =)

Polishes -Sinful - Whats Your Name
cattykitty 3/2/2009 2:06:00 PM
I got this at Walgreens on a bogo sale. Definitely inexpensive for the wide color selection. This nail polish color is not a flat black color. If you look carefully under the light, there are teal/purple sparkles. However, on the nails, you don't really see these sparkles unless you look very closely and at a certain angle. Also, the finish is neither shiny or matte. It's a "muddy" finish that just leaves your nails looking dull and plain. For the price, it's definitely great to play with. But I would not buy again.

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Sandy Gold
cattykitty 3/2/2009 1:56:00 PM
I usually wear this cream shadow alone, and it adds a subtle golden shimmer to my lids and brightens my eyes. There's not much pigmentation, and it's definitely ideal for everyday neutral look. The consistency is a little dry, so you need to blend it quickly before it dries on your lid (your finger would be the best tool to do so). I have quite oily lids, and I do not notice much creasing on me. It looks like a small jar and a tiny amount of product, but it does last a long time.

Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - 3-Step System
cattykitty 2/25/2009 9:54:00 PM
I've tried two sets of the 3-step system. It simply did not work for me. It didn't diminish the existing breakouts and didn't prevent future breakouts. It made my skin dry, flaky, irritated and itchy. It feels like it wasn't ridding the root of the problem, but was simply trying to suppress the existing acnes. I have friends who claimed that proactiv worked for them, but I guess I might be the unlucky one. But I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Highlighters -NARS - Highlighting Blush Powder in Albatross
cattykitty 2/25/2009 9:44:00 PM
Albatross is a highlighter with very subtle golden shimmer. The powder is extremely fine and pigmented. It may seem like very tiny amount of product, but it's packed very densely. I've had it for few months and I've barely broke the surface. I have medium olive skin, and it just gives my skin a very natural glow. It takes no skill to apply, (I'm usually afraid of working with shimmery products). I would expect this highlighter to flatter most skin tones. Definitely would recommend this to someone who wants some healthy glow to their face.

BB Cream -Skinfood - Gingko Green BB Cream
cattykitty 1/12/2009 11:15:00 PM
I have this bb cream in shade #2. My skin is NC30, and I would say this shade is probably a better match for NC25. But it brightens up my skintone instead of giving me a pale white cast, so no biggie. The cream blends easily and a tiny pea-sized dot covers my entire face. It's light and almost has no scent. The coverage is about medium and it evens out my skin tone and conceal my redness and dark circle quite well. I would say the formula of this bb cream is best for dry/normal skin. I have oily/combinational skin, so my T-zone becomes oily in the mid-day. If you have oily skin like me, you might need to blot a bit more than usual. Also, this bb cream has no spf, so definitely pair it w/ a sunblock lotion, which I don't mind at all. Now finally to the skincare aspect of this bb cream, I do notice a subtle difference in my pore size and overall skin tone. It seems brighter and more glowy even w/o any products on. I would buy it again for the price, but I would prefer something that's more suitable for oily/combinational skin.

Loose Powders -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear
cattykitty 6/26/2008 2:19:00 PM
I had high hope for this product since PF advertises it as being so natural and contains no preservatives. However, this product really disappoints me. First, the powder has a very strong odor maybe due to no added fragrance. It's something foul that's tolerable but definitely unpleasant to linger around your nose. Secondly, the powder is a bit drying and cakey. It doesn't have that light feel. You could feel you are wearing a layer of something. This powder doesn't provide much coverage, and the lasting power is just all right. It did not irritate my acne prone skin. The shade selection is very limited, most are relatively light. I would not recommend this to anyone. Oh, did I mention the goat hair brush is absolutely un-usable?
