Treatments -Philosophy - The Oxygen Boost Daily Energizing Oxygen Elixir
cassigail 7/26/2012 8:52:00 AM
I am on my second tube of this. I use it underneath Take a Deep Breath, and my face has transformed from very oily and blemish prone to smooth and I have not had any blemishes in months! It is refreshing to put this on and there are noticeable differences even after the first few uses. I do recommend. It is very expensive, but it's worth it to me because it lasts a good amount of time (over 3 months) and my skin is in better shape than ever! I suggest pairing this with TADB; the results are amazing. I won't use anything else.

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Take a Deep Breath Oil Free Energizing Gel Cream Moisturizer
cassigail 7/26/2012 8:46:00 AM
I was recommended this product a couple of months before my wedding in May 2012. The container easily lasted me 3+ months, and it has been amazing for my skin. I can't remember the last time I had any blesmishes. I am on my second container of this now; I won't use anything else. I use this after applying the Philosophy oxygen peel. My face looks better than ever, and I don't wear foundation anymore- ever. I highly suggest this cream. It's pricey, but well worth it for the amazing benefits received from using this cream. I have oily skin as well, and it has been so helpful in that regard, too. Try this- you won't be disappointed!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Foundation brush
cassigail 3/12/2011 11:31:00 PM
I had been using Urban Decay's cream to powder foundation and using make up sponges, but when the SA at Ulta suggested I try BeneFit's Hello Flawless powder foundation, as I had ran out of my UD foundation, I brought this brush back out of my bag. The SA tried to sell me an expensive foundation brush, but I decided to try this one, in an attempt to save some money. I really like ELF's brushes; they don't shed much, if at all, and they are good quality for the price. I may break down and buy a more expensive brush if and when this one stops working as well, but as of now, I am pleased with it. It helps my foundation apply very smoothly. I recommend this and I would not mind repurchasing.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional

Best primer I have ever used. I use BeneFit's Hello Flawless! foundation over this, and it looks amazing. I hate the price, but the quality makes it worth it. Great for oily skin. I will buy this again and again.

Powder -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hello Flawless!
cassigail 3/12/2011 10:08:00 AM
I went into Ulta a few days ago, looking for a new foundation to help with my oily skin. I have been searching for years. I have tried BE, UD both mineral and cream to powder, Ulta brand, etc., all with primer and setting spray over it. The SA was SO nice and helpful. She said she has oily skin as well, and recommended this powder foundation along with BeneFit's POREfessional primer. It is the best combination of face make up I have EVER tried. Yes, I still have to touch up with my UD De-Slick powder once or twice during the day, but it doesn't wear off or cake. I recommend using a foundation brush to apply this, as opposed to either of the applicators provided, because it gives a natural look and much less product is needed. I was hesitant to spend another $34 on a foundation that might turn out like all the rest I've tried, but I really feel confident in this purchase. I love how my face looks and feels with this on. Oh, and just to say: I wear "Never Settle Petal" and it's a perfect match.

Lip Gloss -Milani - 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss - Fashion Diva
cassigail 2/13/2011 8:09:00 PM
I just bought this last night and I am already in love with it! The color is gorgeous and it's not sticky or gooey. The packaging is adorable; I'm so excited to wear it more! It seems perfect for a natural look if worn alone, or for a more dramatic look if worn over lip stick. I definitely recommend this! It is awesome! I will definitely be trying more Milani products!

Toners -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Face Mist
cassigail 1/16/2011 8:56:00 AM
I use this to set my make up. I don't need it for moisture really, because I use face creams/moisturizers, and I have oily skin so I definitely don't need extra moisture, but I really like using this to help set my make up. I still have to touch up a couple times during the day with powder, especially if it's hot outside or where I am inside, but my make up looks awesome for quite some time thanks to this stuff. It also helps my eyeshadow pop out even more and look really bright. This is a must for me. Definitely recommend.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
cassigail 1/16/2011 8:52:00 AM
I usually use this over foundation primer, but under the rest of my make up, and occasionally over make up, and I really like it. I have fairly oily skin, but with this, I can go most of the day without using my De-Slick powder. Even when I work out (if it's in the middle of the day, I don't take my make up off, ha), I don't get *too* shiny, just a little bit. I also use another setting spray, so I think the two combined work really well together. I do recommend this product. If you have very oily skin, a few touch ups during the day may be in order, but I've definitely noticed a big difference in how often I need to touch up since using this product.

Pressed Powders -Urban Decay - De-Slick Mattifying Powder
cassigail 1/13/2011 9:23:00 AM
I have been using this powder for a while now, and I love it. I have very oily skin, especially in the summer, but De-Slick really helps with it! It is heavy on my wallet, but it lasts forever so I can justify spending $30 on it. The compact I'm on now, I've been using for at least 3 months, and I still have most of it to go through. I love it!!

Lip Gloss -MAC - If it’s Pink Dazzleglass Creme (Alice + Olivia)
cassigail 1/11/2011 9:54:00 PM
This lip gloss has its pros and cons. Pros: -gorgeous color -lasts a long time -looks great over lipstick or alone Cons: -expensive -really thick -easy to find comparable colors for cheaper elsewhere Overall, I like it and I have gotten good use out of it. I love bright pink, and although I have found comparable (in color) lip glosses for cheaper (Essence at Ulta for $1.99!), they're not as vivid or bold, which is what I really like. I do recommend it, but only if you are looking for something very edgy, eye-catching, and, well... thick.

Eye Shadow -MAC - magenta madness
cassigail 1/11/2011 9:50:00 PM
When I saw this, upon walking into MAC for the first time, I knew I had to have it. I am in a rock band and I love to wear fun, bold make up on stage. This pigment has not let me down. It is somewhat difficult to apply, which is why I'm only giving it 4 lippies, but other than that, it is so awesome. I LOVE the color and with primer, it lasts all night, even when I'm sweaty on stage. It is a gorgeous color and just my style. It's a bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. I recommend it.

Powder -Ulta - Mineral Powder Foundation
cassigail 1/11/2011 9:39:00 PM
I didn't break out from using this foundation like others said they did, but neither of the shades I bought worked for me. First, I tried Fair 05 and it was much too dark and orange-y. Then I tried Fair 03, which was better, but almost too light. I think there need to be many more tone selections. I'll stick to Urban Decay foundation from now on. I usually love Ulta's products, but this is not one of them.

Mascara -Sonia Kashuk - Mascara
cassigail 1/11/2011 9:35:00 PM
I bought this in a pinch when I was out of town and needing some mascara. I had heard good things about Sonia Kashuk's make up line, so I decided to try this out. It's not the best mascara I've ever used, but it's definitely not the worst. I use it as a base more than anything. I love that it has a comb on one end of it; that is such a great tool! I think it should be re-packaged in a round tube though, as opposed to a square one. Bottom line: I do recommend this and I would buy it again.

Powder -Urban Decay - Surreal Skin Foundation
cassigail 1/10/2011 6:27:00 PM
I love this foundation. I prefer UD's Cream to Powder Foundation, but this stuff is a close second. It gives a very natural look, which I like. I wish it came with a brush to use to apply it with; I think I'd have more luck that way. Still, it is a great foundation and I do recommend it. It lasts forever, too, so I don't mind forking up $30.00 for it.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - Complexion Primer Potion - Pore Perfecting
cassigail 1/10/2011 6:23:00 PM
I LOVE this primer. I have very large pores and oily skin, but this primer makes my skin look flawless. My make up lasts for hours with it, too. My only problem with it is the packaging. I have to unscrew the entire lid off to get it open, but it seems like it should have a smaller opening place...? If someone could message me and let me know how to open it, I'd sure appreciate it! Otherwise, this stuff is the best!
