Treatments -Garnier - Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment

I bought this recently when I ran out of my main brand of Argon Oil dry spray and at first I was unimpressed. I would mix it with my conditioner in the shower and rinse. I set it to the side and bought my normal stuff. Just a few weeks ago I decided to give this another go before tossing it. I love this now. I add it to my wet hair as soon as I jump out of the shower, before combing and I've noticed I have a lot less frizz and my hair is super soft. The smell is awesome and the price is too. I would def repurchase this. I wanted to add: I finally figured out the smell is just like Pureology's Shamp'Oil. If you love that, you will enjoy this scent as well.

I've been using this on my hair and my daughters for over a year and absolutetly love it. My youngest has hair to her waist and this is the best thing I've found to detangle her hair, wet or dry. It doesn't look greasy only shiny if you use it dry. It smells amazing and I would continue to repurchase. We've gone thru probably 10+ of these bottles. I find the spray is alot easier to use than a pour bottle and if you get it at Sally's on a special sometimes it's as cheap as $6.95 or at the most $10.

Concealers -Kat Von D - Tattoo Concealer

I use this in the color light 18. I'm around NC25 in Mac. I like this concealer, I don't absolutely love it but it's my 2nd fav next to MUFE Full Cover. In fact, I think they are both very similar. The light is the same color as MUFE #6. I use both interchangeably with the Sephora #57 concealer brush. I think it covers well but nothing amazing for me. I use it only for blemishes on my face and feel it doesn't last as long as I need but I still use it. I would not repurchase only because I prefer the Full Cover mentioned earlier.

Makeup Brushes -Sephora - Pro Airbrush Concealer Brush # 57
carrasco 1/22/2013 2:34:00 PM
I've owned this brush for maybe 3 weeks and I absolutely love it. I've never owned a concealer brush like this one. It's super soft and fluffy and blends concealer perfectly. I used to use a duo fiber brush and sometimes could see swirl marks after using it, not with this. I dab the concealer right onto the brush and apply. I stipple first then swirl and blend. I really wish I would've picked up another. I might do that next time I make the trip to Sephora. I would recommend this to anyone who uses concealer on blemishes. (I have yet to use it for undereyes) This and MUFE full cover are a perfect pair!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Bad to the Bronze / on and on bronze
carrasco 10/28/2012 12:23:00 PM
I'm a big fan of this color, not a big fan of them testing on animals. I could not control myself, I had to buy this. I love it. To me it's not bronze at all, it's a shimmery golden taupe. I only use this on the lid and blacktrack fluidline and mascara. It looks great paired with the black. It stays put all day with no creasing. It's one of my new favorites, even though I purchased it back when they first came out. I use it several times per week, it's so easy when I'm in a hurry and still looks like I took the time for makeup. I always apply with my finger, going up into the crease, it always looks like I used a different shadow but it's just this. I would buy this again!

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in Heather Mauve
carrasco 8/24/2012 12:40:00 PM
The name is very deceiving. I do not find it anywhere close to a mauve whatsoever. I'd say it's a super shimmery silver purple. I get some fallout and I have no issues with wear but it's just not for me anymore. I like the sleek square packaging and you can see what color your grabbing without turning it over to see the name on the back. This shadow is quite pricey for me for a single shadow but with that said it did last me quite some time. I would not repurchase.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Hollywood Beauty Tea Tree Oil

I picked this up at Sally's for less than $2, it's a quite small bottle but I figured it was worth a shot for my acne and it wasn't too costly if I didn't like it. I always apply at night, I unscrew the lid, dip a cue-tip in and apply to acne spots or blackheads. The first time I treid this I was not a fan of the smell it's a peppermint sort of scent but I've really grown to love it. After the first 2 nights I noticed several blackheads had formed into full fledged pimples. I assumed the oil brought them to the surface, who knows. I decided to not use it for a few nights but I did go back to it. For the last 4 or 5 months I've had 10-15 blackheads on my forehead that I just can't seem to get rid of. I've tried popping them and also tried applying thick coats of Salicylic acid at night but it doesn't seem to do the trick. I've been applying this to my forehead every night without fail, it's been at least 8-10 days and right now I've only got about 5 or so blackheads. It's got to be this clearing up my skin because I have no active blemishes & the blackheads are diminishing as well. I fully plan on continued use and will repurchase since nothing else seems to work for my skin like this has.

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - green apple
carrasco 7/5/2012 1:27:00 PM
I bought this for $1.50 at Wal-Mart and the entire family loves this. I actually had to go back and buy more, I ended up purchasing close to a dozen. My 5 yr old son wrestles 3x a week and Saturdays are all day matches and he tends to lick his lips a lot and because of that, they get very sore, red and dry. He will not use any lipbalm that burns and this does not. The smell is very nice, it smells like apple Jolly Rancher. The consistancy is not like most chapsticks, it's very soft and creamy and leaves lips looking shiny. The only problem we have is it melts very easily. I carry multiples in my purse and in my car and my husband always has 1 in his lunch box for work and his car as well. I will continue to use and buy this product, it seems these are always coming up missing.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Cold & Allergy Lip Soother
carrasco 7/5/2012 1:22:00 PM
I don't have issues with allergies and I don't get colds very often but I bought this and use it all year round. I love that this is more creamy than most lip balms, it seems you get more on your lips with just a few swipes vs regular chapstick that you have to apply layer after layer. It has a nice scent, maybe citrus? And the feeling on the lips is cooling. I bought this for $1.50 and will continue to use and purchase this.

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Precious
carrasco 7/1/2012 7:32:00 PM
I'm one of those people that doesn't know when new DS stuff comes out so I just happen to snag this a few weeks ago while in Wal-Mart and found out later it's the newest thing.I initially only picked this color because it's a soft neutral pinky/nude and that's right up my alley. I find it's a little too pink for my skintone and my liking. I really don't like the minty smell either. I liked how it twists up and how it felt like a lipstick sorta balm but I'm not a fan of lip stains whatsoever. I really didn't think my lips would stain this color. It did, but I never reapply more than 2 times a day so it wasn't a super stain. I would not buy this or any of these again, it's not terrible but it's just not for me. Update: I tried really hard to love this, I dug it out of my purse and applied it pretty heavy 2 days ago, I really like the color it applied but an hour later the shiny peach color was gone what remained was a very pink stain. This is literally the only time I've seen the stain part. ( I must not have applied it heavily enough before or something). I absolutely hate this product and it went into my swap/purge pile.

Lotions/ Creams -St. Ives - Intensive Healing- Advanced Body Moisturizer
carrasco 6/14/2012 12:09:00 PM
I would never have purchased this if I had gone to my normal grocery store since the choices are endless. I literally had 4 choices at this store and decided on this. I have been using this for a few week and I will never go back to my old lotion. This has a very faint scent but since it is supposed to be unscented I'm going to assume it's from all the natural plant extracts and it's a nice smell. It reminds me alot of vaseline when it's first pumped out but when rubbed in it's so moisturizing and not greasy whatsoever. It isn't sticky either. I love that it has no parabens and does not test on animals, those 2 things are big for me and for all the reasons listed above, I will repurchase.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
carrasco 6/13/2012 12:07:00 PM
I finally got my hands on this after years of debating. I prefer a shimmery base such as Paint Pots in Bare Study or Vintage Selection but figured I'd like it anyway. Ok firstly, the color is a matte very light yellow, when I first opened this up I immediately thought this is the exact same as Mac Studio Sculpt concealer in NC20. I dug out both and compared them side by side and the Soft Ochre is more yellow and the NC concealer is already yellow toned, it just looks more neutral compared to the paint pot. I have used this as a base all over the lid all the way up to my brows and it works great for a shadow to stick to, I'd actually say more than a shimmery base. I would probably repurchase and I might use this as a concealer when I'm more fair in the winter.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot - Constructivist
carrasco 5/1/2012 8:13:00 PM
This paint pot is dark chocolate brown with a sheen to it, I wouldn't say shimmers or glitters are in it just a sheen. The sheen doesn't really come through on the lids though. I have no issues with blending, this does seem to be more on the dry side when compared to Bare Study or Rubenesque but still very creamy compared to Quite Natural. For me this works great at a base for giving dark colors more dimension. I love to use Satin Taupe over it or the right side of Nars Kalahari. I really love paint pots, I use one every single day under powder shadows. This is one of my less used paint pots but I would still repurchase.

Lips -MAC - Dazzleglass Creme SOFT DAZZLE
carrasco 4/25/2012 11:31:00 AM
The color of this is my perfect gloss color, it's a soft muted pink with gold glitters. For me it's pretty sheer once applied but I love pairing this with Myth lipstick. I don't find it gritty like others mentioned, I find it smooth and creamy. I do see the gold glitters once the gloss wears off but for me that's no big deal. I'm curious to see if this gloss will be gone in a few weeks like the dazzleglasses. The smell is like all other Mac lip products, a nice vanilla scent. I no longer like Mac lipglosses, the stickiness really turns me off but this specific color I might repurchase although I think it's dupeable. Update: Yes, I do feel the gritty feeling others mentioned. I usually wear this over lipstick and it feels super soft but today I applied after lunch without lipstick and I could def feel the glitters. I would still repurchase, but I wanted to update my review.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Indianwood
carrasco 4/24/2012 11:57:00 AM
Indianwood is a very warm bronze color, almost metallic looking in the pot. I've owned this for a few years and I literally remember using it maybe 5x. I thought I really liked it but after using it this morning, I'm just not sure it's for me. It pulled way too orange and right now I'm in between NC20 & NC25. I used the left bronze side of my Nars Kalahari duo on top and added brown liner & black mascara and it looked nice but it's a little too warm for my liking. I remember specifically wearing this the summer before last with the same eye look and it didn't look orange, it was a nice bronze shade. I am thinking it just doesn't work for me when I'm this pale, maybe in the summer I'll bring it back out. I really love paint pots, I use one everyday. They are so creamy and easy to apply with no creasing and for me I have had no issues with any drying out but as of right now, I'm sure I would not repurchase.
