Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Peppermint Bark Lip Shine
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:40:00 PM
The color is nice and sheer. I actually like the smell and taste. I like how it feels on my lips too. My main issue is that I can only use this if I am using nothing else on my lips. It makes my lipstick melt off and kinda does this gooey feathering thing. Considering I could only use it as a glossy balm, I think I could find something that works just as well for less money.

Lip Treatments -Korres - Lip Butter - Pomegranate
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:37:00 PM
I love this stuff I would still repurchase, despite the things that I don't like about it. The color is SO pretty. I am not sure that I would consider this pomegranate because it looks a little too coral to me...but whatevs...I call it great. I love the feel and the tint that it leaves on my lips. I just can't stand sticking my fingers into things. I don't want to sound gross, but it really isn't a contamination thing, as much as it is a "where the heck to I wipe my finger when I'm done" thing. I am always on the go and I don't always have tissue readily available when I need to re-apply and I detest lip brushes. Barring all that, I still love it :)

Lipstick -BeneFit Cosmetics - full-finish lipstick lady's choice
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:33:00 PM
This is my favorite nude/neutral lipstick! I first got the sample and then just HAD to have a full size. It is not super pale, so I don't look sick. It seems to have a hint of a rosy tone to it. The formulation is a little heavy, but non-drying. I love the feel of it when I put it on.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Kate Moss 14
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:30:00 PM
We all know how hard it is to find a nude lip stick that doesn't wash us out and make us look like a zombie! This one totally works for me!!! It has a non-drying, satiny finish and seems to last for quite a while. I hate the smell, thank goodness it doesn't last long. It smells like red kool-aide to me.

Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter - Raspberry Pie
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:27:00 PM
This color is beautiful. If you try this color, you will never again think that lip butters are nothing but tinted lip balm! This color is a "matte" color only in the essence that it has no glitter. It has a beautiful sheen to the lips, but not so much that your hair gets stuck to it when you put it on. For those who like shine, but not stick...this formulation would be great. It wears down to a nice even stain over time, and there is no bleeding outside my lips even without lip liner. I really feel that if you would like darker lips, but are a little apprehensive about having a stark, crisp, lip...definitely give it a whirl.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - I Dream of Greenie
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:18:00 PM
These are so so so pigmented and definitely give you a POP! The least pigmented is the eyelid shade, but it is still really nice. My only complaint with this palette is that they greens would definitely be usable on their own paired with other shadows, but the tones of the green don't seem to mesh well together. I suppose you could use all 3 for a very vibrant smoky green look, but you would have to blend your butt off, and I'm still not sure that they would really be an optimal color choice for that.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:13:00 PM
This is a neutral palette for those gals that like pop! The browbone color is super pigmented and a wearable baby pink. It is a little powdery, but not so much that it isn't easy enough to work with. The crease color is nice, but it is not as outstanding as the other 2 colors. It would take a little bit to make it opaque for a super dark smoky look The taupe is what totally MAKES this palette. It is buttery, not powdery, opaque, and drop dead gorgeous!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Knock on Wood
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:09:00 PM
I love these colors!!! So warm and pretty :) The browbone color, I would NEVER use on my browbone. It is just too dark. The pigmentation is lacking a little in contrast to the other 2 colors in the palette. The crease color is a yummy dark chocolate brown. It is soft and buttery. The eyelid color is also super buttery and pigmented. I love the cranberry color and it has enough purple in it to make my hazel green eyes pop without making my eyes look sickly like many red toned shadows can.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Spoiled Brat
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 3:04:00 PM
Can't beat the price on these gorgeous trios! I don't find myself reaching for this palette frequently, but that is mostly due to the tone. The silver has a beautiful buttery pigmentation (too cool for me though). The black is not horribly bad, though I feel that it would take it a bit to get full opacity. That being said, it isn't super sheer, and I can use it to discretely darken up another color. The fushia is beautiful, I only wish it had the same pigmentation of the silver. Strictly drugstore speaking, it is nice to see such in your face colors, and as for DS black, it is REALLY nice.

Polishes -China Glaze - Vertical Rush
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 2:58:00 PM
I liike CG polishes in general. Good formulation and fast drying. The coverage is nice, not streaky, and takes about 1.5 coats for me to get full coverage. The color is pretty. Not sure that it suits completely on my hands due to my complexion and aversion to really deep colors on my hands. But I really like it on my toes :)

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 2:53:00 PM
I guess I am one of the lucky ones that this tone worked for me. I have light/medium neutral (leaning warm) skin tone. If it had more pigmentation I may change my mind, but I find that it is a good go-to for my "me but better" days. The formulation is fabulous! It definitely fits the bill, because I am one of those who always have something on my lips. It is moisturizing and creamy and really does feel like a nice lip balm. All that being said, I am not sure that I would definitely purchase this color again. It has a little sparkle, which I don't like in a lip stick. I even prefer just shine not obvious sparkle in my glosses. And for over $7, I can get the same look for less.

Polishes -Milani - Raspberry Fusion
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 2:47:00 PM
This color is beautiful! It is a super sparkly vibrant pink! There is pink microglitter that makes this baby shine shine shine! The glitter does not leave the nail feeling gritty at all. The coverage is very sheer, but I actually like that so I can use it to layer over other colors. It went opaque in 3 quick drying coats. It has a standard brush and was easy to handle. I will most definitely be checking out more Milani polishes.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Eggplant
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 2:40:00 PM
This a very flattering purple color; eggplant is a very appropriate description of it. I could see a lot of people being able to use it despite their tone. Color payoff seems good, and I had no problems with lack of creaminess with this product. I tried it on the waterline too, did not last an extremely long time there, but no worse than most eyeliners, and it did not melt down under my eyes. Lasting time on my lids was nice, but not super long wear either. The brush that came with it would be totally useless as an eyeliner brush for me. It seems that it would be really decent for brows though. If I didn't already have a million brown and black cream liners I would be going back for more in the brown and black.

Powder -LORAC - Oil-Free Wet/Dry Makeup
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 2:31:00 PM
The color I have is actually too light for me, but that is not impacting my opinion of it. The texture of the powder is soft. It is rather "powdery" considering it is a foundation. It does not seem to sink into my skin. I tried it wet and really had the same issue. Therefore, the coverage either was a little too powdery or splotchy (depending on which way I used it). I have used this to set foundation or touchups as a face powder... but as a foundation... I'm out. I have used many products, even drug store, what served better purposes as either a foundation or powder. Lorac is my all time fav brand, but this was an utter fail for me.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Gem Crush Big Money
carolmuncy 2/18/2012 2:25:00 PM
The color is fan-freaking-tastic! It is a pale yellow gold, looks almost silver sometimes, with lilac sparkles sprinkled within. It seems that almost any skin tone could pull it off, though, it seems to lean a little cool to me. Opaque coverage in 2 coats, but you could really pull off 1, depending on how super sparkled you wanted it. I put this over a base of clear nail polish (only because I was really excited to use it) and topped it with just clear nail polish. I noticed where there was no base on my nail, the polish flaked in a huge chunk. So I think it would be safe to say that this is not super-duper long lasting. I would figure, if you wanted to put the effort into finding the right base and topcoat you could find something that worked. The glitter was even and did not clump, but the texture was a little gritty after drying. All in all, none of these issues would prevent me from purchasing the other colors.
