I tried cleansing with this for my clogged prone skin but it yielded nasty results. I do however like this for an eye makeup remover. I use a waterproof eyeliner and mascara and this is very gentle on my eyes and the left behind moisture can't be bad. Also wonderful for shaving legs.

Mascara -Tarte - Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara

I really like this mascara. I bought in a duo set from Qvc when they were running it at a special price. The formula is very user friendly. It really brings out every lash, truly volumizing and uplifting. If I cry a little it doesn't run and smear all over my face. I don't end up with any flakies on my cheeks at the end of the day even when the tube got to be about two months old. I like the wood/bamboo style packaging. But most of all I love how lovely my lashes look ;) needless to say I am on auto- delivery now.

Gels/Soaps -Neutrogena - Body Clear Body Wash - Pink Grapefruit

I have picky skin, even on my body. I get breakout on my back and chest and have to be careful what bodywashes I use. This is one that I honestly like and can use regularly and it actually helps clear (it does take almost a full bottle to get the effects of the SA in it). This also helps to improve the condition of the KP bumps I get on my upper arms. Very fun fruitylicious fragrance. A great pick-me-up!

Yuck, yuck, yuck I hated the medicinal aweful smell of this. Had to make myself finish a full bottle of this, not at all a pleasure to use. Much prefer the grapefruit version that Neutrogena offers, it doesn't have the weird grit and smells fresh and fruity.

Treatments -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment [DISCONTINUED]

I wanted to love this, and did for awhile for a few reasons. I loved the way it felt, the gel-like texture and most of all the way it smelled and made my skin feel. But over time I noticed this wasn't helping, it was clogging my pores rather than clearing my face. I am very clog-prone and something in this ruined an otherwise wonderful experience. Could use a definite reformulation.

Lotions/ Creams -Philosophy - time on your hands
rated 2 of 5
caramelkiss19 6/30/2012 9:46:00 AM

The texture of this is very thick and creamy , the smell is very strong and unpleasant. I did not find myself enjoying use of this, although my hands became smooth and soft my nail area did not respond well to this. Too expensive, used it up and moved on...

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lansinoh Lanolin

I have used this over a month and can officially say I don't think I can live without this. It is my go to for my lips, I put it on in the morning and rarely do I need to apply lip moisturizer again throughout the day. I need to get another tube to keep in my purse in case I want to reach for this at work or when I'm on the run. Aside from using as a lip balm I also apply this to my eyebrows to 'set' them in place, I also get dry patches in and around my brows and this helps that. I love the simple pretty packaging and that it does not irritate, it heals and soothes! I found this thanks to skincareboarder Barbih's notepad, thanks so much :)

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Dickinson's- Pore Perfecting Toner
rated 2 of 5

There are two different witch hazel products offered by Dickinsons, one for first aid and one for skin care. This is the one designed for the face, I have discovered it is a little bit more difficult to find but it is in the skincare aisle at my local pharmacy. This contains natural alcohol 14% paraben free, acid free, dye free, fragrance free and all natural. I have tried a few different witch hazel brands and have found my way back to this one for the simplicity and quality. (Although I like thayers the glycerin seems to cause issue with me.) The ingredients are witch hazel, alcohol (14%) and witch hazel extract. That's it! It is cooling, soothing and one of my very favorite things...my face is so refreshed and smooth. Update 3/9/2013: the alcohol is too irritating seems to cause breakouts with regular use

Mascara -It Cosmetics - Hello Lashes! 5-in-1 volumizing
rated 2 of 5
caramelkiss19 6/20/2012 1:57:00 PM

So far this mascara has met all of my expectations. I have been keeping my eye out for a mascara that would be gentle on my sensitive eyes as well as goof proof. I don't want black flakes molting down on my cheeks or smears or clumpy...is that too much to ask?! It Cosmetics said no, no it's not :D My initial reaction when applying this was "holy toledo!"...it really makes my lashes look really long, like extensions. The application was quick and easy, I prefer a more natural look so one coat is sufficient. I love the wonderful brush design with the little ball at the end. I can really reach every little lash. Update (9/8/12): I ended up returning this, sad to say but the product became clumpy and dried out within a couple weeks. It would no longer perform as it did originally.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - The Homestead Company- alcohol free witch hazel
rated 1 of 5
caramelkiss19 6/20/2012 1:19:00 PM

I bought this product from vitacost. I initially picked it out for a few different reasons, the first being the cute packaging that would look nice on my vanity. The second reason was to make my own niacinamide toner at home with minimal ingredients and lastly I was drawn to the fact the the preservative was not alcohol (drying). That being said the benzoic acid preservative is the downfall of this product. My skin became increasingly red and blotchy, with little irritation breakouts all over my face. I was nearly clear before I started using this! :( Note to the wise, put every product your thinking of buying through www.cosdna.com ingredients analysis...save yourself the heartache if you are acneprone or sensitive.

Other -Tom's of Maine - tartar control & whitening toothpaste
rated 4 of 5
caramelkiss19 5/30/2012 10:50:00 AM

My review is for the antiplaque and whitening flouride-free version. I have purchased at least half a dozen times, always prefer to have a coupon of course :) I enjoy the taste and texture and it seems to clean very well without stripping my gums like some other toothpastes do. I originally switched to this paste in search for a sulfate free paste that wouldn't contribute to any additional breakouts around my mouth area. I have found it on vitacost for a fair price , but it is carried by my local walmart as well.

Gels/Soaps -Giovanni - Grapefruit Sky Cleanse Body Wash
rated 3 of 5
caramelkiss19 5/30/2012 10:33:00 AM

I can't believe there are so few reviews here for these body washes. I love them all. Just not a fan of the price. This scent is great for summertime, a nice 'pick me up' for a warm summers day. Gentle enough for my whole body if I'm in a rush, in my hair on my face and everywhere else. The downside to this is the same with the rest of the line it's a tad pricey and goes quickly. That being said yes I would repurchase with stipulations that they be on sale or clearance. These washes regularly are about $11 a pop and barely last a month for me.

Hair -Giovanni - 50/50 Balanced Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
caramelkiss19 5/30/2012 10:25:00 AM

I've been lucky enough to find this in a supersize pump version at either marshalls or Tj Maxx. I love the giovanni line and they have some really nice quality shampoos for acne sufferers. These are gentle on my hair and scalp and don't break me out. My one gripe is of course the price. A regular size bottle of this at the pharmacy last I checked was $8. I just can't grasp paying 20 bucks to walk out with one bottle of shampoo and one conditioner. I also can't seem to find this anywhere locally anymore. I just snatched up what was left in the 75% off section, so I hope they are not discontinueing the whole line :(

Shampoo -Giovanni - Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo
rated 3 of 5
caramelkiss19 5/30/2012 10:15:00 AM

I really like this shampoo, it is refreshing and enjoyable to use. Does not aggravate my acne which is a big factor in my purchase of hair products. This is a really nice line, but pricey. I only purchase if it goes on sale, then stock up. My local pharmacy has discontinued carrying all Giovanni products so I no longer have easy access to them. Would recommend if you can find it and get it on sale but I cringe when having to pay $8 for a teeny bottle.

Gels/Soaps -Giovanni - Body Wash Lavender Snow
rated 4 of 5
caramelkiss19 5/30/2012 10:12:00 AM

I love all of the Giovanni body washes, this one included. The scent is a light lavender, not overpowering. I find these great especially in summer time my skin is soft and my Kp diminished with regular use. Would buy regularly if they weren't so stinkin expensive! I happened to get lucky at my local pharmacy they were 75% off so I stocked up on all scents. Also great when used as shampoo, although I don't shampoo more than 2x a week.
