Polishes -OPI - My Very First Knockwurst
carakitty5 1/14/2013 7:09:00 PM
I absolutely adore dusty blush pink-type colors, so I was quite thrilled with the swatches of this polish. I had been wanting the whole OPI Germany collection, but this is a very subtle, flattering color for my fair neutral-toned skin. The formula was a bit streaky at first, but it can be remedied by waiting for the coats to dry a little more. I'm also not incredibly fond of the wide brush, as my nails are pretty narrow, but this is such a lovely color, I took advantage of a BOGO half off sale and bought two bottles. I think this is a solid work appropriate color, and would also layer well under many colors of glitter.

Polishes -Orly - Lollipop

I love love love this lavender! Usually warm shades don't suit my skin tone, but the moment I saw swatches of this color, I have been wanting it for months...months! Finally I got this at Sally's and this color is smooth and gorgeous! With a few drops of thinner, this is only a one coat polish. I gladly paid full price for this! I think this will be one of the few shades I will want wear over and over again, and one that suits any occasion.

Polishes -Orly - Gumdrop
carakitty5 12/16/2012 2:23:00 AM
The color of this polish is simply gorgeous! I had set off to find a Tiffany Blue color, and had my eyes set on this. I like that this has more green than for Audrey, but I have never tried FA so no actual comparison. Formula: thick and tends to drag if you aren't careful. BUT... if you add about 4 drops of thinner and shake a lot, this is amazing! This (along with lollipop, which I love even more) becomes a smooth, self-leveling ONE COAT nail polish. This is extremely opaque, and although it is not perfect initially, the few drops of thinner make it wonderful.

Hair -Wen by Chaz Dean - Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner
carakitty5 11/24/2012 9:40:00 PM
I received this as a set for my birthday, and this has absolutely saved my hair! My hair is color treated and has a tendency to have oily roots, but even doing wen a few times a week alternating with shampoo has rescued my hair! I would get this again if it were not so expensive, or I would like to try something more cleansing or more suited to fine/oily roots.

So, to be perfectly honest, this is a typical streaky pastel and will take three coats until there are no streaks.Despite this issue, the shade is lovely and worth the wait!

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Confetti #004 Tazmanian Devil
carakitty5 10/24/2012 8:27:00 PM
I absolutely love this polish! It's very densely packed with glitter and micro glitter, so no problems getting it on your nails! I haven't tried it, but I suspect if you use 3 coats or so, it could be cool as a stand alone manicure. This looks gorgeous over all of the polishes I have tried with this, and imo it looks awesome over a baby blue nail color. :) I would most definitely buy this again.

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
carakitty5 9/16/2012 9:09:00 PM
I love, love, love this powder. The packaging totally sucks, but I bought a 2-pack and it lasted me a year. Granted, you can't travel with this, but it lasts about 12 hours, so for me, it doesn't matter. With the money you save, you can afford to buy a decent compact for touch ups. As for quality... I like it! It keeps my face nice and under control, and does not irritate my skin. No scent (yay!), and controls shine for about 8-10 hours. So all in all, get this if you want a cheap powder that does the job, so long as you don't mind keeping it in your drawer at home.

Scrubs -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash pink grapefruit foaming scrub
carakitty5 8/31/2012 1:27:00 AM
I used this a year ago and had horrible issues with it. This dried out my skin very badly, and the grapefruit extract caused some contact dermatitis all over my lips and nose area. I stopped use for a week and the bumps went away, and when I tried it again, more dermatitis and bumps. I would not recommend this product for people who have sensitive skin. If you have any issues with citrus, avoid this.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone in Pinch O'Peach
carakitty5 8/8/2012 1:43:00 AM
This blush is perfect for a sheer flush of pink or a bright pop of color! I love how customizable this is. It is a bit pricey at around $15, but if I could only have one blush in my stash, his would be my choice! (for reference, I *think* I'm around a NW15-Nw20)

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Spoiled
carakitty5 8/8/2012 1:40:00 AM
I got 2 colors of this polish (show me some skin, toad-ally amazing) and although they are lovely colors and cheap, the brush is awful. They are too wide and thick, which makes it impossible to do controlled strokes and almost always require a lot of cleanup. I will keep them for nail art colors, but probably will not indulge in any more. I say either go for sinful colors (better brush) or pay the extra $$ and get SH (Or china glaze, etc.)

Polishes -OPI - Sephora by OPI - Already Famous
carakitty5 8/8/2012 1:24:00 AM
I absolutely love this color! Sort of a metallic champagne/ antique silver... and quite versatile. I got this in the mini set (rocker chic, I think), so it was quite pricey. This color can be used any season, is good stand alone or layered, but I will not buy it again simply due to price. (BTW, China Glaze Swing Baby is an exact dupe, only slightly more opaque and more reasonably priced!!)

Moisturizers -Olay - Complete All Day Moisturizer with sunscreen Sensitive Skin SPF15 (classic gentle formula)
carakitty5 5/27/2012 8:36:00 PM
I love how moisturizing this is! Usually I can't try new facial products because they dry out or break out my skin, but this moisturizer helps keep my skin soft and less broken out because of the SPF and moisture. I also notice that I have less dark spots after a breakout. This is also great because it is the only sunscreen that does not make my face greasy or broken out! I woud definately reccomend this! I layer this over my salicylic acid lotion ( target brand)!

Scrubs -St. Ives - Renew and Firm Apricot Scrub
carakitty5 4/4/2012 12:38:00 PM
I bought this based on reviews from this site, and so far this is great! I had a bad breakout from hormones, and this cleared up the dark spots, and (knock on wood) is keeping my acne under control. Beware, if you use this the recommended times a week, your skin might be flaky. BUT, this is the glycolic acid doing its job. My skin is not tight or irritated as it is with other scrubs. I think it is a great scrub for my sensitive, acne prone skin.
