I really like this peachy blush, it is very subtle and buildable. I was hesitant on getting it since it seemed shimmery but in actuality it is not shimmery at all. Could be a dupe for Nars Orgasm without the glittery overcoat.
This is my go-to drugstore every day blush. I wear this 5/7 days of the week, at least. I have fair (Ivory foundation) skin, and this shows up with just enough pigment. I could totally understand where people would say there is not enough pigmentation in these, but for my skintone, I love it. I have repurchased a backup just in case, because I can never find this color "Tickled Pink" they always have Twinkle Pink which is NOT complimentary to my skintone. I've had my original for about 9 months and have yet to go through it so I am also happy about that!
I would buy this color again, but from another brand (drugstore). This color seems dupe-able to me in a much cheaper brand, and although I love this shade for spring and summer, I wouldn't wanna wear it in the fall or winter, it is just too bright. I can't wear this lipstick without a balm underneath as it seemed drying to me.
I got this product as a gift and I loved it for spring! It is a really pretty color but you have to be careful as a ton of product comes out when you only need very little to get the point across. My main complaint is the packaging. I would repurchase if it weren't so expensive. The color is great for fair skin and would even compliment a tanner face tone.
Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
candicenicole 9/27/2012 3:14:00 PM
This is my go-to foundation for a flawless face. I wear this usually during night out events or for date night I am the lightest shade, Ivory. Every time I wear this product, I get so many compliments on how nice my skin is. Perfect night time foundation, it has no SPF and compliments well in pictures. Will repurchase forever! Price is perfect, about 4.99 at Harmon stores and 6.99 at CVS so even at 7 bucks, it is a cheap foundation with a great, full coverage finish.
Styling Products -Garnier - Sleek and Shine Anti-Humidity Hairspray
candicenicole 9/27/2012 12:50:00 PM
I've purchased this hairspray numerous times. I recently got my haircut short (2 inches below my ears) and got sideswept bangs that tend to fall in my face or just disappear in my hair. My stylist told me to spray them with hairspray and they will stay in the position I want them in (DUH but I never use hair products). Ok, well, I already had this spray before my haircut and never used it. Now I use it pretty much DAILY in order to keep my bangs in place and although it is a decent hold, keep in mind it's flexible so if you want something to hold your hair stiff - this is not the one for you. It works great to give my short hair enough bounce throughout the day but keeps it from flying all over the place when I walk outside!
Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Magic Lumi - Light Infusing Primer
candicenicole 9/27/2012 12:45:00 PM
I gave this product a 3 simply because, I'm not even 100% sure if it is necessary for me. Would I buy it again? Sure. I've bought it 3 times but lately, I've been skipping it when applying my makeup and I don't know that this primer even made a difference. It's not too expensive ($10) and you get a good amount of product since you really only need one pump per use, but again, does it really do anything? When pumped, it comes out as a white creamy shimmery liquid, so I got nervous when I applied it all over my face but after I put my foundation on, you don't even notice the primer underneath. So, I am neutral about this stuff.
Favorite. Red. EVER. I don't really need to say much about this one. If you are wondering what red you should add to your collection, it's this one. It's creamy, pure red with a little more of a fall-tint than a summer one. It's totally wearable and doesn't matter what skin tone you have! Wish it was cheaper so I could have backup bottles but since it's my HG red, I can totally deal with the price tag.
I really love this red. It is a "True Red" so it is a great red for fair skin and totally makes your teeth look whiter. Perfect red for all year round.
Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
candicenicole 9/27/2012 11:58:00 AM
5's all across the board for this stuff. I'm kind of a mascara junkie so I pile on 2-3 sometimes 4 different mascaras (at night) to make my lashes look really long, thick, and fake without actually having to put on fake eyelashes. My night time routine would be NOTHING without this stuff. seriously, where has this mascara been all my life? It's 2.99 and it's literally the best 2.99 i've ever spent. I've repurchased about 2 times and it honestly makes my lashes look perfect with just this one mascara. My ONLY and I mean ONLY complaint, is that it isn't waterproof. I usually only wear waterproof mascara so my resolution for this is to apply my Jordana mascara and then a quick layer of Covergirl lash blast fusion (waterproof) to finish it off. LOVE!
Love this drugstore eyeliner! I have about 5 of these around my makeup drawers, my makeup bag, and some random purses just in case! Best bang for your buck - people get so surprised when cheap products "don't work" for them but what do people really expect from $2 eyeliner? This is my favorite drugstore eyeliner - I haven't tried anything else for a long time. I'm not saying it's long wearing, I definitely notice smudging/wearoff within a few hours but I really don't mind because it's so smooth and perfect for the waterline.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Fantasy Britney spears
candicenicole 9/27/2012 11:26:00 AM
Would I buy this product again? 100 more times. I know that MAYBE, just MAYBE, this perfume is a little too much on the frilly/fruity/sugary side but I love it. It is probably my favorite perfume, ever. Now, don't get me wrong, I love me some Chanel Chance but I've gotten far more compliments while wearing this perfume than ANY other of my perfumes!!! It is almost ALWAYS at Marshall's, TJMaxx, etc. So I pick it up when I start to run low. I have never used the shower gel or lotion even though it comes in every package I get. I'm not fond of either of them but I swear, this is the best perfume! If you are wondering if you should get this or not, get it! You will be swimming in a vanilla cupcake sugary delicious pool of yumminess. It lasts all day and even when I wear a scarf that I may have sprayed this on it, oh man does that scarf smell good 10 days later when I take it out of the closet again!
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
candicenicole 9/27/2012 11:20:00 AM
I found this primer at Nordstrom Rack for $8.97 and I've never owned UDPP before and the available colors were: Greed, Sin and Eden. I've used ELF's eyeshadow primer for almost a year now and I've been happy with that despite the bad reviews. I have normal skin (sometimes dry in the winter), and I like this primer. Do I think it's worth the $18 price tag? Absolutely not. I can get the same effect from my ELF eyeshadow primer since a majority of the champagne-y color blends away when I blend it into my eyelid. Some people have said they can wear this as a shadow? I wish! Maybe it's because I'm so fair? I will keep using this but won't repurchase since I know I can get the same result from a $1 primer!
Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory
candicenicole 9/27/2012 11:10:00 AM
I really like this concealer! My full face makeup usually consists of Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer and then a layer of this to really brighten and enhance my eyes. This is definitely a medium-full coverage concealer for me and you don't need a lot of this product to get the full coverage. One tube lasts me about 2-3 months and that's with every day application. The price is much lower than I expected ($7 at Target) so I really appreciate that especially with how long it lasts in my makeup drawer! Perfect for touch ups throughout long nights out!
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup
candicenicole 9/27/2012 10:49:00 AM
Let me start by saying I love L'Oreal True Match foundation. It is the perfect match to my skin tone and gives great coverage. I am N1 in the True Match line, so naturally, I purchased the N1 in the Lumi and for some reason, it comes off as a bit yellow-er on my skin. I will be honest, I love the packaging of the Lumi, the pump is great - it was a big reason I purchased this product. I just wish the color was as true as the original TM. I don't want to waste this product and the coverage is medium - full, so I will occasionally combine this foundation with my original TM for a full coverage face for daywear. I won't repurchase this one since I already love the original TM enough to not own this one.
