Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Active Light Makeup SPF 25 ] [DISCONTINUED]
camiller 1/15/2006 6:32:00 PM
I'm quite happy with this product - as one reviewer said, it does kind of squirt out of the tube pretty fast, but I find that the color was a perfect match for me (sand beige), it doesn't make your face greasy, and the spf is a wonderful bonus. I purchased Revlon Age Defying Light makeup with botafirm this past summer and was using it - it was not bad, but I always found it looking a little too slick on my skin, this product has a more matte look and feel. I didn't give this five lippies, I took one away for 1. price - tax and all I paid $20 for a small tube, and 2. it self-squirts out of the tube and it slightly messy. However, I like the product and will repurchase.

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Concealer [DISCONTINUED]
camiller 1/3/2006 2:19:00 PM
I am 40-ish, and was about to purchase another Revlon concealer (age-defying). I was at Walmart and the Revlon was $14, but I saw this for six bucks and decided to give it a try. I purchase it in medium as my skin is fair but I usually wear a tiny bit of self tanner. I have to warn you that a teeny bit goes a long way. When I first dotted a little bit on my undereye circles and then patted it I obviously used too much, it was everywhere!! I redid it and it looks great. I always put a few dots of undereye mosturizer before I use the concealer though (I use Clinique's undereye repairwear). I'm impressed with this concealer - for the price I would highly recommend it.

Liquid -Revlon - Age Defying Light Makeup with Botafirm SPF30 [DISCONTINUED]
camiller 8/28/2005 10:33:00 AM
I purchased this in the light/medium. I like this foundation, I LOVE the spf 30, i'm not in love with the smell of this... but it's bearable. I would repurchase this, but I would go a shade lighter. There were no testers available and I just went by the color on the outer package, but it's a bit too dark/pink for me. I do like this product though, I might purchase one in light or fair.

Lip Gloss -Naturistics - fruit juicy licks
camiller 7/10/2005 10:37:00 AM
This gloss which comes in a cute see-through compact and looks like a bright red color, actually feels quite nice and moisturizing on the lips and there is a slight tint of color. It smells really nice, faint strawberry smell. The only downside? minimal staying power. I bought this for a dollar at our local dollar store.

Self Tanners -Jergens - Natural Glow - Medium
camiller 6/7/2005 8:30:00 PM
Upon first trying this stuff out I thought I had found my HG of self tanners, but alas, it stinks, at least on me it does. Also, it streaked a bit too, even though I have years of self tanning experience and consider myself a pro. So it's not bad, but the search continues.....

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites- Mocha Mousse
camiller 5/30/2005 6:39:00 PM
I love the smell and the feel of this gloss, and I love the color, but I deducted two lippies for the staying power, which is not very good at all.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shiny-licious Cola Float
camiller 5/30/2005 6:36:00 PM
The first shinylicious gloss I bought was sugar plum (nice color, awful smell). I then bought this one. It looks very bronzy in the tube, but it is quite nice and sheer on. It has moderate staying power, and the very faint cola smell is not too bad either.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shiny-licious in Sugar Plum
camiller 5/14/2005 10:52:00 AM
The color is much lighter on your lips than in the tube, but I do like the sheer color, it's sticky and thick, and has moderate staying power. The worst thing I find about this gloss is the smell which is a minty chemical smell.

Liquid -Cover Girl - Outlast All Day Liquid Make-up (foundation+primer) [DISCONTINUED]
camiller 3/24/2005 7:22:00 PM
I loved the primer, it makes my skin so smooth, and the foundation was really nice - perfect coverage for me. My main complaint is the packaging. The primer part of the package comes out fine, but I am unable to squeeze any foundation out for the past week and there's alot of product left in that side. I've tried to increase the opening with scissors, etc., but nothing has worked, so that is frustrating. Other than the awful packaging, I actually like the contents! UPDATE: Okay, now the primer side got clogged so I did what any resourceful girl would do when in need of makeup, I got my handy scissors out and cut the container open on both sides and presto, lots of product, but it was clogging on both sides. So zero lippies for container, and four lippies for actual product.

Lip Gloss -Almay - WhippedGloss Pinched Pink
camiller 10/24/2004 2:27:00 PM
I usually use Covergirl Wetslicks or Gloss slicks, but I thought I would 'branch out' a bit and I purchased the Almay gloss in Pinched Pink. I ended up giving it away - the minty/chemical smell made me sick and I just didn't like the feel of this on my lips. The color itself was very subtle and nice, but I will not purchase this product again.

Styling Products -Alberto Vo5 - Straight Hair gel
camiller 10/17/2004 4:46:00 PM
My hair is naturally wavy, so I put a dab of this in my hand and smooth it into my just washed hair. I comb my hair out and let it air dry for as long as I can, then I blow dry it and use my straightening iron on the ends. This stuff makes it easy to comb my hair out, smells nice, and protects my hair from the heat - no frizz. I purchased it for $3 on sale (cdn) at my local drugstore. A tube does me forever -will definitely repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Gloss Slicks Pixie Peach
camiller 9/20/2004 7:15:00 PM
I bought this at a supermarket for $2.99. I loved it so much I went back and bought two more. This is more of a soft pink color with just a hint of peach. It is very sticky and lasts longer than the CG wetslicks (I have 3 of them). Too bad it's "limited edition" - I hope they keep them around.

Blush -Sally Hansen - Eye, Cheek & Lip Color in Mauve
camiller 4/4/2004 10:49:00 AM
I thought this would be a great product to tote around, especially in the summer. It's so tiny, and the color looked awesome, but this was a disappointment for me. The color barely registers on my face -this product is way too sheer. Will not repurchase.

Concealers -Revlon - ColorStay Under Eye Concealer
camiller 3/16/2004 6:04:00 PM
My two main complaints with this concealer? it's a bit sheer and there's not much color choice (I have ivory) so I took off two lippies for those. I like the wand applicator -I just dot on a tiny bit in my undereye circles and it blends well and does stay put. This is definitely not the worse concealer I've tried (which is Max Factor's Erace).

Conditioner -Aveda - Sap Moss Conditioning Detangler [DISCONTINUED]
camiller 3/16/2004 4:59:00 PM
This conditioning detangler is awesome - makes your hair soft and silky before you even comb it out. I subtracted a lippie for smell. Personally, I'm not a fan of the smell of most Aveda products and this one is no exception, but it does its job superbly - this was a gift, but I would definitely purchase this.
