Been using this almost 30 days, with no traditional shampoo at all. My hair seems as clean as usual, with the same bounce. Things I noticed: I dye my hair bright copper red, Usually the first shampoo (with a traditional shampoo) two days after coloring I get a lot of dye wash out, then a fair amount after 2nd shampoo 2 days later. The color just fades slowly over the next few weeks, at week three it is a reddish brown rather then copper red, and time for a redye. Usually at week 2 and 3 I have lots of visible root growth which I mask with a root colorant chalk pencil. This completely washes out in every shampoo. So must be redo daily. With HairOne, I get a lot of dye wash out on first washing, then a tiny bit every washing for about a week. Then no visible washout in shower. When using my root pencil, I notice a fair amount of color is left after washing, so not all chalk is removed. Yet hair feels just as clean, and not weighted, stiff etc. Hair color is brighter after three weeks, and though has some fading, is definitely still copper red, as opposed to reddish brown. Today I washed hair with a traditional shampoo in preparation for protein treatment and redye. There was a lot of red dye rinsing out of my hair. Normally this is not the case when I use shampoo all the time. Usually by my second shampoo no excess dye "visibly" washes out. Some is probably the root colorant also, but there was to much color to be just from that. Which leads me to believe it was dye on the hair in the shower water also. I also had a fair amount of dye in rinse water after protein treatment, normally I have very little. This is all dye, as all root colorant was washed out by then. Overall my hair looks and feels identical to when I used shampoo all the time. neither more or less "healthy" smooth, clean etc. But my color did hold up better, and I have no issues with irritated eyes from shampoo accidentally getting into them. LOL I do use minimal styling agents, typically some hair serum or smoothing cream, heat protect rant, hair spray, and occasionally some wax on ends to give the stuffier look. I daily use a blow dryer and flat iron. The HairOne removed all of that easily, with no residue left that I can tell. My hair is straight, medium to fine, medium thick, and gets weighted down easily with to much deep conditioning. Scalp normal. Hair condition is overall pretty good, even though I color heavily. I was hoping this product would also make hair look smoother with less fly aways on canopy hair (mainly due to razor cutting) but it did not make a difference at all on that. I like this product okay, and will continue to finish the bottle. Mainly because hair color fades slower. After the bottle is done I will rethink. But I don't really have any negatives associated with it, other then cost, and a bit longer shower time, though I do use it a bit different and faster then bottle recommends. So it really does not add more then a min or two onto shower.

I am one that this product works very well for. I have medium/fine long straight hair, that I dye it an intense copper/red (over grey and medium ash brown hair). I do not use a lot of heavy styling product on my hair. So no issues with removal. Just some hairspray and mousse. When I started to use this product I did notice less fading of my dyed red color. I have used a number of drugstore and Salon products to lessen the fade. For me this has been the best so far. I did not have issues with residue or coating. I wash hair about 3 times a week. he smells not bad, I wish it was more fragrant, but I can live with it.

I like to use this as a mattifier over my liquid foundation or sunscreen. I also use it as an overnight treatment on my skin, at bedtime. Similar to the Bare Essentials Rare Minerals product, but much cheaper. I apply with a kabuki brush also.

I found this to be very good. my lashs went from 6 mm to 8-9 mm and started curling up on their own. I have to trim some on the outside edge of eye, or they are to long. Took about 2-3 months to see results. I apply every night to upper and lower lashs only, and have been useing ther same tube for just over a year now, and still feel like some is left in the bottle. I do dye my lashs since tips are lighter then length. But rarely need mascara, unless I am dressing up with full makeup - they look almost like false lashs now with mascara. NEVER had that before!

Shave Products -Tree Hut - Shave Cream-Almond and Honey

Love this product, though I prefer the Brazilian Nut and the Shea Butter scents. It is not meant to be foamy, and yes it adds a light layer of moisterizer to the skin which is why I like it. My legs tend to get dry especially with a foamy product which often contain drying detergents. I do apply liberally and it works wonderfully with my Venus and Mach 3 blades. No razor burns at all for me. I shave entire leg everyday, change blades once a week. (my leg hair grows fast and course) My number one reason for loving it, I am a self tan user. And shaving lightens self tanner on your legs, as it scrapes it off. With this product my faux tan wears much better and legs feel silky. I have applyed self tanner after useing the shave cream, and it does not seem to hamper absorption or tan results at all. I get mine at Walmart

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - lips2kiss

My lips were not in “bad” shape, but I wanted more fullness. I also had problems with very dry lips at night, especially in the winter. I had to wake all night long to apply lip balm, and they still were sore and uncomfortable. I had tried all the other lip plumper’s and they either caused irritation (which is how they create the plump effect, but causing irritational swelling that’s temporary) or dryness and peeling or did absolutely nothing. I finally gave in a tried the Lips2kiss system, though it is pricy, but I figured if it actually healed and repaired my lips – not JUST temporarily fixed the symptoms it would be worth the cost. After your first kit order you get a discount code for all future orders, making it the same price or cheaper per month then other pricy lines like Lip Fusion, and more effective in my opinion, because you are repairing the lips themselves. Not masking symptoms of damage. The application system can be tricky at first, but you soon work it out. For me the easier routine was to exfoliate lips daily or every other day depending on lips condition and sensitivity. (my lips are not sensitive and used to exfoliation) Use the entire treatment system once a day, first thing in the AM after breakfast, with added heat from a bowdryer for 90 seconds if I have time. Then though out the day apply the Night glaze every 20-30 minutes or so. (The colored ones are great to replace your colored lips glosses, and I use them when I am “out”) At lunchtime after eating, I clean my lips and apply the Cream and gold and glaze again, then do the night glaze throughout the day until dinner. After dinner, brush teeth and either do the entire system with heat (if I did not do it in the AM) or just do the Cream, Gold and Glaze again. And do glaze through evening until bed. I applys like clear lip gloss. I keep a tube of glaze at my bedside, in my purse and near my computer desk and apply regularly every 20-30 min. At first I did need to apply gaze through the night, but after about a month lips were so improved I did not need to. Now I rarely apply at night as I just don’t need it. In the beginning I went through one system a month with one extra tube of glaze, but after about 4-5 months lips were completely changed. So I apply much less often, so a kit lasts me much longer now. I do heat treatment a few days a week instead of once a day now, and exfoliate a few days a week as needed. My lips are much softer, they are plumper and full, and look pouty and sexy now. They stay lush and plump all day long even if I don’t use any product on them, and are plum when I wake in the AM. For me this was a great product, and did deliver. The routine can be tricky, but the owner is VERY helpful and receptive to email and will literally walk you through it step by step if needed. Customer service and care is excellent. Oh the site is www.lips2kiss.com

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - I Feel Pretty - Gentle Cleanser

Love it - great price, good value, non irritaing, lower skin happy pH, (unlike 95% of the detergents out there) and does the job. I have used both the sensitive and clarifying ones, either is excellent for acne prone skin without making skin feel tight or increase oil production. It cleans without harsh detergents or skin oil stripping. SLS free. I do use it with a microfibercloth, or a double washing to remove heavy sunscreens or silicone based foundations. Treatments -Unlisted Brand - I Feel Pretty - Moisturizing Pearl Cream
rated 4 of 5
calicocat 9/21/2007 7:54:00 AM

This is a product I like and use, I mix a bit with the IFP clarifying oil in my hand and apply for moisterizing all over (great in winter for me) I also use it alone on damp skin. If you ever get a zit, even a hormonal one that pops up overnight. (kind I get) then slather the Pearl cream on it three times or so a day, or as much as you can. By the next day it will be MUCH more deflated – even those hugh monster ones. And will dry much faster then normal. I really like the pearl moisturizer; I have ordered a few jars now. It contains pearl and silk powders which are anti-inflammatory, refines skin, and contain beneficial amino acids. Not sure how much of those actually absorb into the skin – but it does something great based on my skins improvement. It just gives skin an overall lushness and plumpness, like younger skin. The only issue I have had is some jars have been a bit grainy, others were perfectly smooth. The smooth ones are the best. Evidently this was an issue with a few batches, but I think it has been fixed now, as my last few jars have been terrific. Usually adding a few drops of water helped, and wiping of any stray grain bits off skin after drying. The product was just as effective. I love the results of this product and will continue to use it though. Results are worth the occasional graininess I have had. The website is www.ifeelprettyproducts.com They also sell samples of some of their products on the site, allowing you to try them with little investment. I have found the customer service to be very good, and the owner is very knowledgeable about skincare and her products, and will help suggest product to you without making your feel pressured to use only her stuff. Very refreshing!

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - I Feel Pretty - Pretty Amazing Plus 2 BHA 4 AHA liquid
rated 5 of 5
calicocat 9/21/2007 7:36:00 AM

I am an IFP fan of a year or two. I had very oily skin for many many years, and always had breakouts. Always. In about one year I went from oily always broken out skin to normal combo skin, with an occasional breakout during “that time of the month”. The biggest change for me, was introduction of effective BHA/AHA products, (gone through a few brands) changing to mild cleansers, with lower pH, and milder moisturizer oils, cutting out irritant ingredients. I found these in a good formulation and great price in IFP. I also use Skin Bio Super Copper Peptide Serum, which helped to mainly for skin aging issues and healing, but I still had some acne issues, until I switched over to IFP from other lines. The BHA/AHA were key for me. I also like Paula’s Choice BHA, but it does not have the added Lactic acid AHA which is excellent for skin surface refinement, dark spot and fine line softening, and an aid to refining pores. The BHA helps clean INSIDE pores, helping keep them clear and unblocked, and helping them shrink to a more normal looking size. This product also helps other skin care products absorb deeper/better due to its exfoliation action. Paula’s Choice BHA while nice, is a higher pH then the IFP product, making IFP a “stronger” product overall in actual effectiveness. Though it is not harsh, but still mild on the skin, and suitable even for those with sensitive skin. Many who cannot use Glycolic AHAs can use the milder though still effective Lactic AHAs. I use the AHA/BHA everyday or every other day, depending on time of year. Use after a low pH cleanser, and let work on skin for 30 min for best results. I rinse face with water only in AM as soon as I wake, apply with fingertips, then go about morning routine, including getting kids to school, workout etc. After showering then I continue with my routine. (Copper peptide serum, IFP Pearl Cream Moisturizer mixed with IFP Clarifying oil, after a few min sunscreen and makeup if needed) For those looking for effective products, that are at effective activity levels, and won’t empty your pocketbook, check out IFP.
