Pressed Powders -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Pressed Powder
calibunny 5/31/2010 5:21:00 PM
I thought I would like Neutrogena because it advertizes to be skin clearing and healthy. (I've also tried the loose powder.) I really can't think of a pro right now...hmm maybe color? I tend to stay away from pressed powder because I feel it doesn't apply right to my oily skin. This goes on "chalky" like another reviewer mentioned. It really makes my skin look dry (even in areas that don't tend to get dry) and it doesn't do anything to clear my skin. Oh one pro is that it does help with the shine, but that is by drying it out. The price tag is way to high.

Mascara -Maybelline - Pulse Perfection™ by Define-A-Lash® Vibrating Mascara ] ] [DISCONTINUED]
calibunny 5/31/2010 5:10:00 PM
Well this is my first "vibrating mascara" and I am not happy with it at all. For the price and concept you would think it would work amazing. WRONG. At first it was cool and I made myself believe my eyelashes look longer but it was false. It would get really flaky and my eyelashes would fall out. Not just fall out while I'm sitting there lol. But when i seen a clump I would very lightly pull on it and my whole eyelash would come out or brake off. I have tried several clumping mascaras and this has never happend to my with any of them. I think they are selling the useless vibrator and not the product.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
calibunny 5/31/2010 5:00:00 PM
OMG!! This is my favorite mascara. I first tried it a few years ago when my sister purchased it. It makes my eyelashes thick, full and beautiful. And my eyelashes stay so soft. The only downfall is the price. I believe around $24 +tax. But IT is Dior and for how good it works it is well worth the price. Maybe ask for it as a gift for your first time. I buy my sister one every birthday. LOOOOOVE IT :-)

Loose Powders -Cover Girl - loose powder
calibunny 5/31/2010 4:55:00 PM
I hate this powder. The only times I've purchased it is when I was in a hurry and picked it up instead of Maybellines loose powder. It makes my skin even more oily then it already is. It makes the blemishes look worse and the smell is so strong that I have to hold my breath when applying it. I am not even exaggerating. The top gets loose really quick. You get alot for the price. When you first put it on it "apprears" to cover really well. But thats probably because I applied so much with the poof it was an illusion. I don't care for this at all. But everyone is differnt and you don't know yourself unless you try it.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Lineworks Waterproof Liquid EyeLiner in Black
calibunny 5/31/2010 4:35:00 PM
When I ws in highschool I could not live without my liquid liner. Out of highschool I stopped using liquid liner because I preferred more of a smokey eye look. But I WISH I knew about this liquid liner in highschool. My mom got it for my for Christmas and I've only used it a couple times but I LOVE IT!!! The felt tip makes it so easy to apply. I usally do a "cat eye" look. Start really thin at the corner then get thicker as it goes outwards. One quick brush and I'm done. The color is really black and does not crack at all. Towards the end of the day it does tend to fade, but by that time I'm already settled in ready to clean it all off. Highly reccomend this liquid eyeliner.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Express Eyeliner
calibunny 5/31/2010 4:25:00 PM
For the past couple years this has been my favorite eyeliner. I get ebony black. PROS: It goes on smooth and somewhat creamy. However it is a good creamy. I don't have a problem with smudging. It works great for smokey eyes. My sister, mom and I all use this eyeliner. CONS: The only downfall is it wears off and I need to reapply. But no big deal, it reapplies pretty well. I also don't care for the smudging sponge. I never care for those I prefer a Qtip.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub
calibunny 5/31/2010 4:18:00 PM
I love this product. I used to buy it all the time. (Then I started using Clearasil Ultra Daily Fash Wash about a year ago.) PROS: -Smells good -great price -actually worked leaving my face feeling cleaner, fresher and actually clearer (acne prone skin) CONS: It is a scrub and scrubs can get harsh if using everyday. I prefer a creme for a daily wash.

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Trio - Golden Sunset

I have several GC eye enchancer shadows. Mainly due to the variety in colors and price. PROS: -Colors look beautiful together. I get complimented every time I wear. -Great shimmer, not too overpowering or glittery. CONS: -Doesn't last too long and creases really bad. -I hate CG cases. Mine all tend to crack and brake off. -I wish they had better brushes. Maybe one side could be more like a brush then sponge like.

Crème -Revlon - New Complexion One-Step Compact Makeup
calibunny 5/31/2010 3:35:00 PM
I was actually happy with this product. My skin tends to get very oily in the t-zone so I try to stay away from cremes. However this creme goes on very smooth and actually helps reduce my shine. I purchased it in beige sand and the color works well for me. The case is actually nice, has a seperate area for the sponge. I do reccomend purchasing a bag of sponges and replacing every 1-2 weeks. However like most face makeup I purchase, it doesn't last past a few hours due to my oily complexion. When I reapply it tends to get dry in a few places. I prefer to wash my face completly then reapply. I gave it a 4 because for a creme I was impressed with how good it looked on my skin and how it covered up my shine. It only started looking greasy after a couple time of reapplying and towards the end of my day. However will not buy again because I beleive there is something better out there for me.

Loose Powders -Maybelline - Shine Free Oil Control Loose Powder
calibunny 5/31/2010 3:23:00 PM
I have been purchasing this product for a while now in medium. I will go back and forth from this to Netrogena loose powder. Although I'm not sure why I continue to purchase. I guess I'm just used to it and can't beat the price for the quanity. It's very weird. When it is brand new it works great. I have oily/dry skin. It appears to really reduce shine, however can tend to dry out around my nose and eyebrow area. (Then again I don't always apply moisturizer as I should.) But it doesn't last all day as advertized. After a few hours the shine is back and I need to reapply. Does not reapply very well. 2nd-3rd reapply it starts to appear orange on my skin. The pad wears out quick. Although it helps reduce shine it does nothing for covering up blemishes. I'm really going to look for a new powder once this one runs out. PS: The powder is missy, but I haven't came across a loose powder that wasn't somewhat messy so its forgiving. I keep the pad seperate from the actual container.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Define-A-Line Eyeliner in Ebony Black
calibunny 5/31/2010 2:48:00 PM
Pros & Cons: -I love the actual applicator. It is the perfect size and an attractive color & style. -It goes on easily and very smooth. Silky like. -So far the twist works better than any twist eyeliner I've tried. -The crayon like tip works great for me to do the smoky eyes. I only needed to draw a thin line on top of my eyelid and used the smudger to do the rest. However I have never cared for smudger tips, a Q-tip works much better to smudge. -The color is very black. I normally like black eyeliner but it is almost too "vibrantly" black for me. But the color would look great on my moms eyes :-) I checked it out on the website and it actually looks exactly as it appears on the model so thats a good thing. Result: So far this is a great eyeliner. I haven't noticed any smearing yet. But I just purchased this and have only used maybe 4 times. I have not paid too much attention to it throughout the day yet. I will update my review once I do that. I will def. buy this product in another color, the Rich Raisin & Khaki Green look beautiful.

Mascara -Avon - superSHOCK Mascara
calibunny 5/31/2010 2:01:00 PM
So this is the first product I've ever purchased from Avon. (And my first review!! ) The reviews were pretty good for the product and a price of 4.99 didn't sound too bad to try it out. Pros: -It works great for length. It might just be the best mascara I've used for length. -The applicatior tip applies the mascara on perfectly even and the right amount. -Does not flake at all or clump up. Even if applying several coats. Cons: -The tube is huge. 5 inches long and width the size of a penny. -Although it works for length, it did NOT work for thickening and volumizing like advertized. My eyelashes still appear very thin. Result: -Overall this mascara would still fall in my top 3 so far, however I prefer DiorShow mascara. It works wonders but much more expensive. I will probably not buy this mascara again though because my eyelashes are really thin and light and prefer thickening over length. I give it a 3 strictly due to the fact that it didn't do what it advertized.
