Polishes -OPI - Party in my Cabana
caiya 3/20/2013 2:19:00 PM
OPI Party in my Cabana is a nice creamy pink. Reminds me of a Barbie doll shoe pink. It is nice, very wearable but nothing particularly special. The application and wearability was decent. It is a good summer color. I wouldn't buy it again just because I think it would be an easy color to find.

Polishes -OPI - Gouda Gouda Two Shoes
caiya 3/20/2013 2:15:00 PM
Love, Love, LOVE this color! Pretty sure this is going to be my new "go to" polish when I can't decide what to wear. It looks stunning against my skin tone. I am strongly considering buying a back-up bottle. In the bottle the polish looks like a neutral dusty pink that leans towards orange with a subtle gold micro shimmer, but on the nail the pink hues are pulled out more (due to my skin tone) creating more of a dusty rose pink. The micro shimmer is really only noticeable under direct sunlight, which is what I would prefer with this color. I like that it is subtle and leans more towards a rich creamy look. The formula was very creamy and easy to apply. Two coats was sufficient. It wears quite well, I wore it a little over a week before any noticeable chipping occurred. I would definitely buy this polish again! It is neutral enough that it could be worn in any season, but not so typical that it would be considered boring.

Polishes -OPI - Casino Royale
caiya 3/20/2013 2:01:00 PM
OPI's Casino Royale is a creamy dark wine plum color. I have been trying to find an earthy red wine nail polish hue for quite some time, most polishes that OPI had put out in the past that would fall in this category I have found too watery, appeared too dark under most lighting, or were too purple/red and lacked that earthy tone too them. Casino Royale was pretty spot on, not too dark to lose the deep purple/red color, not to light so that it screams purple/red. Just enough of a brown undertone to make it neutral/wearable with almost anything. Application was pretty good. Since it is a creme it only took two coats to apply. The formula is not as opaque and rich as most of their creams. The polish has great wear. I wore it a whole week without seeing any chips. After two weeks there were some minor chips on my pointer fingers that just needed some touching up. It grows out before it really has a need to be replaced. I would buy this color again. I think it will make a good staple polish in my collection.

Polishes -OPI - Designer Series - DS Elegance
caiya 5/21/2012 11:44:00 PM
I bought DS Elegance as an attempt to find something similar to a holographic nail polish I bought at a 100 yen shop (Dollar Store) when I lived in Japan. Elegance appeared to be nearly the same color. While it is very pretty, most of the time you can only see the holographic glitter in direct sunlight. Sadly, the dirt cheap Japanese nail polish holographics were more intense. So I was a bit disappointed that one of my favorite brands was outdone. Not sure if I would buy this product again. I think other brands do have better holos and since OPI has higher prices for DS, I don't really see the point. My only other gripe with the DS is the silver handle on the bottle, it wears off rather easily making the bottle look shabby. Beautiful polish but not extraordinary~

Polishes -OPI - My Pointe Exactly
caiya 5/4/2012 9:42:00 PM
I LOVE this polish! It is such a lovely delicate shade of gray. The soft sheerness of it just makes it so subtle and feminine. I don't have a single polish like this in my collection. I like the fact that it is unique but doesn't scream for attention, it is one of the few non-neutral colors that could be deemed appropriate in many work environments. The gray is cooler in tone. It has some blueish-purple undertones. I am thinking about buying a back-up of this polish. As one reviewer said before, the NYC collection is a Soft Shade collection and therefore sheer. If you are not a sheer fan than this collection is just not for you.

Polishes -OPI - Pirouette My Whistle
caiya 4/22/2012 7:00:00 PM
I really like the unique glitter in Pirouette My Whistle. It has small silver glitter with delicate opaque whitish-silver hex pieces inside. It dresses up a nice neutral nail without being too flashy. One coat is enough if you just want a light amount of sparkle. The finish is nice and glossy as well. Wears well. Very lovely, would buy again.

Polishes -OPI - Care to Danse?
caiya 4/22/2012 6:54:00 PM
Care to Danse? is a light sheer lavender color. It was very easy to apply and I didn't have any problems with chipping. Dried quickly. This color is very sheer but gives the nails a nice natural clean look. Unfortunately the lovely purple hue did not translate at all on to the nails. It looks more like a very very light pink almost a creamy white color out of the bottle. I wouldn't buy it again just because it is not hard to find sheer pinks and nudes. Out of the bottle it really isn't terribly special.

Polishes -OPI - Bubble Bath
caiya 4/1/2012 4:08:00 PM
Bubble Bath is a sheer delicate pink color. If you like a manicure that is soft and subtle this would be a great choice. I didn't have any problem with application or chipping. It did take a bit longer to dry than most other OPI polishes. I did get the mini bottle of this color which doesn't come with the pro-wide brush. I think with sheers the wider brush really does help with even application. If I would buy this one again I would get the standard sized bottle.

Polishes -OPI - Dulce de Leche
caiya 3/8/2012 3:33:00 PM
Dulce de Leche is a pinkish flesh-tone color. Works almost like a neutral. I really like the subtle quality it has, I've been using it to cleanse my palette from all the glitters and foils from the winter season. My only gripe with this polish is the formula. It is a bit thick and therefore a tad streaky and takes longer to dry than most OPI polishes. However, the color is just so practical and yet still a quite unique cream, so I would buy again.

Polishes -OPI - Steady As She Rose
caiya 2/23/2012 10:58:00 PM
Love the shade of this dirty pastel pinkish purple polish. The color slight tint of gray/brown makes it a little more versatile. The application is a little streaky. It dries quickly so it is a bit difficult to go over some areas while applying a coat. Most of the streaks were gone with a second coat. Since the formula could be improved I didn't give it a 5. However, I would buy this polish again!

Polishes -OPI - The Muppets Collection - Warm & Fozzie
caiya 2/15/2012 9:35:00 PM
This polish is quite unique! It is an antique bronze color with a reddish-pink under tone. Very pretty to wear! Would make for a nice fall color, neutral enough to wear in most places and pairs with bronze-gold jewelry nice. Like most OPI's microglitter polishes this one is wearing quite nicely. I expect to get at least a full weeks wear out of it in near perfect condition.

Polishes -OPI - I Juggle...Men
caiya 2/3/2012 12:49:00 PM
I really love the subtle quality of the glitter of this polish. I think after a few seasons of packed and powerful glitter it is refreshing to have something of a softer note. This polish does work best as a topcoat. I haven't tried it over dark colors yet but I am sure it would be lovely. If you like glitter that is screaming in your face, this is not the polish for you. If you like a little glitter that is coaxed out gently under direct light, than this polish is what you are looking for.

Polishes -OPI - In The Spot (Light Pink)
caiya 2/3/2012 12:37:00 PM
Very very sheer, but lovely. Great if you want a very subtle manicure. Perfect for work. The polish in the bottle can be deceiving, I thought out of all the polishes in the Femme de Cirque collection that this would be the most opaque, it is in fact the least. A major plus for this sheer is the formula, most come off streaky but this does not. A good polish to have in any collection.

Polishes -OPI - Designer De Better
caiya 1/19/2012 11:01:00 PM
love, Love, LOVE this polish! It is such a pretty shade! It has tiny micro-glitters in it of various shades (silver, light pink and copper). The warm hue makes it more neutral than a flashy silver would be. I paired this polish with OPI's "Your Royal Shine-ness" (a true silver shade) tips and placed some silver and pastel pink multi-sized gitter (similar to "Teenage Dream") along the seam where the two colors meet. I had so many compliments! Would buy this polish again in a heartbeat!
