Eye Shadow -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Eyeshadow in Mocha Cup

What a horrid product. It looks so beautiful in the pan but once applied, even over primer, it is basically invisible. The color does resemble Bobbi Brown fawn quite a bit, which I already have and will stick with because of the exceptional quality. I will never EVER buy an EL product again.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Juice in Exposed Rose
rated 4 of 5

To my eye, this is a warm rose peach with slight shimmer. Smells like all other colour juice glosses and has the same round tip applicator which I hate personally. It goes very well on my NC25 skintone, it is sheer, so it just adds a nice shine and a *touch* of peach to my lips. I wish I could find this exact color in a blush, I think it would be beautiful.

IMO this is a must have! If you like nudes or need a "go to" palette for everyday, then this is it! It has a nice shimmery taupe, a pearly pink, a matte beige and a matte dark brown. All of which are very pigmented and almost creamy in texture. I love it because it gives a nice polished look for everyday.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Glossimer in Glow [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
buttercupt 6/29/2006 4:28:00 PM

Glow is a nice peachy pink gloss with some shimmer to it. It is sheer but imparts a nice "Glow" to my pigmented lips. I do like the color, I just wish it showed up more on me. It is LE from what my MA said. I would have given it a "5" if it didn't make my lips numb and tingle for the first 5 or 10 minutes after I put it on. This is the first Glossimer that has ever done this to my lips BTW.

Lipstick -Bobbi Brown - Lip Shine- Coral
rated 5 of 5

So, at my local counter they had a tester out for Coral lipshine but did not have the product avail. Turns out it has been DC for a good long time and forgot to pull the tester. So after testing it on my hand I had to hunt the sucker down cause it's a nice sheer peachy color. I find it has little if any pink tones so I don't know why it's called coral, but it's beautiful anyway. I finally found it on ebay for a steal. It is in the old "essential" packaging but that doesn't bother me, it's just a word on the outside of the tube. I would definatly buy it again and I don't know why they'd DC such a nice color. I love the lipshines, one of my favorite lipstick lines.

Moisturizers -Korres - Pomegranate Balancing Moisturizer

Ok, to start things off I am 29 years old with normal/combo skin this spring/summer (it changes drastically come wintertime so I doubt this product will be suitable then). This is one GREAT moisturizer. It's nice and light but still moisturizes really well. I did learn one thing, with this product there is such a thing as too much. If you apply too much it can make you shiny by mid day but after learning less is more, I have no more issues with it. Well, no more issues aside from the POS glass jar. What are they thinking putting it in a jar? I hate sticking my fingers into the product everyday... it literally pisses me off to think about it. I wish they'd put it into a pump or a tube. The scent is very faint, I can only smell it for a few seconds after putting it on. I have no problem with breakouts with this product either & my skin is very sensitive. I will continue to buy this product as long as it works for me.

Moisturizers -Korres - Sugar Crystal Cream Multivitamin Skin Shield
rated 3 of 5

Ok, I got this item and thought I'd use it at night only on my normal/dry winter skin. Turns out it's WAY too heavy even for that use only. My skin actually felt like it weighed 2 pounds on my face, it was SO heavy. And then after using it 2x at night I broke out. I assume that this product is just too heavy for my skin but who knows really. I love the korres line aside from this product. Maybe I'll give it another go when I get a little older and/or if my skin becomes more dry. I just don't feel it's right for my skin type. I'm sure it's a wonderful product if it suits your skins texture.

Eye Shadow -SugarBaby - Eye Candy Shimmer Sienna Storm
rated 4 of 5

I found this e/s today at Ulta and had to try it out once I got home. I was surprised to find it very smooth and quite pigmented. The color to my eye is *very* similar to Shu 945/850. In the pan it looks quite a bit warmer but applied side by side to both of the Shu shades it's very hard to tell much difference. I like the pink rubberized pkging but I wish it were square rather than circular. All in all, a really nice product.

Palettes -Stila - Warm Brilliant Palette
rated 4 of 5
buttercupt 4/15/2006 2:34:00 AM

I have purchased many stila palettes in the past & have never been happy with them & have always ended out swapping them in the end. This is the only one in 5 years that I have kept and used on a regular basis. I'm a NC20 with brown hair and hazel eyes. Works very well on me IMO.

Eye Shadow -LORAC - Reverie

It takes a lot for me to give an eyeshadow a perfect score. Especially a taupe eyeshadow because I'm such a taupe fanatic. This one is perfect in every way. It has made it's way onto my top 5 taupes of all time list. It is a beautiful taupe with a nice shine to it that isn't over the top for day, it blends nicely and has great superfine shimmer to it. I just love this color. It goes on my list with Shu 850/945, Bobbi Brown stone shimmerwash, MAC Coco pigment. A great everyday staple that I will continue to buy if I ever use it up. Wonderful quality & a wonderful price.

Bronzers -LORAC - Lorac Warm Glow Bronzer
rated 5 of 5
buttercupt 4/13/2006 9:57:00 PM

OH MY GOD!! I love this product. I would never call it a bronzer because it has no bronze tones to my eye. On my NC15/20 skin it gives a glow with slight color to produce a natural look. I hate the packaging but that could be just me. IMO this is a must have for pale ladies. I love it!!

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - The Savannah Bee Co - 100 percent Natural Tupelo Honey Beeswax Lip Balm
rated 4 of 5
buttercupt 4/10/2006 11:13:00 PM

I very much enjoy this color, it's a nice MLBB shade on me but my lips are very pigmented so it may just kick up their natural hue a bit. applied to my hand it's a nice red beige bronze that is hard to describe since its quite sheer. Smells nice, crap packaging but easy to use, no taste and a great color. I also have the peach and blackberry, but this is my favorite.

Eye Shadow -Awake - Pure Eye Color in Sphinx
rated 4 of 5
buttercupt 4/10/2006 11:10:00 PM

This is a nice olive brown shade on me. Somewhat of a golden shade. Its hard to describe, it's obviously brown, but has an olive and golden bronze sheen to it. It's nicely pigmented, smooth & easy to blend. I don't care for the packaging, but that's no big deal.

Blush -NARS - Lovejoy

LLL NC15/20 in the winter and this is my all time favorite blush. On me it gives a nice bronze rose glow that just makes me look healthy and radiant. If I could only own one blush for the rest of my life, this would be it, without a doubt.

Lipstick -Awake - Stardom Lipstick in Copper Flash
rated 5 of 5
buttercupt 4/3/2006 2:40:00 PM

I love this color! On me it is very much like Clinique Delovely buttershine but with more depth. I'm a NC20 and it shows a bronze rose color which I love. It is moisturizing, doesn't dry my lips out, sheer color payoff and shimmery. Great purchase, even for $21
