Fragrances -Avon - Luscious Temptations body mist - Sensual Sandalwood
rated 3 of 5

Calling all sandlewood, amber, woodsy, musk lovers! This body mist is one of Avon's first in the Luscious Temptation group. There are three groups. This and the Orange were the best sellers. My friends , whose style leans towards boho, just love this mist. Plus, since most of them don't work- they can afford an excellent product in a good size (5.0 oz.) that lasts as good, if not better than body mists in general.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Superstay Gloss
rated 4 of 5

Bought four of these babies- but can't tell you what shades they are in- After you unwrap them it is virtually impossible to mak out anything but the number. SO I got 330-160- 183 and one I can't make out at all.,it's a lovely dark coppery brown. I got one other earth tone- a sheer rosy and pale mocha(330). The other two are 130 or could be 180- either way it's a true pink, and the last 160 is more of a rose. They are all realy pretty on, and have good staying power for a longlasting gloss. But I still think Avon's long-lasting glosses are more rich and offer more coverage. But i will definitely buy more of these!

I love my Rare Gold. You can say what you want- no lasting power, etc., but this fragrance always gets me compliments. It's rich, you have to be careful when spraying, or you'll get to much! It's descsription is opulent oranges in precious amber. It's always on sale and the bath products smell heavenly in the shower! I get out of shower glowing! I know most of you don;t like Avon perfumes, but this one is worth a try!

Fragrances -Christian Lacroix - Absynthe

Are y'all kidding? This fragrance is unique and delightful. It was the very first Avon scent I purchased and really changed my stereotype of Avon fragrances. It's so wearable, spicy and oriental without being overpowering. Last at least 3 hrs., which is good for me. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wantinga fairly inexpensive cologne fo a great price!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze in Infinite Rose
rated 2 of 5
busterchico 9/16/2010 11:20:00 PM

While I love REvlon's Color Stay Mineral Lipglazes- this one is neither good nor all bad. For achieving a nude lip- this glaze is perfect. A hint of rose and lots of shimmer, but still very natural looking. But girls over 40- avoid this glaze. It simply is a shade for younger women. It washes my lips out completely- they look shimmery, but way too pale.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze in Lasting Shimmer
rated 3 of 5
busterchico 9/16/2010 3:49:00 PM

I just loveREvlons' Color-Stay Mineral Lipglazes. But this color washed me copletely out. When applied, it has a very pale gold glimmer. On its own- I looked like i had no lips, over a darker true lipstick, it was a nice little bit of glimmer. But I require more from my products. Don't hate it, and I can see it looking great on a much younger woman, preferably with a tan!

Lips -Maybelline - Color Sensational Lipstain
rated 1 of 5
busterchico 9/16/2010 3:43:00 PM

This stain is useless. I applied it and baraely got any color out onto my lips. It looked like old lipgloss that had lost its gloss and most of its color. Stay away from this one- waste of money. Disappointing.

Lip Gloss -Avon - glazewear intense Cherry Liqueur
rated 5 of 5
busterchico 9/6/2010 7:59:00 AM

Well, well- it seems like a few people on this site can appreciate Avon's quality in some of their products. This lip gloss is amazingly good. Avon's lipglosses come in three categories: Intense (cherry liqueur is one of the Intense), Sparkle and Shine. I own them all, in duplicate. The Cherry Liqueur is so pretty on and stays pretty well for a lip gloss. The color is vibrant and not tacky. It will, however, get on your teeth if you're not careful- So check your teeth-HaHa!

Treatments -Avon - Reversalist Serum
rated 5 of 5
busterchico 9/2/2010 1:41:00 PM

I started using the Avon regimen in the red-Reversalist in october 2009. A few months ago, I saw a lot of the young people who used to hang around our home when my son was in high school. At least 8 of the young women complimented me on how much younger I looked, and a few accusd me of getting "work" done on my face! This serum is usually $44.00 when you buy from an Avon rep. and it is worth the money. I've since discovered you can easily get it for about half of that on E-Bay. My skin does look 5 yrs. younger, which is what Avon claims it will do. I will definitely keep on using it. I am 56 years old and am told I look about yen years younger than I am! Nothing sells me like compliments from others. I admit to being vain and in the past spent a whole lot more on skin care products,. but believe that for the price- Avon is the best I've tried. A definite "must have" for gals in their 40's-50's. I found the Gold Ultimate line too moisturizing for me, but my mom loves it (and she is very picky)! Check it out and give it at least a good month's trial- I think you'll be amazed at the results!

Powder -Avon - Ideal Shade Smooth Mineral Foundation
rated 4 of 5
busterchico 8/30/2010 3:02:00 PM

I am an an Avon rep, but am 56 yrs old and have not used the minerals because I thought I needed more coverage. Had a customer not pick up the Avon Minerals and I decided to use them insteaad of returning them. I'm hooked- so easy to get right, as long as you know a little goes a long way. I definiely recommend a primer for older gals. Am going to buy some BE minerals, just for comparison, since I'm retiring from Avon(not a good company to work for). But unless the BE are 100% better, I'll buy the Avon again. It goes on sale for $7.99 every couple of months.

Skincare - Face -Avon - ANEW REVERSALIST Night Sterling Emulsion
rated 5 of 5
busterchico 8/27/2010 1:06:00 AM

I love this emulsion. It just soaks into my skin- much better than the cream was. It does leave me a litle oily in the A.m. It's definitely worth the price, $32.00, as it lasts several months if used sparingly. I hate Avon, the corporate giant, but their skin car regimens are the best for the price. They are addding another regimen for older women (65-up). Jacqueline Bissett is going to be the spokeswoman. Can't wait to try these new products on my mom. She loves the Ultimate- but the new purple product is supposed to be better for olderskin. I use the REverslist and Ultimate interchangebly as I'm 56 yrs. old. Avon skin care products are excellent buys.
