I used to just dab some concealer here and there to cover spots and then notice later in the day that my face looked splotchy and horrible. I'm not a fan of heavy powders/foundations, so I avoided using it at all on a regular basis. I decided to try Studio fix on a whim, and so far I think it is awesome. I am NC25 and it blends so easily and makes me look more polished and neat- not heavily made up. I apply it by lightly dusting it all over my face with a skunk brush, which works nicely bc it spreads evenly and lightly. Overall, I highly recommend. I know it's pretty much a "classic" so my review wont make much of a dent, but im a new fan of Studio Fix :)
Oh Dream...how many memories come rushing back with this scent. I love it so. I wore it towards the end of high school and beginning of college. One of my best friends told me she always thought of me when she smelled freesia. This perfume fit me then and still does now.The name is perfect for it...it's a dreamy, luscious scent. The name is even more appropriate to me now- 5 years later- as I sit here, sniffing my wrist and daydreaming about simpler days... Anyway, for me- scents with memories attached are so much sweeter. Whenever I wear this, I feel like I'm stepping back in time. It's lovely, and for just a little while...I'm 18 again.
Useless product. The two shades do not blend well, and have a strane yellowish cast to them that is not remotely natural. On top of this, the product itself is soooo dry that and isn't at all easy to work into your skin. Save your money and buy a better product! Even my cheapie covergirl concealer is ten times better than this!
This lipstick is so nice! It glides on so smoothly and smells like cucumber melon. I like that is has shine, too. I bought it in Ruby Luster and Cool Watermelon. I saw cool watermelon in Glamour magazine and wanted to try it out. It looked too neon pink applied alone but with lipbalm over it, it's exactly the color of fresh watermelon. So nice for summer! Ruby luster is a deep berry shade- I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do! It's an elegant shade. I got these BOGOF at Ulta, so it was a really good buy. Highly recommend this lipstick.
Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Hydro Powder Eyeshadow in Violet Visions H1

I love Shiseido hydropower e/s so much. This is my third one- I have whitelights and aqua. Violet visions is an intense purple with shimmer in the package. However, applied, it goes on smoothly like a wash and is not so intense a color unless layered. It works well under other e/s too. I love how it feels cool as you put it on- it glides nicely and evenly. It comes with a little sponge applicator, but I prefer using my fingertip to apply it. I also adore the packaging- hydropowders come in sleek, pretty little containers- fun to look at, and unique. Purple is my favorite color and I highly recommend this e/s- it's beautiful! :)
I really like this lipgloss. It's a sheer, pretty pink with the tiniest hint of shimmer- I think it is universally flattering. I don't like glosses that look too over the top, so this is a nice everyday lipcolor for me. It's simple and natural in color, perfect for summer. I do agree that the packaging could be better- the product takes a while to dispense and sometimes too much does unless you're careful. But overall, it's a very nice gloss and that's high praise coming from me- considering that I am more of a lipstick girl. :)
This is my HG e/l. I wear it nearly everyday...it doesn't smudge and it is very smooth and easy to apply. I just wish there were more of it!
THE BEST LIPLINER!! I love this stuff...my makeup feels "incomplete" without it. I never used to use lipliner much until I found this...it's very natural-looking and my lips look fuller and more polished with this liner on. I use it as a base for practically every lipgloss or lipstick I use. Or, even with lipbalm. And it's super cheap. Sadly, my Target doesn't seem to be stocking Rimmel products anymore...I found this recently at Walmart. Go get it!
I really like this polish. It makes my nails look very "clean." It is a milky pink shade. It goes on as a very light rosy pink; 2 shades gives a perfect manicure color. It looks streaky when you first apply it, but it dries pretty evenly. I am not a fan of OPI polishes really because they usually streak on me and chip very quickly- I prefer Revlon! But this polish actually lasted a decent amount of time, especially with a Sally Hansen sheer topcoat applied.
Blush -Laura Geller - Blush n Brighten Pink Grapefruit
burningembers20 12/9/2006 2:21:00 PM
This just didn't wow me at all. For one, it is too shimmery (this coming from a girl who adores shimmer) and it gives the skin a plasticky sheen. Also, the color does not apply evenly- some sections will be brighter than others. The color itself, as one reviewer noted below, is too pink. It's a garish pink on me, and not the natural flush I was going for. I also find the packaging to be dull and cheap-feeling. For the price, I would like a more sophisticated design. Overall, I think this blush is not worth the hype.
THE BEST! I love this mascara so much. L'oreal Voluminous clumps like crazy on me and looks messy. Maybelline Full 'n Soft is nice but not dramatic at all...This one is lovely! It glides on smoothly and my lashes look much longer. Huge rave.
This is why I love MUA- I find great products like this that I would normally not see. This cost a grand total of 5 bucks and is fabulous. I love the name, "Let it Snow"- super cute and I think it is a nice holiday palette. The colors are rich- taupe, gold, deep brown, purple, lilac, and shimmery white. Very suitable for everyday looks or holiday- absolutely lovely. The texture of the shadows is smooth and very blendable.
Eye Shadow -Stila - Fall in Love Eyeshadow Trio in Forest Clove
burningembers20 9/4/2006 3:38:00 PM
This is my first Stila palette. The thing I did like about it was the texture of the shadows...very soft and easy to blend. However, the thing that I did not like so much was the color of the shadows. On me they simply looked muddy and messy. I didn't get that clean, crisp fall look I wanted. The green shadow was the most disappointing...it was the most muddy-looking and it was too deep a green to not look messy. Overall...I wouldn't repurchase this.
Styling Products -Garnier - Curl Shaping Spray Gel
burningembers20 9/4/2006 3:33:00 PM
This product was a disappointment. It did not enhance my curls...in fact, it left my hair feeling very dry and frizzy. My hair also had that "residue" feel to it; so I felt like I had to wash my hair asap. While I like Garnier shampoo and conditioner, this styling product was no good.
I was looking for a fuschia gloss with no shimmer...and this is it! It is super pretty. Yes, it is bright! but that was the look I wanted. It doesn't look scary bright, though...just a pretty pink. I think it makes my teeth look whiter too. Love it!
