Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Sweet Mint

Think mint chocolate chip ice cream. That's what this tastes like to me and I love it. Tingly lips that linger for a bit after application, feels refreshing. The formula might be sensitive to temperature because when it is cold it does harden up and may feel waxy, but today on a really warm day it just melted into my lips. Either way, it's a great lip balm that does moisturize and you do end up eating some of this so best that it's organic, right?
Raise your hand if you can't stop buying pink lipsticks because they look so darn good in the tube...you've collected a large collection but most are not wearable. This bright pink actually looks darn good on the lips. I am Asian with yellow undertones, my skin tone is a light medium, most pinks look off on me. Most pinks also make my teeth look more yellow than they really are. This is a fantastic bright pink that brightens my face, leaves my teeth looking normal and looks like it belongs on my lips. So without looking like a clown or a lipstick that is so thickly pigmented that it looks too opaque...this one is worth more than the 99 cents it sells for. This is my summer lip for now.
Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Legere- bb creme white

This has a gel consistency that seems hard to spread at first only because I am used to the watery types of foundation. After I got over that, I applied it with my fingertips as I would a moisturizer (of course using less than I would a moisturizer). It spread nicely and easily. I don't need much coverage, just something to even out the skin tone. This does the job beautifully. It looks like my skin but brighter. I would definitely repurchase because it is just convenient to use with great results. I live in drier climates so I feel like this keeps my skin hydrated and I think it would do the same for winter time.
Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Sony CP Curvy Lip silicone

$16 and can be found in Japanese supermarkets or specialty shops. No tingle for plumping effect...but does make lips look plump. I have the milky pink one...I think the only other colors is beige. Feels sticky when you first apply it, but then it isn't sticky feeling when you smack your lips together...feels more greasy....weird. Very moisturizing...I love the texture...feels thick and lasts long without icky feelings. I have lines in my lips and this gloss doesn't settle in them but makes them disappear. The applicator looks like a plastic popsicle stick but I always wash my hands and apply gloss with the tip of my finger. I like this better than the usual doe foot application that touches the lips then contaminates the entire tube. I love this lipgloss and I would totally repurchase. I don't think it is that expensive because the tube is chubby and you get a lot of gloss for the $16.
Moisturizers -La Mer - Creme de la mer moisturizer

OK, so we all agree that this is very expensive. The reason I give it 5 lippies is because it works for me. Over the years, I have tried many facial products...and I always go back to La Mer. When I get an allergic reaction, and another product leaves me with gravel face...La Mer will clear it right up. When my skin looks like it needs a bit more moisture, I use La Mer and it gives me a glow. Now I am at age 32 and I realize that investing in La Mer is probably a good choice for me. I don't experiment much anymore. I stick with this one and a little goes a long way. I use it only at night because it is heavy for day use. I use it by putting a dab on my fingers, then rubbing my fingers fast and hard together until my hands get hot. This melts the product and then I press it into my face and skin and around my eyes. I don't have any wrinkles yet and I wake up with plumpy glowing skin. It's enough to keep me going with this one. ***A bit of advice*** The first few times I tried La Mer, I tried buying it from ebay...sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. If the batch isn't fresh, it might not be that potent. To get your money's worth, I suggest just getting it from La Mer directly. At least you will get a fresh batch that is potent and they offer samples with each order. Last time I lucked out cause I got a small sample of the eye concentrate which was great for day use.
I really like this color. I agree with the other poster that it is a true magenta color. It is one of the few colors that are in the pink/purple family that I can actually pull off and not look bruised. For reference, I am MAC NC25, Medium to pale skin tone. It is easy to blend and a little goes a long way. It pops really well when used with primer and reminds me of the color you would use for a geisha look. It is not a must have, but if you are looking for a bright color in the pink/purple family, I would recommend this one. This is one of the those colors that pop in and out of the CCO from time to time.
Cleansers -100 Percent Pure - Organic Eucalyptus Seafoam Facial Cleanser

I received this in a swap and it was new and sealed. I never even heard of this brand before but decided to try it since it was organic. It foams up beautifully and it leaves my skin feeling really minty and refreshed. Yes, the packaging is quite inconvenient but the product is great. I use this as a morning face wash in the shower because I don't think it is good for taking off makeup. My skin was not bad to begin with but I think this face wash has toned down the redness in my skin and my skin looks toned and feels supple right after washing. I think I will keep this as my summer face wash from now on.
Too bad this was being discontinued. I found out when I went to my local MAC store and they had the tester but none in stock. The next time I went to my CCO it was there, so it propelled me to get it. I wouldn't say this color is a must have since it is not all that pigmented. Looks prettier in the tube but when it is on, it doesn't make much of a difference. What I do like about it is that on nude lippies and lavender lippes it compliments it well without changing the color. I think this would go very well with Fashion Mews and Lavender Whip. I love it while I have it but would not go running out for a back up at my CCO.
It is expensive but the bar is big and will last you quite some time. I use it as a face mask and it shrinks my pores to nothing and they stay like that for the rest of the day. I will usually apply it on my nose and sleep in it overnight...my boyfriend doesn't mind, lol. It does take some getting used to since it is a bar shape that does not foam or lather, you just kind of wet it and whatever wetness comes off of it, you smear on your face. At first it feels like nothing but when it dries you will feel and see how much is actually on your face. I reach for this on really humid days when my face feels sweaty and congested. I broke the bar into 3 pieces which makes it much easier to use and I think it wastes less at a time.
This is like chapstick for your eyes ( or any wrinkle such as the folds around the mouth) I love the formula! I keep one by my nightstand for additional overnight moisture since it can be greasy for me. On my combination skin it tends to sit on the surface and stay greasy for hours so I use it on the weekends around the house when I am not wearing any makeup. I don't mind the greasiness because it feel so rich that I feel like I am never going to get wrinkles while I am using this. On my BF's skin it soaks right in and she has combination skin too, she can wear it under makeup and for day use. So it is hard to say how this will be on everyone. It is so convenient in stick form and easy to apply in a C shaped motion from the bottom of my brow to the corner of my eye and underneath. Great for traveling or in winter months when you need extra moisture. I find myself reaching for it 3x a day: after a shower while skin is damp, at night when I am hanging at home and right before I go to sleep. Best of all, no milia!
Gels/Soaps -Nubian Heritage - Goat's Milk & Chai Soap with Rose Extracts
burlesqueen 6/26/2009 9:58:00 PM
This soap smells so good! It smells like what it would smell like from the natural ingredients and not from artificial ingredients. I personally don't like fake vanilla or fruity scented products...it makes me gag. These soaps are very moisturizing and rinse clean and leave my skin in great condition. I want to try all of them!
I love the fact that all the soaps from this company are 100% vegetable based, No animal by products, No animal testing. Each of the soaps are uniquely scented. Very hard to describe the scents but I love them all. The best part is that my usually dry skin is not dry anymore. This is a great company that has been making natural soaps for some time at very reasonable prices. I would choose this company over other new companies who just decided to jump on the "natural" bandwagon and charge a whole lot of money for a bar of soap. ***This soap is black and the lather runoff runs black too but it leaves my skin so soft and smelling good. No surprises***
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
burlesqueen 6/26/2009 9:34:00 PM
This is the best primer I have ever encountered. I can finally wear eyeliner all around my eye and not have it smudge all day. I don't even have to use a lot and it still has staying power. My only complaint is the packaging. It's stupid. Smart for the company but bad for the consumer. So yes, I will continue purchasing this product, just like I will be cutting each genie bottle open to finish the product.
This is just one of those colors you have to have by default. Its a great versatile color with a silky consistency that is easy to work with. The pan is big compared to other brands and it is a high quality product. When I am in a rush, I take black eyeliner and smudge it on my lash line, then take some Diamond Lil and apply on the lid and blend upwards. It is like a 5 minute smokey eye that looks pretty without looking harsh. I have oily lids and I use UDPP and it does not crease on me all day.
This is the best brow pencil I have ever used! I bought the color Stone Grey which is great for black brows. It distributes color onto the brows but not onto the skin. So brows look neat, natural and not heavily drawn in. The price is expensive for a pencil but seeing how you don't have to sharpen it very often, I think it will last a very long time so it is worth every penny. I sharpen mine in regular pencil sharpener even though you could get it sharpened to a slant at a Shu Uemura counter. I personally don't see how the shape of the pencil would affect application. ***This is not discontinued...still available on the Shu site, maybe being dc at Sephora only.***
