Strawberry Margarita is THE summer nail polish for me. It looks like a classic bright pink cream polish but in certain lights it will show you a light coral undertone. The formula is as amazing as the colour. I used two coats for my mani with no issues at all. It is a great addition to any collection and a no brainer manicures when it's summer. Plus I really love the name. Who doesn't fancy a Strawberry Margarita?
Moisturizers -Bioderma - Hydrabio Riche for dehydrated and sensitive skin

I'm writing this review based on my personal experience and on my daughter's skin reaction to it. I started using Hydrabio Riche a good six month ago during winter time. I don't use it everyday but everytime my skin feels in need of a hydrating boost. My skin is pretty dry and this stuff works well at night for me. I wake up with soft and plumped skin. I also like it soon after a diy facial. It's rich and can be worked into the skin with a good massage. So thumbs up for me. I gave some to use to my daughter one morning before she set off to school. She has, fair sensitive skin and when she got back home her skin had developed a bad rash, her face was all red and bumpy, really bad I mean and it took a few days to disappear. To make sure it was caused by Bioderma, we re-applied it some days later on the back of her wrist. Immediate reaction. red and Itchy. So all in all, it works for me so far but I don't feel inclined to repurchase it when the supply is over.
Treatments -Clinique - Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle and UV Damage Corrector

I'm writing this review after a month of regular and consistent use of the serum. I was probably expecting too much, but, why has Clinique made such a big claim as to compare this lotion to a laser treatment? No way you're near any remarkable result. At the start I liked the fact that you can apply it on your crow's feet, so one product does it all, but with time, I have realised that maybe the serum is too gentle, actually so gentle that you won't notice any difference. My lines are still there and some sun damage is still shining on my face. I have pretty good skin but I was hoping for some plumping, refining effect...alas no more waiting now. I'm just looking forward to finishing my bottle and forget abot it. Really disappointing.
Highlighters -Christian Dior - Shimmer Powder 002 Amber Diamond, Spring 08

What is a beauty addict's worst nightmare? Falling in love with a product that is...sadly discontinued. That's what happened to me when I discovered the holy grail of highlighters, Dior Poudre shimmer, the universally famous Amber Diamond. I found out that, while it's still available at overseas Dior counters as Sephora US and Nordstrom, it's already been discontinued in best part of Europe but, after a frantic search on line, I was able to order it from Harrods (where else?), the famous London department store. So now that I've got it, was it worth it? In a word, yes. It is an incredibly flattering combination of shades ranging from champagne gold to soft golden bronze but what makes it outstanding is the formula. It is a very fined milled pressed powder that creates a natural sheen, never frosty or over the top, highlighting the cheeks with a subtle but definitely there glow. It doesn't darken the skin, don't be fooled, it's not a bronzer or a blush, but leaves a beautiful shimmer with warm undertones. I've been using it everyday for the last couple of weeks and it still looks brandnew, so I'm chauffed with my investment. If you can, snatch it before it's gone forever!
Yes it's a girlish fragrance, not really very grown up sexy woman, but, don't we all like to feel that way sometimes despite our age? I find it very appropriate for spring, easy to wear with pink polish and pink lipstick! Vanilla and caramel, long lasting and not very expensive. Nice to wear it a couple of times a week when you feel like flirting.
Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Expert Face Brush

Such a good morning hero to apply my liquid foundation. It works the product into the skin leaving no visible lines and it's so easy to keep clean. I find it quite sturdy and I do like the fact that it can stand on its own but I realize it can be a problem for other. If you are in the market for a new foundation brush, this one does a very good professional job. Worth having it.
I'm always on the hunt for the latest contouring technique to perfect my make up and get the illusion of a perfect facial bone structure or the best highlighter to add light to the high points of the face, so I was really excited when MAC launched a limited edition of six Sculpting Creams back in September. It wasn't easy to get hold of one of them as all the limited editions fly off the shelves on line, but I got lucky at London airport. Coffee Walnut can be described as a gray-ish medium dark brown, a very neutral shade that does not lean towards warm but is quite neutral. The texture resembles a very compact stiff cream, it has very good pigmentation and buildable coverage if you fancy more intensity. I used my fingertips to apply it just under the cheek bone but I prefer a brush to blend it, don't really like a harsh line that would make my features too severe. It dries down to a natural finish and lasts a full 6-8 hours. Good product to have if you are into contouring, but you can probably achieve similar results with less effort with the powder version which is permanent at the MAC Pro Stores.
Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Blush Brush

After the Stippling Brush and the Expert Face Brush, I convinced myself I was in need of a new bronzer brush that wasn't a kabuki (I don't like short handle brushes). So to Boots I went and with it I came back. The Real Techniques blush brush is not your average blush tool. It is a domed brush made of ultra soft taklon bristles featuring a slightly pointed tip with round chiseled sides. I find it really good for the bronzer task, it swirls around the cheeks leaving the most natural flush of tan. If paired with a good blush, it lights up the complexion as if lit from within rather than just on the apples of your cheeks. At £9.99, another good achievement by this affordable brand
At such bargain price, it's well worth having it in your stash. It provides a good even base for your eyeshadow but I wouldn't really say that it emphasize the colour. It's an easy step if you need to extend the longevity of your eye make up for a few hours, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is going to be a solid staple as UD Primer potion. For everyday, it does an excellent job. For a special day, you may want to rely on something longer lasting. Hope this was helpful.
Liquid -La Prairie - Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF15

When you pay so much money for a product, it'd better be perfect or it's not worth the splurge. Well, that's exactly my point. It's a good hydrating foundation, full coverage, nice consistency but, in all honesty... I wasn't blown away by it. The concealer on the top is quite good and long lasting and it is very conveniently placed with a good little flat brush that does a good job. Other than that, I don't think I'll be repurchasing. I actually think that it's a bit too thick and it's going to emphasize lines and I' not too keen on that. Next please!!
Nuxe Masque Crème Fraiche is a yummy smelling light emulsion which could remind some people of orange blossom gardens but that reminds me of ... pastiera, a lovely southern Italian Easter cake (we all have our own secret soft spots...). It is so delicate that it can be applied to both the face and eye contour and should be left on for 10 minutes, but... it's such a pampering step in my skincare that I usually leave it on all night. My skin feels amazing the day after, plumped and supple and its effects last a good 24hrs. The eye contour, complaining from dark nights and artificial lights, is well rested and moisturised. Total win. Truly an outstanding product, it saved my face this winter, no pun intended!
So glad I plucked up the courage to try this lipstick. The shade is a hot coral pink which looks amazing on my medium olive Italian complexion. It's not just another bright pink lipstick but quite a unique shade, so worth having it before it's gone.
Dark vampy colour, I like it a lot but then I can't wear it for more than a couple of days without getting bored with it. Not the most original but still quite autumnal and classy.
Concealers -Collection 2000 - Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer

I first heard about this product watching a Lisa Eldridge tutorial and I thought if it's good enough for her to mention it, I must really try it myself. I got my first tube at Boots in the darkest shade they had, n 3, which is still a tad light for me (Italian genes!). At Tesco I later found shade n 4, Deep, that, on its own, would be far too dark for me, but a touch of it, on top of n3 makes my perfect shade. It is long lasting and on me, it doesn't crease at all. I'm totally sold and I won't look any further for my under eye concealer. Thank you Lisa!
There's something special about this fragrance that can't be captured in words. Not for the faint hearted, it's strong, sexy and very feminine. I truly love it in winter but it's too overpowering for summer.
