Conditioner -TRESemme - Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner
buffydog15 2/15/2013 10:23:00 AM
I used this product for around a year and half, and then I strayed from it. Big mistake. My hair was very damaged and tangly, and I blamed this product instead of my bad habits. I went back to it yesterday when I realized how weighed down my curls were as compared to when I used this. I tried it again today and bam. Perfect curls. I wish I had never stopped using this! It makes my hair moisturized without weighing it down too much and my curls are perfect. I love this and will repurchase for a long time.

Tinted Moisturizer -Sonia Kashuk - Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
buffydog15 2/11/2013 9:24:00 PM
Ew. I can't believe this is the top rated tinted moisturizer. I hate this. It has obvious glitter to it, which makes my face oily, and up close it just looks fake. My face gets oily very quickly with this and I don't have that oily of skin. Not to mention, it broke me out like no other. Cystic acne and everything. Absolutely awful. The only thing I like? The packaging. That's it. It's pretty bad when the best thing you can say about a product is the packaging. Will not repurchase and wish I had never bought it. If you have oily, acne-prone skin, run far far away from this product.

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment
buffydog15 1/19/2013 12:22:00 AM
I'm calling HG on this one. Perfection. I don't know how this stuff is so amazing but it is. It moisturizes the driest lips to a beautiful smoothness overnight. It gets rid of flakes, and soothes/moisturizes skin without breaking it out. I carry tubes with me at all times. I have the world's driest crocodile hands (I blame the anti-bacterial hand soaps-- they're way too harsh!) and this makes them soft to the point of where I get compliments on it. I'm even known amongst my friends for saying "I need to use Aquaphor on that" because I say it whenever my skin is dry or itchy! It's amazing. Oh and it makes your lashes crazy soft, and one of my favorite uses (especially in the winter) is if you suspect you're about to get a hangnail or already have one, apply this! Problem solved. Definitely not just a glorified vaseline. This is perfection. I buy the huge tub for around $15 at walgreens for at home and it lasts a long time, and I use it often. I love this so much and will repurchase forever!

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue
buffydog15 1/19/2013 12:11:00 AM
So I noticed the crazy amazing reviews on here, and decided to buy this polish. The color looked kind of cool in the bottle, and then I put it on... wow. This is a totally unique, gorgeous color! I've never gotten so many compliments on my nails! And it really does wear a long time, I had it on for at least a week and a half no chips, slight wear around the tips but that's unavoidable. Love it!

Conditioner -Dove - Damage Therapy Conditioner Intensive Repair
buffydog15 12/30/2012 5:33:00 PM
Wow. After reading the crazy good reviews on here, I decided to pick this up. I went all natural on my hair about a year ago- no sulfates or silicones, and recently I stopped straightening my hair too. I did all this after reading about how bad these are for your hair. I kept on this regime and my hair started breaking like crazy. I couldn't get a comb through with out a bunch of hair breaking off. It was awful. My hair was tangly, dry, and unmanageable. I figured it had to be the constant heat, that my natural hair routine couldn't be hurting my hair. So I began wearing my hair natural, with no improvement. It was still unmanageable and gross. I figured I was just going to have to deal... Then I saw the reviews for this and figured why not. Oh my god. After ONE use of this, my hair stopped breaking. It's smooth, soft, and my curls look perfect. I love this. I wish I had never stopped using silicones! My hair loves them. This is great and it doesn't weigh down my baby fine hair (at least, not more than any other product I've tried). And for the price? Everyone should try this!! EDIT: reduced to three stars, more like 3 1/2. Great moisture but I think it's weighing down my hair too much. Back to the drugstore for me.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - L.A. Looks Styling Gel
buffydog15 12/14/2012 9:47:00 PM
I read the reviews on here after deciding it was time to give my hair a break from daily flat ironing. My hair was breaking, dry and dead on the ends... yeah. It needed to stop. So I began looking for a good gel, and I stumbled on this as a highly rated gel. I was hesitant to buy this, even though it's super cheap, because it said nothing about curls or scrunching (btw I got the sports gel, the blue one). I went out and bought it anyway and wow. I get COMPLIMENTS on my natural hair-- more than I ever did when I was straightening my hair. Not only does it make my hair look great and calms down the frizziness, it's alcohol free so I can just rinse my hair and it goes away (second day hair- yes please!).My friend uses the polish perfect one I believe and she loves it too. And the price- wow. $3 for a bottle that'll last forever. I love this stuff. If you are looking for a good gel to scrunch your hair to perfection, give this one a shot. For the price you can't go wrong.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
buffydog15 11/17/2012 1:33:00 PM
I picked this up at walgreens after hearing some good things from a friend, and my opinion is that it's just okay. It's not amazing, but it's not absolutely terrible. The coverage is like that of a tinted moisturizer, like most BB creams. I like that kind of coverage, however there are some major problems with this. It has a very dewy finish, and my T-zone did not like that. I looked very oily by the end of the day, and also it felt like it was melting off all day. Not a fan. I also broke out slightly, but I should have expected that as it is not labeled non-comedogenic. I really can't see it living up to the 8-in-1 claims, however it's worth trying if you're looking for light coverage.

Self Tanners -Jergens - Natural Glow
buffydog15 11/17/2012 1:20:00 PM
I tried this over the summer hoping for a nice, subtle tan on my NW15 skin, which is hard to do because most self-tanners look ridiculous on me. But I read the reviews and went out and bought it.. And oh my god no. It is FULL of sparkles!! There are sparkles EVERYWHERE in this product. It doesn't look natural at all! And then the color... Not for me. Maybe if you are a warm skin tone it would work better, but on me it looked yellow and gross. More like my skin was yellowing than a subtle tan. I didn't like this at all. My recommendation: It worked for a lot of people, so try it, but don't try it on your whole body. Maybe try it on a patch of skin to see if the color looks good on you, because I tried it on my whole body and regretted it. It's cheap though, so at least if you hate it, you can return it.....

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Magnetic
buffydog15 9/10/2012 9:03:00 PM
I was surprised by all the negative reviews on this product! I actually like it... I have it in Red-y Response which I actually think is a little purple-y but I think it is still pretty. The brush is nice too. The only problems I have with it are that it settles really bad-- if you don't use it for a while, it takes forever to get it to mix again. It also chips off pretty quickly but with how often I re-paint my nails it doesn't bother me. I think it is worth a shot at least...

Blush -MAC - Dame
buffydog15 12/30/2011 10:40:00 PM
This was my first ever MAC product. I asked the guy there for a good blush, and he recommended this one and showed me it on my cheeks. It looked amazing! I've tried drugstore blushes and they never really wowed me. But, this one did. And I always thought it was ridiculous to spend $20 for ONE item, but I think this was worth it. It's a light pink with subtle blue sparkle, something I have never seen in any drugstore colors. Also, the pigmentation when swatched or on your brush looks awful, but somehow when it gets on your face it gives just the prettiest glow. I love this blush!

Eye Shadow -Too Faced - Natural Eye Palette
buffydog15 12/30/2011 10:17:00 PM
I love this product. I am usually a drugstore buyer, but I decided to spend my money on a high end product for once after hearing so many good things about this. I think the colors are gorgeous and silky smooth. The matte shades make for a great super natural eye look to just even out the eyelid and give some definition. The second row is good for everyday looks kicked up a notch. And the third row of shadows is amazing too, but you can only use one of them or the look is too dramatic for everyday wear, imo. I think the little cards are kind of useless, I almost never use these shadows as directed. I guess if you were a beginner, they'd be helpful...but I don't see a beginner in makeup buying a $36 palette. I love this palette and would repurchase if I ever actually run out of this lol.

Palettes -Coastal Scents - 88 eyeshadow palette
buffydog15 12/30/2011 9:54:00 PM
Ok, I wont lie--these colors ARE kind of chalky. BUT, if you use these shadows wet, it makes all the difference. Most people don't seem to notice this, but on the website, it does say they are able to be used wet. So, I would say to you, use these shadows wet for the best look. I think the shade range of this palette is great, it has so many crazy bright colors and also some neutrals, which is a good balance. I really do like this palette, even though some of the reviewers seem to hate this palette and coastal scents as a company. But I wouldn't repurchase because 1) I don't see myself ever running out of these shadows and 2) I don't really NEED 88 more eyeshadows. Good for beginners and those who love brights.

Eye Shadow -Unlisted Brand - Profusion-Color Me Glow 12 Shades eyeshadow
buffydog15 10/21/2011 3:55:00 PM
I found this for 99 cents at my local walgreens, hidden under a bunch of halloween stuff. I didn't have high expectations but I was so happy with what I did find! The colors are highly pigmented and pretty. They are all quite shimmery, so if you're somebody who likes matte eyeshadows, pass this by. The only real downfall is they smell a little weird but it doesnt bother me. Overall, check this product out! For 99 cents, it's pretty amazing!
