Black. I am really shocked at how good this was. I had a terrible experience with one of their glitter eye pencils and wasn't expecting much. Though the container was small the stuff lasted forever! It held a solid line and didn't smudge or give me racoon eyes. I would consider this a sharpie equivalent of liquid eyeliners. The brush is also a great width and shape, allowing you to make thin lines that blend into your lash line. However, this look isn't natural enough for me so I am switching to pencils.
VERY CREAMY. Not good for summer or oily/ combination skin types. Otherwise it comes in nice colors, has a fine staying power, and comes in a convenient stick. Not good for me ,but still a fine foundation.
Definitely not for day. I also wouldnt recommend applying this near the outer corners of your eye, as the glitter will travel and the black will smudge its way out. Not what I was looking for (a concentrated clean glitter liner) but instead a grundgy scene look. Also, the glitter irritated my eyes somewhat.
Leaves a really gross film on your lips. Doesn't sink in- just sits and looks gross. Not even decent. Almost any other balm is better.
Shave Products -Aveeno - Positively Smooth Shave Gel

Great natural skin shave gel. A little goes a long way. The smell isn't grossly fruity like most and the product washes off easily. Conditions skin decently for a shave gel. Only problem is that the metal around the can rusts easily- so keep it dry. Good product, but I don't need it.
Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control

A solid product. There are better. But for the price and availability its a reliable basic. It keeps my blackheads at bay and keeps my skin fresh looking. I use it every other day. My only concern is that it is considered decently toxic according to cosmeticdatabase.com. If I could find a more natural alternative for a similar price I would switch.
First I'd like to correct that "tea tree has harmful parabens" While some of there products may have parabens. THIS shampoo doesn't. I have very oil balanced fine soft and shiny hair with decent body. When I was younger I would go through a month or two of mild dandruff (however with black hair no amount of dandruff seems mild) and this stuff did the job minus the gross smells or textures of other dandruff shampoos... I use this daily and have had no problems with my hair falling out.
My hair is very pliable with products and I can have smooth, soft, full hair using any basic shampoo. So when I tried this I was very disappointed and surprised with the results. This gave my hair more texture and made it more prone to knots. I also felt as if the product never really washed off. I have very recently switched to natural products without the silicone and harsh chemicals and have had no problems.
Skincare - Body -Vaseline - Cocoa Butter Gel Body Oil

Not a great product. 1. It is a mineral oil product 2. It takes too long to absorb and gets over everything 3. The result isn't worth the hastle I hope to find a better alternative.
My hair can be washed with bar soap and remain shiny and soft. So I very surprised when I tried this and it made my hair dull and knotted. I tried it both wet and dry many times. I think this may be one of the worst hair products for its price out on the market.
Low price by sephora standards. I appreciate the fact that its organic, but this product does nothing for my lashes. It doesn't lengthen or volum-ize as much as it clumps. It doesn't irritate my eyes and I can sleep in it without worrying about major coon eyes but it DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. I think Ill continue my search for an organic mascara-- perhaps even at a better price?
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

Depending on the look you want this product can be right or very wrong. In my opinion in covers TOO much, giving the MAC affect ( I personally like to be able to see a little texture and natural skin variants). Use sparinglyand it could be a decent product. Perhaps try mixing for better color control? I definitely would not recommend this product for summer, it would melt right off and I think its not moisturizing enough for harsh winters- so only good for moderate weather and little activity. Its an ok product, just not right for me.
Blush -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Blush in Rose Petal ] [DISCONTINUED]
bueller6426 7/1/2009 1:21:00 AM
Ignoring the fact that this blush is listed as decently toxic on cosmeticdatabase.com this blush when left open to dry is nice. I definitely do not recommend applying it with your hands as it will fix itself to your fingertips and is hard to control the amount. Applied in a stippling motion with a brush it can look very natural on all skin colors and types (my mother, my total opposite, a pale leathery skinned 60+ woman uses it as well) However, I wouldn't buy it again because of the ingredients.
Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation
bueller6426 7/1/2009 1:16:00 AM
I consider this to be almost as good as bare minerals powders. However, I do suggest you get 2 or 3 sequential powder colors and mix them yourself. Also, the brushes bristles are too close together I suggest you use your own larger less concentrated brush. Note: Use this sparsely. (Powders in general can make you look ashy if you don't)
I was very pleasantly surprised by this product. I had spent lots of time researching the best drugstore makeups, only to walk through the target beauty isle and grab this gem on impulse. ( I had heard good things from a light haired picky friend that the smart shade foundation had worked well for her and I was curious) The color at first was very strange but it adjusted to y coloring and covered my acne spots all day in the sweltering Texas summer. I am excited to try the foundation! Be aware this is not good for covering very dark spots or large areas. I consider this good for acne spots or small red abrasions.
