Treatments -La Prairie - Cellular 3-Minute Peel

This is nice! It is the only exfoliating product you need to use if you own this or buy it. In fact is advised that you do not use any other scrub or mask or peel. So it's definitley beneficial in the fact that you can declutter your bathroom! This works really well. Leaves skin like glass with no irritation. Sometimes scrubs can be irritating so it is nice to use a product that is purely chemical exfoliation. I felt that this really deep cleaned my pores and left my skin very clean and clear. This is definitley something I would buy again, I may do so and eliminated all other scrubs and masks! PS, it comes with a brush but don't use that it just wastes product sue a spatula and apply it with your fingers.

Toners -La Prairie - Cellular Refining Lotion
rated 2 of 5

This left a film on my face that I did not like. I know it says it leaves a hydrating film on the skin, but it was just so sticky. The glass is very nice and luxurious, but the product was just so so, it may be nice for someone with drier skin, but I still think it would leave an unpleasant film. This wasn't irritating though, and it is alcohol free so that is nice, but I just wasn't a fan of the tacky feeling it left.

Moisturizers -La Prairie - ADVANCED MARINE BIOLOGY DAY CREAM SPF 20

Gross! Sticky and stinky. If you want your face to look like it was coated in oil, go ahead and buy this. It smells awful. The website described this as a cream-gel. This is not true. This is a thick greasy cream. Nothing special about it. I wouldn't know of any benefits this gives because I returned it after two days. The night solution is a different story, but this day cream is no good. I can honestly say I don't think this would agree with anyone. Even someone with dry skin!!

Toners -Sisley - Botanical Grapefruit Toning Lotion
rated 2 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:52:00 AM

This is not worth the amount of money is costs. It doesn't do anything special either. It doesn't help with acne or oil control. Sure it makes your skin feel fresh and clean but not $98 worth of clean. There is no reason to buy this toner. You can get the same/better results from almost anything else.

Cleansers -Sisley - Buff and Wash Botanical Face Gel
rated 4 of 5

This is a very nice gel cleanser/scrub. This does not foam and contains grains that are pretty strong. They are also pretty large which I like. I will say that this is not worth the $115 though. But i Just wanted to experience a very "high end" product. It was nice while it lasted, but I wouldn't buy again! CRAZY.

Treatments -Chanel - Purete Ideale Serum Intense Refining Skin Complex
rated 1 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:44:00 AM

Nothing intense about this. Well maybe the fact that it gave me cystic acne. That's about it. Leaves your face drab and matte for about 30 minutes, then the oil comes rushing through. Nothing oil controlling about it. This product is a joke. I found it fascinating to have a serum for oily skin, but this doesn't do anything it says. Don't waste your money on this perfumed serum.

Treatments -Kate Somerville - Anti Bac Clearing Lotion
rated 2 of 5

This just didn't work for me. It really dried my skin out and didn't really clear the minor acne that I did have. In fact it gave me a few whiteheads. I dunno, something in here cancelled out the power of the benzoyl peroxide. I was looking forward to replacing my perscription with this but it just didn't work out. Also didn't like the lotions grainy texture, this is due to the "encapsulated" benzoyl peroxide. Leaves a strange film on the skin as well.

Treatments -Kate Somerville - Exfolikate
rated 5 of 5

This is my HG exfoliator. I will not ever find a "scrub" this effective. It is amazing. I use it in the shower rub it on and wash my hair and body and rinse it off. It melts the dead skin off so easily. It really does bring the glow back to your skin. It is best to use in the shower so the steam can activate the chemical exfoliants in the product. Leave it on for about two minutes as well. Its awesome. It is very strong though. I have super sensitive skin and the first time I used it, I left it on too long and my face was red for an hour or so. But now I have built up a tolerance to it... really superb product. Also this is now packaged in a tube and not a jar, so it is super convenient.

Moisturizers -Perricone - Skin Clear Hydrator
rated 1 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:34:00 AM

This is very watery which I like at first but then I applied it and it was deceiving. It is super hydrating to the point where it can make skin very oily. I have used moisturizers with tons of oil and they have left me more matte that this one which is oil free. Also gave me pimples on my chin. I have retried this several times to make sure it was this product and it was. Each and every time I broke out in the same area. I really wanted to like this, but it's just not for me. I will say this hydrated very well and reduced some redness from dehydration...

Cleansers -Kate Somerville - Detox Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:31:00 AM

I do LOVE this cleanser. It smells good and gets my skin nice and clean. It's not extraordinary but there are some good ingredients, whether they are at accurate levels to work or not I don't know... salicylic, glycolic and lactic acids. Foams up well and doesn't dry the skin. Ive bought this at least four times. My little sister swears by this for her acne control along with the acne back lotion. Her skin is flawless.

Toners -Kate Somerville - Clarifying Treatment Toner
rated 3 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:28:00 AM

This is alright. I did not notice any effectiveness regarding acne treatment. I do like that it doesn't have alcohol, but to me it was an unneeded step in my routine simply because I didn't think it did anything. If you MUST use a toner, this is a nice one regardless of if your acne prone or not. PS. My mom bought this and tried it and she said her skin was the oiliest it's ever been and this was the only thing she altered in her skin care regimen. I didn't experience this problem though.

Scrubs -La Prairie - Essential Exfoliator
rated 2 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:26:00 AM

This is HUGE, keep that in mind. But there are a few things wrong with it if you ask me. It's exfoliating property is apricot shells, which isn't good for skin anyway and is the same thing found in St. Ive's which you can buy for three dollars. This is creamy and I have oily acne prone skin. I do not want my scrub to leave a film on my face and this does, no matter how much I rinse. This doesn't do anything for clogged pores. But it does make skin soft, partly because of the oily residue that it leaves. It exfoliates well, but I prefer to not use an exfoliator with apricot shells in it.

Treatments (Eye) -Chanel - Sublimage Eye
rated 4 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:21:00 AM

No matter how hard I try, I cannot find an eye cream as creamy and hydrating as this. Every eye cream I try irritates my eyes, this does not. I am sure this isn't worth $200 but I like it and I buy it once every twelve months so in the long haul the price isn't an issue. I like to think this is delaying the signs of age by simply providing hydration, it also contains a peptide or two so that can't hurt. Cannot comment on the anti-aging properties because that is not my focus. But if you want hydration and no irritation this should be a safe bet.

Liquid -Clinique - Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup
rated 5 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:17:00 AM

This is my HG foundation. What I love most about this is it doens't contain the irritating silicones that break my skin out. Every foundation on the market does and I am so glad this doesn't. It has my perfect shade, (fresh alibaster) it covers well, doesn't break me out, is virtually undetectable. Most people think i dont wear makeup anyway and they are shocked to know i wear foundation. Applies seamlessly with a brush or with fingers. It's pretty cheap if you ask me, $24.50, Neutrogena runs about $9-$11 these days anyway so why not go up another ten bucks. I hope they NEVER quit making this! I never stick to a product, and I have bought this twice. That tells you something.

Cleansers -Chanel - Gel Purete
rated 5 of 5
buddy655 11/8/2010 3:12:00 AM

I have rebought this several times. It is a nice very concentrated gel cleanser. In fact I haven't come across another cleanser as concentrated as this. What i mean is that you really do only need like a teardrop amount for it to foam like crazy. I found this ends up being the same price as a drugstore cleanser in the long run, because I can use about 3 or four drugstore bottles compared to one bottle of this! It cleanses well, leaves skin nice and soft. It is a little drying, and the Chanel girls at work cannot use this to clean their brushes because they said it dries out the brushes! This doesn't control oil or anything (no cleanser can) but it is a nice product.
