Conditioner -Finesse - Moisturizing Conditioner

Over all I am impressed with this conditioner. I've always used "salon" detanglers in the past but this suprisingly works well. I have medium thick wavy that is highlighted. I was looking for something to replace my usual Redken curl conditioner and was tired of paying $12 for a small bottle that lasted me a week. This conditioner works very well. Tip: don't use too much on your hair, just what you need otherwise it can been leave hair too heavyily conditioned and limp, especially if you are using a moisturizing shampoo. I'm on my 4th bottle and its worked out great. I really don't mind the size since I was used to small salon sizes. This lasts me about 3-4 weeks used daily. I love the smell but I'm one of those people who loved frangrance in everything.

Moisturizers -Signature Club A - advanced formula 5 essentials creme

I was all set not to like this cream because of all the hype on HSN every time it's presented. But, I do like it! I have the Vinoplex formula which is the newest ingredient added to this cream. I also didnt expect to like the smell, which is sort of grape-like. The eye cream which is on top of the jar, is just "ok" and did dry out my under eye the first time I applied it, then my skin improved. I would say both the eye and cream would be for people who need a little moisture boost and not for dry skins. It is a very light moisturizer and the texture is very silky, which did impress me. Not greasy at all, and although I have oily/combo skin, didnt prevent breakouts but at the same time didnt cause any either. I would say this would also be good to travel since the face and eye cream are all in one. Good value for the amount, 4.5 oz size! I got them on sale, buy one, get one free, 2 for $24.

Liquid -Urban Decay - liquid Surreal Skin

I really like this foundation after consistantly using for 3 months now. I like the easy packaging of a tube foundation and mine doesnt leak. It does smell like sunscreen but the smell has diminished since I've opened the tube, The sunscreen smell does linger *some* during the daytime so if fragrance bothers you, I wouldnt get this product. I apply this with a non-latex sponge and I think the coverage and color, "Illusion" are a good match. Perhaps the application yields different results, brush, fingers, sponge etc. The price was more than I usually spend on a foundation, $20 something, but I do like that it looks pretty natual on, has the SPF 15 and is lightweight and does not break me out on my oily/combo/sensative skin. Will repurchase.

Hair -Framesi - Biogenol Moist In Leave-in Condition

I have been using this product faithfully for over a year. I have very thick, curly/wavy hair that is highlighted twice per year. I know its supposed to be a leave in conditioner, but I always rinse this out of my hair. I can still comb through my hair which has been impossible with other conditioners. It leaves my hair light feeling and not weighted down and natural wave still comes through. I've been using it for quite some time so it works for me very well.

Cleansers -Serious Skin Care - Glycolic Cleanser
rated 1 of 5

I wanted to like this product after hearing all the good reviews. However, it stung my skin immediately after apply it. Plus it also said to leave it on for a few mins for a more deep clean? I wanted to wash it off ASAP! Also you apply this to a dry face and use a wash cloth to get it off. I prefer wetting my face and a cleanser that foams or suds up, but that is a personal preference. I have oily/combo skin which is prone to breakouts so I thought this would work. It also dried out my skin as well after using for 1 week day and night. I also didnt care for the smell and like another reviewer said, it did smell oddly like Elmers glue. I've also tried other Glycolic items in this line and they simply burn my skin too much to reccommend. Will not repurchase. Have found Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti- Wrinkle Anti Blemish cleanser that works for me!

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle Anti Blemish Cream

I've been using this for 2 weeks now night and day. I like the fact that it dries to a matte finish while some oil free moisturizers can seem a little sticky or wet on. So far its doing a good job keeping away break outs on my oily/combo skin. I wake up in the morning and my skin does look smoother and more rested. I also use the matching cleaner which is also working out well. The name says what it does. Cons: I was suprised this runs $13-$14 at Target and other discount drug stores which is almost in line with some dept. store brands. I will repurchase though.

I've been using this as my only eye liner for the past 15 yrs which really makes me sound old! It goes on smooth and lasts all day. I always buy Espresso. Its been an old standby. But, I recently discovered Origins eye liner and I'm afraid its time to move onto new and better eye liners. If you like this one, try the Origins one!

Ok, I've finally found a replacement eyeliner after using L'Oreal's Kohl eyeliner for the past 15 yrs. I've made the switch to this one. Love it! Goes on smoothly and its easy to apply without being too soft or hard. As you can tell, I've hung on to my old eye liner for much too long, but glad I've found something that works better. I bought the dark brown shade.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
btlady 5/6/2003 12:19:00 PM

So far I really like this cleanser. I have been using it day & night for 2 weeks now. It does leave my oily/combo skin a tad tight but nothing unbarable. I do follow up with the Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle-Anti Blemish mulit vitamin moisturizer and my skin feels good. So far it has cleared up my skin from a stick foundation experiment gone bad. The only things that bother me are the smell, it has a lot of fragrance, sort of a spicy-clean smell and I generally like fragrance in general, just maybe tone this one down. Also the top is a screw off plastic type, it should be a flip type round one not oval which is kind of akward. Also, when the cleanser comes out of the tube I swear its like silly putty because I can toss a small ball between each hand and its hard to mix it with water for a good lather. The directions say to squeeze some out of the tube and apply on wet face, but I did that and the cleanser came right off into the sink. But, once you are able to lather it up, it does a fine job. Price is ok too. Target had it for around $6-$7.

Foundations -L'Oreal - Quickstick Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
btlady 5/6/2003 12:08:00 PM

I really wanted to like this product. Actually, I like it, but my oily/combo skin doesnt. I wore it every day for 2 weeks and my skin started to break out in fine bumps on my forehead, chin, and sides of my face, nothing drastic but none the less very annoying to try and treat each night to clear up. Perhaps its the long wearing effect that caused the breakouts? My face was shiny around my T-zone by lunchtime as well. I will still use this as an under eye concealor though. I did like the silky texture and packaging though. I am still on the seach for another "stick" foundations if anyone has other suggestions. Darn!

Toners -Serious Skin Care - Balance Glycolic Toning Spray
rated 5 of 5
btlady 3/11/2003 1:02:00 PM

I bought this in HSN's "Shine Free" kit last Summer. They now offer the "Unplugged" product instead of this one in the current kit. Not sure what the difference is since the product descriptions are similar. Anyway, this product really keeps my oily/combo skin clear. I do notice a big difference if I do not use it for a few days (breakouts). It can be used twice per day after cleansing and does a good job removing dirt (which I can see) and oil from your face. It's also is not harsh like some toners and does not dry out your skin. I like to spray it on a cotton square and then sweep it over my face. I think the directions say to spray directly on your face, but the spray goes everywhere then. Cons: has a tea tree-herb type smell but it just might be my preference. Have repurchased again.
