Palettes -Coastal Scents - Ultra Shimmer 88 eye shadow palette

Love love this palette. Its shimmery and just beautiful. I don't know why people are saying its too shimmery and that its chalky and cheap. Personally i think the quality is just as good as high end brands. Yes it is shimmery thats because its an ultra shimmer palette. I also have the original matt palette which is beautiful too but i find i'm a sucker for shimmers and i don't suit matt eyeshadows. If your thinking of purchasing both palette than seriously go for it, it is not expensive at all when you think about how much colours you'll get. Both palettes are very similar to each other as in set up and variety. But when compared the texture is different and the colours are different to each other. I'll pick up a purple from each palette which is smiliar to each other but yet when swatch they are completely different. They are excellent in working together with different textures, if I'm using my shimmer palette on my lid, i like to use matt white from my original to highlight The area under my brow. sometimes i would use matt black or brown to deepen my crease. And it works perfectly. I would not use the shimmer palette for my whole eye because than i would look like a disco ball. That is properly the reason why people say it looks like cheap kids makeup. And the secret to prevent eyeshadow fall out is to use a base whether its urban decay primer, mary kay eye primer and even nyx milk shade stick. And to pick up the colour little at a time instead of loads. I love these palette and highly recommend it. Even though i purchase this for $54 bucks because i'm not from the states i still find it totally worth it.
I'm always out searching for foundations that would help cover my imperfection such as redness, blemishes and scars from teenage acne. I heard so many good things about Mac products so once day decided to give it a go. Living in Nz, Mac products are usually twice the price or tripple the price. So it is very expensive. I brought my foundation in Nc40 for $77 NZD. Firstly I love the packaging and thought its very convienient and clean, I don't have to waste product as i tend to with other foundation such as Revlon colorstay. NC40 match my asian skin perfectly and i loved it, it covered imperfections and covers my scars. That is until a few hours later, it would go cakey and made my face so oily and the foundation wasn't even there on my face after no more than 2 hours. I even tried a face primer and that did nothing. Very disappointed for a mac product and more dissappointed that i wasted that much money on something that doesn't even last long. However it did not break me out but for the reason for being so pricy and crap lasting power, i will not be purchasing this again.
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color Riche Star Secret Aishwarya Beige

This lipstick is such a pretty beige nude kind of colour. makes you look very natural if your planning to make your eyes dramatic. It does have a fragrance to it but it doesn't bother me and i actually think its sort of nice. The lipstick makes your lips very moist. The downside to it is that the colour has no lasting power. It fades easily just like any other lipstick so you would have to keep on applying which can be annoying. In NZ these cost around $24 a pop so it is quite pricy for a lipstick that does not have staying powers and is a drugstore brand. I gave it a 4 rating since it is actually a really nice nude colour and i love it. Will purchase it again because of the colour and texture.
Mascara -Almay - One Coat Nourishing Mascara Triple Effect - Waterproof

Alright so i needed a new mascara, so i was stupid enough to decide to try Almay one coat nourishing mascara tripple effect in waterproof. On the packaging it says 3 things that this mascara does and that is thickening, lengthens and curls. Sounds like the perfect mascara?, well apparently its not. Not only does it smudges and gives me panda eyes but also pull down my eyelashes instead of keeping it in curls. I'm trying to like it and thinking tat maybe i applied it wrong but sadly no. In NZ this costs $25, which is expensive for a drugstore product. I would not repurchase this again and would not recommend this to anyone who wants thick, long and curled lashes and does not want smudges. I gave it a 2 rating due to the reason it is pretty black and is hard to wash out.
