Cleansers -Ponds - Clean Sweep Cleansing and Makeup Remover Towelettes

I was not crazy about this product personally. I love Clean and Clear's wipes and I had problems with the Neutrogena (the original, just tried the oil free and I love them). When I finished my Clean and Clear wipes I decided to try something new and came across these. They are extremely moist and smell okay but they aren't fantastic at taking your eye make up off, i.e mascara and eyeliner. I had to wipe for a very long time in order to just get a bit of eyeliner off (no mascara that day) and it stung my eyes. I think these would be good for people who just want a little refresher throughout the day, since it does feel good against your skin, but not for people who want something that will remove ALL of their makeup with ease.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Phloof! (frost; Hollidazzle)
rated 5 of 5
browneyedgrl317 5/6/2010 12:21:00 AM

Love love love this shadow. I can not believe I only recently purchased it. Phloof is such a beautiful shade. It brings a nice pop to your look. I used it on my mom as a highlight (she's around NW20 range possibly a bit lighter) and it looked gorgeous on her. I'm an NC25 and loved the way it looked on me as well. Everyone always raves about Shroom, but I definitely think this is the way to go. Its definitely tied with my beloved Ricepaper eye shadow.

Mascara -Fusion Beauty - Lash Fusion

I can not believe the reviews for this mascara, honestly. I'm a mascara fiend, and I'm always trying to find the best one and this one definitely takes the cake. You can actually feel the brush gripping your lashes and extending them as your applying it, it's amazing. Usually I use a curler, but I do not need it when I use this mascara. It gives me everything I want and need in a mascara and more, I have curl, volume and definition. The only down side was the price, but I will find a way to look past it. Definitely buy it if your considering it!

Primer/ Corrector -MAC - Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50
rated 1 of 5
browneyedgrl317 12/15/2009 3:34:00 AM

I had just finished my bottle of Prep and Prime Skin, which I loved, but opted for this one since it has the SPF. What a waste, and I hardly find myself saying that when talking about products from MAC. It has a peculiar smell but, that isn't even what I had a problem with. It was somewhat thick, not the same consistency as the regular Prep and Prime, but I understand that that must be from the SPF. I also find myself having to use more than I would with the good old non-SPF one. At the end of the day when I first used it, I took off all my make-up and noticed dry spots on my face. At the same time I purchased this, I began using a new moisturizer, and I refused to blame my beloved MAC, so I stopped using the moisturizer. Days later and with continuous use of this wretched primer, my entire face feels so dry. I will definitely not re-purchase. In my opinion, I think the price was fair, exactly what you would expect. I wasn't to keen on the packaging though, I would have preferred to it be a pump. Not everyone has the same reaction as I had, but if you're planning on purchasing this, consider asking for a sample beforehand.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Makeup Dissolving Foaming Cleanser

I am CRAZY about this product. I bought in a rush in Target, it was the first thing I saw in the isle. It's so soothing and gentle against your skin and eyes! I was afraid to open them because I thought it might sting but it definitely does not! It takes off all you're makeup with ease. Like others have said all you need is about 2-3 pumps and you're good to go! Fabulous product!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
browneyedgrl317 9/5/2009 12:25:00 AM

I actually have nothing to complain about this product. I have acne prone skin, the first foundation I ever tried was Bare Minerals and it completely broke me out after about two weeks and I noticed that after a few hours certain parts of my face looked sort of yellow. Well I decided to try out a MAC foundation (regardless of all the negative reviews I've heard and read) and I'm in love. I've been using it for more than a month now and I have yet to find anything wrong with it, no break-outs, absolutely nothing. Although it did not come with a pump, I ordered one off of their website and it is an excellent pump. Definite re-purchase!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Dazzle Glass Roman Holiday
rated 2 of 5
browneyedgrl317 9/5/2009 12:05:00 AM

I've heard so many reviews online of MAC's Dazzleglasses, so I decided to finally purchase one or two. So I checked out a few online and went to my MAC counter the following day, I wanted Roman Holiday because it was so gorgeous online and Bare Necessity as well. My counter only had the latter, which I actually adore. So a week or two later, I was purchasing some things off MACcosmetics.com and remembered Roman Holiday. Complete waste of money, "medium brown coral with pink pearl" is the description online but that is not what you get. I see no color when I apply it to my lips, just loads and loads of glitter. Although I love the texture of the Dazzleglasses and I love how long it stays put, I would definitely not re-purchase this one.

Misc Beauty Tools -MAC - Foundation Pump
rated 5 of 5
browneyedgrl317 9/5/2009 12:02:00 AM

I bought my Studio Fix Foundation and completely forgot to purchase a pump as well, so I immediately ordered one offline. This may sound ridiculous, but it is a very excellent pump! It lets you distribute the EXACT amount of product you want or need. Unlike other pumps, where just one soft pump ejects a huge amount. After you've applied you're foundation and you think you may need just a bit more, it's so simple to extract only a tiny amount. Works very well, well worth the extra few dollars!

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto
rated 5 of 5
browneyedgrl317 9/2/2009 4:42:00 AM

I love this mascara, and while yes it does have a peculiar smell, it's not unbearable. You only notice when you're first applying it, it's not as though you smell it all day long. But the smell comes from the collagen, and the best mascaras I've used are ones that have collagen. I love the results I get, long fabulous lashes. Definitely worth it, highly recommended.

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Rubenesque
rated 1 of 5
browneyedgrl317 9/1/2009 6:09:00 AM

I bought this at my local MAC counter without swatching it because I had watched so many videos where people simply raved about it. Big mistake. I absolutely hated this product. For reference, I am an NC 25, but I did not like this paint pot at all, even when I swatched it on my hand. When I applied it to my lid, I saw absolutely no color, it looked as though I had just caked on a lot of glitter. I was greatly disappointed, I wanted a nice peach shade, the description so many have given it, or like the swatch on the MAC website. I took it back right away and exchanged it for Painterly, the MUA even told me that all of people don't like Rubenesque because of how glittery it is. This did not work on me, but it obviously works on many others. So if you're planning on buying it, make sure you swatch it first, so you know exactly what you're getting.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - All-In-One Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes
rated 4 of 5
browneyedgrl317 8/26/2009 10:30:00 PM

I've been meaning to buy the MAC wipes for quite some time, but decided to try cheaper products beforehand. I can't seem to find a good remover (one that takes off my eyeliner without much effort). I personally like to stick with my Johnson's baby wash, but I was in my local supermarket a few days ago, and came across these, they were actually at a discounted price for $3.99 for 25 wipes. That night I decided to try it out. To be perfectly honest, I thought it did a wonderful job. It took off all my makeup with ease, and as someone else has said, each wipe is such a good size, only one does the trick. I'm talking about, foundation, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. Great product. I gave the price a 2 because I am going by the usual retail price, which on drugstore.com is $7.99. I'm actually not sure whether I will buy this product again, because of the price. At MAC, you get 100 wipes for $26, you would have to buy four packs of the Neutrogena wipes to accumulate that amount, which would come out to $32. Unless I could find the wipes at the same price I recently purchased them for, I will not repurchase.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Smoke & Diamonds [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
browneyedgrl317 8/21/2009 1:50:00 PM

I have "Smoke and Diamonds" from the first Starflash collection and it's such a great shade. I'm going tomorrow to my MAC counter and buying another one cause I am constantly using it. It's a wonderful light silvery grey, that definition doesn't give it any justice. You could pair with just about anything and it will look amazing.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Ricepaper Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
browneyedgrl317 8/21/2009 1:45:00 PM

This was one of my first shades from MAC, and more than a year ago it broke, I forgot all about it and never replaced it. Then one day I stumbled across a video on how to repair broken shadows, I am so happy I remembered about this shade tucked away in my makeup drawers. I completely forgot how much of a wonderful color this really is. Honestly, I've seen so many people recommend "Shroom" more than anything as a highlighting shade, but I love this one much more! I don't know, maybe I'm just being bias?

Eye Shadow -MAC - Handwritten Matte2
rated 5 of 5
browneyedgrl317 8/21/2009 1:34:00 PM

This has honestly become one of my staples in my collection. Don't be fooled by how light it looks online, it is very dark in person. When I finally received it, it was definitely not what I was expecting. But I love it, it blends so so easily and really is a wonderful shade. I usually pair it with Naked Lunch or Satin Taupe, but it is so universal it can pretty much go with anything. And honestly, just a tiny bit goes a long way. I won't have to replace this for a very long time, a very good investment!
