I like this stuff, as I don't wear foundation most days, and this evens out the complexion without making me look fake. It is a bit oily, but my main problem with it is the cost. Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative? Thanks!

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Antibacterial Gentle Cleansing Bar

Dermatologist recommended this to me for body breakouts. I have been a convert ever since. Especially in summer, I would not use any soap but this. Not at all drying, but keeps me from breaking out along bra straps, etc. Re: packaging: does it really need a plastic wrap and a box? Seems like a bit much.

Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Vanicream for Sensitive Skin SPF 30 and SPF 60

My dermatologist recommended this to me as a high-SPF face cream that wouldn't break out my skin. It was WAY too heavy for me. Would maybe be good for the beach, but not for every day. However, I gave it to my mom (she is 63) and she loves it. Aside from age she has always had drier skin than I do (oilies come from my Dad). She loves this stuff, and the price is good for the quality. She said that in the sun the smell is pretty bad, which I never noticed.

Moisturizers -Cerave - Facial Moisturizing Lotion - AM SPF 30

My dermatologist recommended this to me because most moisturizers I found didn't have an SPF above 20, and those that did made me break out. I love this lotion. First, the price is great for the quality. Second, it doesn't make me break out - even in summer!!! I am so relieved to have 30 SPF on, and it doesn't feel heavy at all. I also bought the PM lotion, but in the summer I don't usually use night cream. In winter it was also helpful - no morning breakouts after wearing it all night. Lastly, the pump has a setting to turn it off (does that make sense), so I can carry it for the road! And I think its 3 ounces for flying. I have not noticed any scent in it, which for me is a plus.

Fragrances -Hanae Mori - Hanae Mori Butterfly EDP

I am reluctant to turn people on to this scent, as I had to give up "Angel" when I smelled it on too many other people. Anyway, Butterfly is much lighter than Angel. It has a sweetness that I love and also a vanilla tone. However, I love light, citrusy scents and Butterfly is not too cloying for me. I will say that in order for it to stay all day, I have to wear the lotion or cream, which are also pricey. But I'm hooked. I bought a rollerball of Butterfly, which is cheap and convenient to carry in my bag. I hate to be cliched, but to me the best review of it is my friend's husband chose it for her as his favorite. And to be honest a straight man liking my perfume is what I am aiming for. I tried alternating with Ralph Lauren Blue until my friend Greg (straight) said "Blue" smelled like his Grandma. Now Butterfly is my every day scent.
