BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
brooke2010 6/12/2013 10:06:00 PM
I have changed my mind a million times about how I like this product, but after trying several foundations and bb creams, this has to be my favorite, and mostly because of how beautifully it blends into my skin! It's sheer enough to where the color doesn't have to be exactly spot on to look good, which is awesome! It does leave me shiny throughout the day, but if I set it with powder, I'm usually fine. I don't usually have too many blemishes I need to cover, so this bb cream is perfect for my skin type. I have and will continue to repurchase!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous in Carbon Black
brooke2010 6/11/2013 3:26:00 PM
I guess I'm one of the few who doesn't like this mascara! Almost all of my friends use and love this, but when I bought my own, I was not impressed. My main complaint is that when I wear it, it seems to really weigh my lashes down, if that makes sense. I curl my lashes several times before applying mascara, and the second I put this on, they're straight as a board and weird looking. I don't know why. The color is great, but the formula is a little too wet for me. I won't be buying this again.

Primer/ Corrector -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Primer
brooke2010 6/5/2013 3:45:00 PM
As of right now, I really like this primer. It's perfect for summer, when the thought of wearing and sweating off foundation makes me cringe. I just use a moisturizer, this, and top it off with pressed powder. The primer is very siliconey and smooth, which is what I wanted. It goes on nicely, but don't use too much, or it'll kind of slide all over your face. You also have to let it sit for a second before applying powder or it'll slide. But other than that, I like it. It's nice and light, and (fingers crossed) I haven't had any breakouts from it yet. Hoping I continue to see these results because I don't wanna spend 20 bucks on too faced's primer again!

Shampoo -Giovanni - Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo
brooke2010 6/2/2013 3:02:00 AM
I have such mixed feelings about this product! I'm just going to go ahead and review the conditioner as well here. Ok, so I've been on the hunt for a good tingling, minty shampoo and conditioner duo. I wanted something like pureology's hydrate conditioner, which is amazing. I bought this thinking it would be similar. I don't know why, but neither the shampoo or conditioner makes my scalp tingle at all! I even leave the conditioner on for at least 5 minutes and i've used them several times! It's so weird. I think the products are very good, don't get me wrong...my hair looks great after I shower and it's really soft, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I also HATE the packaging. It's so awkward and hard to get product out with the lid in the way. I am really glad they're cruelty free and organic though...so like I said, really on the fence with this!

Shampoo -L'Oreal - EverCreme Nourishing Shampoo
brooke2010 5/18/2013 3:02:00 AM
I'm having such a weird experience with these products. Last year I used the intense nourishing shampoo and conditioner duo and did not like how it made my hair feel. I wanted to try it again a year later, so I got the regular nourishing shampoo and intense nourishing conditioner. As I applied both of them in the shower, my hair felt so dried out and stiff. Just a really weird feeling. I've never had a shampoo and conditioner do that before. I started to dry my hair and it was like combing through straw. But as soon as I was done, it got much softer and pretty shiny, though my ends are still a little dry. I don't know what the deal is. I want to like this product so much since I love the scent and the fact that it's sulfate free, but I don't want the hassle of wet, straw like hair. Hope this was just a fluke.

Treatments -Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle
brooke2010 5/6/2013 11:52:00 PM
For the price, this is a good drugstore deep conditioner. I actually will most likely use it every day since my hair is really thick and somewhat damaged. I just used it with the moist shampoo and my hair is extremely soft. I have purchased this a few times and I will continue because it really does what it promises.

Shampoo -Redken - Hair Cleansing Cream
brooke2010 5/6/2013 11:48:00 PM
If I had to pick a favorite clarifying shampoo, this would be it. It's a really nice formula that cleans my hair without making it feel dried out. Lathers really nicely, and makes my hair feel really fluffy and light when dried. The scent is not my favorite, but it's not the worst. It's just kind of a weird fruity smell, which makes sense though because the main ingredient in it is fruit acid. As always, Redken products aren't the cheapest, but they're always good quality. I recommend this for a higher-end clarifying shampoo.

Shampoo -Aussie - Moist Shampoo
brooke2010 5/6/2013 11:45:00 PM
Oh, the beloved moist shampoo. I used to steal this from my sister every now and then a few years ago. I liked how it smelled and it always made my hair feel really nice. Now that I'm a full-fledged hair product junkie, I decided to buy it again for fun. I know a lot of people who swear by Aussie products, especially 3MM, so I picked that up as well today. So glad I did. My hair is really thick and wavy, and I wash it every day. I've also been highlighting it, so I have some damage from that. Anyway, when I used this tonight, I wasn't sure how it was going to be when I was in the shower. My hair didn't have that silky feeling you sometimes get after using a nice shampoo, but the real test comes when you dry it. I used the shampoo first (obviously) and my hair felt normal when I rinsed it. Then I used the 3 minute miracle deep conditioner (this will probably be used as my daily conditioner, I know many people who do that), rinsed it out after a few minutes, and re-conditioned (I always do this). When I got out of the shower, I used my organix coconut anti-breakage serum on the ends of my hair and a few sprays of It's a 10 all over. My hair automatically felt silkier. Once I blowdried my hair, it felt amazing. Definitely much more hydrated, clean, super soft, and wonderfully scented. I hope this doesn't dry my hair out over time, but I doubt it will. I loveeee how my hair feels right now, I can't stop touching it!! All in all, highly recommend for those with thick, dry/damaged hair.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche in Tender Pink
brooke2010 5/1/2013 5:32:00 PM
Really pretty mauve color. It's a creamy texture, good for dry lips, and it stays pretty well. It's not super dramatic, it's more of a my lips but better color. Looks good on many skin tones. Definitely recommend for every day.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Vanilla Lace Silkening Body Splash
brooke2010 5/1/2013 3:24:00 AM
This has to be my favorite vanilla scent ever. It reminds me of my grandma because she had a bottle of this in her bathroom for years. I love the musk in it, I think it really adds something extra. I have the lotion as well. The body spray is perfect if you want something really light, maybe more of summertime scent. Highly recommend if you like vanilla or sweet scents, this is the only scent at VS that I'm really crazy about.

Fragrances -Aquolina - Pink Sugar
brooke2010 5/1/2013 2:37:00 AM
I bought the rollerball of this perfume at Sephora a while ago, and my best friend wears this perfume every day. While it's definitely not the worst scent out there, I'm taking off lippies because it's just so generic to me. It's sickeningly sweet, light, and girly. Literally liquid cotton candy. It smells like a lot of other younger scents, like anything by Britney Spears, for example. If you like sweet scents, definitely try it. You'll love it. It's not too expensive, you can find it pretty much everywhere, and there's a couple other variations of the scent in this line, so you can try those if you get bored. Also, I've noticed guys tend to like this scent, so maybe try it out for date night. I wear this every now and then if I specifically want to wear something really sweet. Otherwise, I stick to Versace Bright Crystal or Vera Wang Princess.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush in Pink Frosting
brooke2010 5/1/2013 1:39:00 AM
While the packaging is pretty awful for this blush, it's such a pretty color! I wanted a true pink blush to wear some days unlike my Nars blush, which has gold shimmer in it. This is a really pretty color but I think it's such a pain to put on. I'm not a cream blush fan for the most part because I hate applying it with my fingers, but what can I say, it was kind of an impulse buy. However, I've done much worse in the blush department. (Milani, I'm looking at you!)

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast Lipstick Stoplight Red
brooke2010 5/1/2013 1:33:00 AM
Where has this been all of my life? PERFECT red lipstick, and I've tried several! I was turned on to it because I heard it was a dupe for Russian Red, which I've been wanting to try. It really has the same lasting power as MAC or more expensive brands and doesn't bleed or get on my teeth, which is one of my major complaints with reds! It's such a gorgeous shade too, it's really bright and semi-matte, which I love. You would be crazy not to try this, considering it's so cheap and so awesome!

Shampoo -Organix - Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo
brooke2010 5/1/2013 1:29:00 AM
I'm probably wasting my time writing yet another organix review, but oh well. Ok so the first time I used this shampoo, I had awesome results. My hair was really soft and felt like I didn't even need to use conditioner, which is rare for me. Regardless, I went ahead and used the Organix macadamia conditioner with it...they were out of the awapuhi conditioner I wanted. Anyway, as soon as I rinsed the conditioner out, my hair was like straw. Awful. I mean, I don't think I've ever had a drugstore product dry my hair out so badly- not even Suave has done this! I've used the Awapuhi shampoo a few times since with a different conditioner and I get mediocre results. Semi-dry hair, not much shine, just kind of blah. I will not be repurchasing any organix shampoo or conditioners because I have never found one that works for me!

Fragrances -Versace - BRIGHT CRYSTAL
brooke2010 4/25/2013 9:20:00 AM
Wow, I am loving this perfume! I would have never know about it if someone I watch on YouTube hadn't mentioned it, but I'm so glad she did! It smells amazing. It's floral but really light, never overpowering. I think it's pretty unique and different. I'm in my early 20s, and I'm used to smelling scents on my friends like viva la juicy and pink sugar, so this is a breath of fresh air. Also, I bought a tester of it online and it was only $43. I have quite a few perfumes, but this one is all I've been wearing since I bought it. Really recommend if you want something a little different!
