Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

I like it because it's cheap and reminds me of my grandmother, who used the stuff religiously. There are positives and negatives here. It makes my skin very soft and smooth immediately, and sinks in/dries very quickly, so I am not waiting 5 minutes for my cream to dry. Also, you only need a tiny dab. Downside, it doesn't moisturize as much as a really high quality hand cream, leaving my cuticles a bit dry. It's good as a supplement to a high quality hand cream such as Aveda or l'occitane if you are like me, and wash hands/dishes 20 times a day and reapply hand cream even more (I could go through a big tube of l'occitane in a week!), but it will not replace these other creams, and you will probably need a cuticle cream with it.

Polishes -Borghese - Stellare Notte

The color is so beautiful in the bottle. But, unfortunately, as others have said, the nail color doesn't quite live up to that. Plus, 3 coats are needed for opacity, not quite the shine or finish I was hoping for, and chipping on tips on the first day, even with my rubberized base coat, and a top coat. Also, the bottle sucks with a grandma- looking cap that's hard to twist off. the wide, flat brush is easy to use, but I'm not sure if it holds enough polish- maybe the reason you need 3 coats. I don't mind paying $8 for polish, and the color is still pretty decent, but overall not worth the money.

Lip Treatments -Aveda - Lip Saver

Truly did save my winter-chapped lips! Also has spf and a nice feel, plus a matte look that lasts hours. I find this is also good under lipstick, especially matte lipstick that tends to be drying. Great!

Lotions/ Creams -Aveda - Hand Relief
bronislava 12/29/2010 2:48:00 PM
I bought this because the place I go was all out of l'occitane shea hand cream (my usual HG). This is much lighter, but moisturizes really well and smells great. It's not as rich as the l'occitane, but had a cumulative effect when used often. Also not sticky- nice silky texture. I'd call it a higher quality version of bliss's high intensity hand cream. Will definitely be buying this regularly!

Palettes -Tokidoki - Robbery Palette

Got this as a gift, and I really like it! The eye colors are all excellent, and blend together well. It's bold, but totally wearable. The case is a bit big, though the mini-pallettes pop out, the mirror is in the big part. But still a super-cute case. Blushes are also very vibrant, not subtle at all, so you need a very light hand with those. I'd also prefer a formula without talc, but this is still a standout palette!

Moisturizers -Caudalie - Premier Cru La Creme

It is fantastic! This is the only cream I have used that rivals, maybe surpasses fresh creme ancienne in moisturizing and brightening ability. It has a light, whipped texure that sinks in perfectly and is still rich. Leaves my skin as soft as a child's, and helps with breakouts and evenness. Also has a divine smell! The only downside, like creme ancienne, is the price- over $100 for an ounce and a half. I will buy it again, only if I can afford it!

Deodorants -Lavanila - The Healthy Deodorant

I love lavanila, but the deodorant is mediocre. It smells wonderful, has natural ingredients, etc, but wears off quickly and doesn't even mask heavy sweating. It's more like a fragrant underarm butter. I'll try it with a deodorant crystal, but I'm still looking for a really nice, natural deodorant.

This stuff is the only thing that will save me from a bad hair day, in a pinch. Of course, I have naturally curly hair that I like to wear wild, so your results may vary. But it gives amazing body and texture. Unfortunately, it has silicones and also is hard to get out. I only use a teeny-tiny amount, and it doesn't give me any problems.

Mascara -Clinique - Naturally Glossy Mascara
bronislava 7/1/2010 1:32:00 PM
I like this one a lot because it looks really natural and does not clump. It's one step up from a clear mascara. FYI I have black, naturally curly lashes though, so I don't need that much enhancement.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Lavender Hand Cream
bronislava 7/1/2010 1:27:00 PM
This is a good, light hand cream for when a thicker one might be too heavy. It smells very nice, and absorbs well. It's great to use with another hand cream, for a lighter result but I wouldn't buy this as my only one.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream
bronislava 7/1/2010 1:23:00 PM
I really love this hand cream- this one and the lighter lavender one they make. It makes my hands really soft, and it smells great. Also, it's not greasy or runny, and it really sinks in.

I love this product and the result it gives my hair, however it's just salt water and essential oil, so I will just make it next time instead of paying high prices for this.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
bronislava 7/1/2010 1:17:00 PM
It does the job, but it separates, into oil and solid, and it is kind of an odd shade for me, a bit too dark for my lid. I'll use it, but will be looking for another when it runs out.

Concealers -Fresh - Umbrian Clay Absolute Concealer
bronislava 7/1/2010 1:13:00 PM
For an undereye, it's unparalleled. However, it doesn't really cover blemishes for me, so I use it for the eye area. I don't really think there's a concealer that can do both, though, because undereye should be light, and face should be thicker, for me at least.
