Primer/ Corrector -Illamasqua - Satin Primer SPF 20
rated 2 of 5
britnay_77 5/10/2012 8:07:00 AM

This primer caused me the worst breakouts ever. My skin is not usually set off so badly by cosmetics. I really must be allergic to something in the formula because although other primers have clogged my skin before it was nothing like this. Regardless of this breaking me out badly I thought it felt too heavy on the skin and really made me feel heavily made up once my foundation was on. I really love illamasqua but this one was just not for me :(

Concealers -Becca - Concealer compact

Yay, good concealer in my colour!! I am really pale and usually the lightest colour is far too dark for my skin :( (hair naturally red btw.) I have this in meringue and the colour is perfection - neutral with a slight yellow undertone just like me :) I love that you get the medium and heavy coverage in one compact, so useful. I recently finished my illamasqua concealer and this is SO much creamier and easy to blend. Coverage is also better for my acne scarring and pimples.

Loose Powders -Becca - Fine Loose Finishing Powder
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 4/17/2011 9:23:00 PM

Wow. I never thought I would really like a powder... boy was I wrong! I am extremely pale and most drugstore brands don't even make makeup in my colour :( I also have very dry skin with acne scars and occasional pimples. Powders usally make me look like a corpse so I skip them but then my makeup doesn't last. I bought this in eggshell and first off the colour is perfect for me. It's very light but with a neutral tone NOT orange and NOT too pink as most pale ones are. On top of that it is not too matte and doesn't make me look like the living dead. Major plus. The powder also sets my foundation all day and adds a slight amount of coverage without looking like a cakey mask. Thankyou Becca!

Highlighters -Becca - Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 4/17/2011 9:16:00 PM

Thankyou Lisa Eldridge! If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have discovered this amazing product. This is the ONLY highlighting product I have ever really liked. I REALLY hate that glittery look some highlighters have and this has none, just pure subtle shimmer. One thing I wasn't expecting is that this is really a moisturiser with highlighter in it, so it is a lot less concentrated with shimmer than say MAC strobe cream or Benefit High Beam. I think however, this thinner consistency is what makes it so easy and beautiful to work with. It just looks so natural and glowy. I use this as a highlighter but it is probably subtle enough to use underneath foundation for a dewy look. Another plus it doesn't break me out and it has alot of great nurturing skincare ingredients in it! Alot of things break me out so this is a big one for me. Also I am an extremely pale redhead and the colour is great. For darker skintones check out becca's other colours of skin perfector for a really natural look.

Blush -Becca - 'Frangipani' blush
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 4/17/2011 9:07:00 PM

This is my favourite blush right now! The container is not very pretty but it is very airtight and closes well which is nice. The colour is a bronzey peach/plum, absolutely gorgeous and natural looking. There is a soft shimmer that imparts a glow but definitely no visible flecks of glitter. The creamy consistency is beautiful, incredibly easy to apply and dries quite matte. I am extremely pale with red hair and thought this may be too dark for me but it looks beautiful and natural on me. I also tried this on my friend who is medium olive skintone and it looked great on her too! I am so in love with becca products right now, even though I am only 21 my makeup left me looking older until I switched to lighter products and cream bases alot of them by becca. I have never looked younger or better and have had so many compliments :)

Mascara -Natio - Extreme Volume Mascara
rated 2 of 5
britnay_77 6/17/2009 7:45:00 AM

No... not so good... I found this clumpy and droopy... its just too liquidy too work well, unfortunately natio does not seem to have the expertise needed to make a mascara that's any good. Plus side is non irritating if it gets in your eye... I have sensitive eyes...

Primer/ Corrector -Natio - Ageless Illuminating Primer
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 6/17/2009 7:42:00 AM

Usually i dislike runny products and be warned this is VERY runny... but it doesn't break me out!!!! thisd is a first for a primer... and you can skip moisturiser as well as this primer is so hydrating! It lasts forever because you only need the tiniest drop to cover your whole face... its spreadability is incredible on my dry skin. This (unlike some other primers I've tried) does not react badly with any of my liquid or powder foundations to make weird gloop. I would highly reccomed this... it smells great and is great for your skin too!

Self Tanners -Natio - Sun-Kissed Glow Gradual Tan Lotion
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 6/17/2009 7:36:00 AM

Holy Cow! hands down the best gradual tanner I have used! Texture is perfect, not too runny (like holiday skin) but not as thick as dove so its easily spreadable. I cannot smell the fake tanner smell in this and it smells so divine. The colour is great and there are no streaks, this didn't even stain my ankles which they all do! Cheap too!.... highly recommended :)

Fragrances -Versace - BRIGHT CRYSTAL

As far as I'm concerned this smells exactly like Baby Doll, however my mother hates Baby Doll and whenever I wear it it makes her feel sick whereas she likes the smell of this?! It love this and Baby Doll, it is strong and young. You could definitely overdo it and obviously its a love or hate fragrance listening to some of the reviews here. The bottle is however undeniably gorgeous. Try it out if you like YSL Baby Doll :)

Cleansers -Erno Laszlo - phelityl soap
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 12/5/2008 8:44:00 PM

I bought laszlo's dry skin ritual on a whim because it was on sale... wow am I glad I did. I have never been a fan of soap cleansers... in fact I am usually allergic to soap and have been since I was a kid. That's why I was so surprised that my skin was the least dry I have seen it in a long time after using this cleanser, I had literally no flakes on my face after one use... amiracle for me that usually requires heavy duty exfoliation. The texture of this soap is devine, it is so creamy and although the face is left squeaky clean it is plump and hydrated below the surface. This is my holy grail, I have adult acne and dry skin which is very difficult sometimes, I skip moisturiser and just use this along with his phelityl toner unless skin is very dry. The soap also lasts a very long time so it's economical... I think the 1.4oz travel size should last a good 3 or 4 months. I would encourage anyone with inflamed dry skin to try this... I am so surprised and delighted!

Fragrances -Anna Sui - Sui Love
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 11/28/2008 8:07:00 AM

This must work well with my chemistry because I think it smells great! I can never describe frangrances but spicy, fruity and sugary would sum it up pretty well. It's a littl bit heady in a good way. Doesn't give me a headache which is unusual for a perfume like this. My fave anna sui perfume, I find dolly girl quite sickly and it lacks the depth of sui love (and the cute bottle!)

Crème -Illuminare - Extra Coverage Foundation/ Concealer
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 11/21/2008 3:07:00 AM

wow, hands doen the best product I have ever come across. What more can I say... 100% coverage with fantastic blending... and here's the best part IT DOESN"T LOOK LIKE A MASK... heck it doesn't look like you are wearing anything at all. Iove this as a concealer and a foundation as well, I am so grateful to illuminare for cutting the crap (no fancy packaging here) and delivering a truly wonderful and functional product. I <3<3<3<3<3<3 it :P

Liquid -Illuminare - Fantastic Finish Foundation
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 11/21/2008 2:58:00 AM

This is a really great product. Mineral makeup is the only kind that doesn't break me out if I sleep in it... not that I do that ;) If you are sick of the powder kind like me and want a dewy finish this is perfect. It doesn't cover all that well and isn't really buildable but used in conjunction with a concealer this provides a flawless complexion. I like the pakaging too, boring yet functional and can't be smashed :) Oh and the palest colour Amalfi Alabaster is a tiny shade darker than my ppp skin. However most foundations lightest colour is slightly too dark for me. After an hour or so though it blends in and there is no line.

Highlighters -Bare Escentuals - Gossamer All Over Face
rated 4 of 5
britnay_77 11/10/2008 7:29:00 AM

For me, this toes the line between shimmer and glitter. For the eyes it is great and stunning when used wet, but all over the face... not so sure. When I'm smooching my boyfried with this on he gets little glitters on his cheeks. I don't like people to "see" I am wearing shimmer, I want it to look like a glow, so seeing how obvious it was on my boyfriends face was a little bit of a turn off. They are definitely not big glitters... just not invisible. If you like em that way this is great. For me it is still great for my eyes and special occasions. For reference I am PPP

Skincare - Face -Guerlain - Orchidee Imperial Serum
rated 5 of 5
britnay_77 6/15/2008 8:39:00 AM

Ok, so this is way too expensive for my budget... to the point of absurdity. Yes I am a student... yes I recently purchased a $300+++ face serum. Why you ask? Well the truth is I have always been a Guerlain fanatic and merely the idea of a serum utilising the power and longevity of orchid extract had me practically peeing my pants with excitement. Admittedly I have only been using this for just over a week, however I will regularly update this review as to the long term results. So far i'm VERY impressed, this serum is no gimmick, the orchid extract is truly beneficial to my skin, it doesn't break me out... hell it reduces my breakouts, it has devinitey improved the texture and evened the colour of my skin. The texture of the serum is divine and the REAL orchid smell smply heavenly. I would consider my skin normal to sensitive (fair redhead) and this does not irritate me even on the most sensitive areas (around the eyes/nose etc.), altough the serum is very expensive I agree with a previous reviewer that it is far more economic than Guerlain's orchidee rich cream. Prior to buying th full size of the srum I had a trial (3ml) size of the rich cream which lasted me like 2 uses!!! I would say with the serum that 0.5ml is definitely adequate for my face and if I'm feeling really extravagant the tops of my hands. So I guess that would mean daily use would give this little bottle a lifespan of only 60 days... I'm sure it wil last a bit longer than that though if used sensibly. Will update in a couple of weeks...bye :)
