Primer/ Corrector -Rimmel - Fix & Perfect Pro Primer 002
brio815 5/19/2013 8:53:00 AM
I bought this on a whim. It has a thin lotion consistency with a "silky" feel. IMO the primer doesn't smell bad. Someone mentioned they cringed. It's not that potent. Once you put your makeup on the smell would be convered. They also mentioned the size. It's 1 FL oz which seems pretty typical. You don't need a lot of product. It's about $6 give or take. But most of these ladies would spend $50+ on 1-2 FL oz on a product that does next to nothing. This isn't a miracle in a tube. But it's decent as far as drugstore goes. I haven't seem any side effects. I have oily skin. My face isn't completely shine free all day & yes it still gets oily but not AS MUCH as before. My pores are minimized. Face looks smoother when makeup is applied.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15
brio815 5/11/2013 12:26:00 PM
I received the regular and red color as a birthday VIP from sephora. The red broke and I tossed it. The lemon clear one just broke the other day. They are too soft and even the slightest pressure causes it to get smooshed. The price for the original sizes is ridiculous. You can find better lip products at the drugstore for a fraction of the price. I don't see what fresh offers that Chapstick doesn't.

Liquid -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

Pretty decent. If you have dry skin, this isn't for you. I think this works very well with oily skin. Any dry patches will be emphasized. I got classic ivory & thinks it matches pretty well. I gave a 4 because I wished one coat would cover red a little better. It has a pump which is a plus. So that added one point. I paid about $13 at Walgreens.

Polishes -OPI - Pompeii Purple
brio815 3/22/2013 9:51:00 AM
I've had this cor for several years (the same bottle) and it still looks & wears great. No it isn't your typical purple but meat if you're not cor blind you can see that. It's more of a link but it's pinky-purple. Purple comes in so many shades, so potato potahto! It was my first OPI purchase years ago & I still love it.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous in Carbon Black
brio815 3/21/2013 8:47:00 AM
I love this mascara. I got it at Dollar Geberal for $6. Idk if that's good or bad compared to other places that sell it. But less than $10 is good IMO. I hadn't used this mascara in a long time. I love the Carbon Black. It thickens my lashes. I use it after I later on Covergirl's Clump Crusher. My lashes look extra dark. Love. The brush is soft (doesn't poke your eyes or lash line like the rubber wands). Yes, is purchase again. The only complaint I have is a lot if product is on the brush when I pull out the wand. So I have to wipe it in the open end of the tube (you know). Other than that- it's great. Not dry or flaky. My lashes feel soft.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara

Bought this recently. To me, it's nothing special. I use it with The Rocket. Neither are anything awesome or amazing. They don't have any "Wow" factor or holy grail factor for me. Some YT videos show the mascara as buildable & great. I'm not disappointed per se but it's just nothing special for me. I'd say it lives up to the claim & doesn't clump. But I don't feel it thickens my lashes.

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
brio815 3/11/2013 7:32:00 PM
Just bought this at BBW. It was a lil less than $6. It can be used for any dry area of skin. It can be a LOL oily feeling but it's similar to Vaseline. It has a light rose scent which is kind of a nice change from the typical chopsticks I purchase. The tin is a pretty decent size.

Lotions/ Creams -Carmex - Healing Cream
brio815 2/8/2013 11:37:00 AM
I picked up a travel size for 99 cents at walgreens. They had the healing cream & healing lotion. I'm unsure of the difference. So far I like the healing cream. It's not too thick or too thin. It sinks right into the skin. It's not greasy. It's smooth once applied & rubbed in. It has the carmex scent but very light. I like it & would purchase a larger size.

Waste of money. Smells weird. Does nothing. Feels oily & makes my face feel gross. This wasn't cheap when I bought it. I've tried it out several times. I wanna throw it away and should.

I returned this to Ulta. Nothing special about it. Didn't change my hair (make it look better). I tried it alone. I tried it with a serum. My hair felt & looked the same.

Hair -Unlisted Brand - MACADAMIA NATURAL OIL Deep Repair Mask
brio815 2/5/2013 10:26:00 AM
I got a sample packet for $4 at Ulta. I'm glad I'm able to try it before spending $30. The first time I used this it melted right into my hair. As far as appearance went I didn't notice a major difference BUT my hair felt quite soft. Next use: I noticed my curly/wavy hair was more calm & yes, still soft. Third time, my hair is calmer & still soft. I don't need much because I mostly apply it to my ends. It mts right on like butter! I'm due for a trim and I get split ends all the time. My hair is naturally dry and I straighten it from time to time. No it's not going to "heal" split ends. Nothing can except to cut them off. But, I can see why this is a $30 product. Unless you have massively thick hair you can make one tub last a long time! So it would be worth the $30. I definitely want to buy the actual product now.

Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

I want to return this but don't know if I have my receipt. :( I bought this because of the awesome reviews. And YouTube gurus make it look so lovely. I applied with a brush. Tried using my fingers. It looks too thick on me. If you have skin issues (blemishes, bumps, etc) or dry areas, this isn't for you. Large pores? Not for you. Good coverage. But seems to emphasize imperfections.

Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Lumi Touch
brio815 1/20/2013 8:12:00 PM
I saw this being raved about by a beauty guru I adore. I got it at Walmart for $6 or $7. It does nothing for me. I apply it after my Maybelline instant age rewind under eye treatment concealer. I see no radiance. No brightening. I use it because I bought it & it doesn't do anything damage so I'm gonna use it up. I won't repurchase simply because I see no difference after using. I like the click pen style & the brush tip applicator though.

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles
brio815 1/20/2013 8:09:00 PM
It's an average product. It's not too thick & not too thin if a consistency. No fragrance that I notice. Doesn't cause any break outs even if I use on a pimple instead my under eyes. I don't understand why this gets so much hype though. I guess I would repurchase. I have the concealer/treatment not the pink radiant one. I think a lot of product can go to waste once the product is "finished." Because there's product build up on the stick inside of the tube. Average concealer. Nothing special. And I don't know if it actually treats dark circles. Whatever the ingredient is it may not actually be enough or be high enough on the list to make a difference in testing dark circles. I like the sponge & I don't think it collects germs any worse than anything you touch to your face then put back in the product. I've seen some ladies will remove the sponge applicator. I'm not sure their logic behind that. I am sure germs live on all their other products.
