BB Cream -L'Oreal - Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
breakfastattiffanys11 6/30/2012 5:03:00 PM
To start off, I have never used a BB cream. However, from the description of BB creams I thought I would never be able to use one. I have super oily skin that can be acne prone. I also have somewhat of an uneven complexion and my complexion always looks red. I was using Bare Mineral Matte before this, and I was realizing that it was making my skin look very dull and ashy.I bought this on a whim just to try it out and I am so, so happy that I did. This does not give full coverage (it's comparable to bare minerals or a tinted moisturizer in regards to coverage) but it left my skin looking healthier, like I wasn't wearing makeup. The thing that surprised me was that it was matte and stayed put. I wore this to the beach today, normally I wouldn't wear any makeup to the beach but this just feels like tinted moisturizer and I'm excited about it. This lasted through the sun and sweat all day! There is not sunscreen, which I think is a plus, no greasies or white face in pictures, so some may not like that. I would also skip over this if you have super dry skin or need a lot of coverage. I will definitely continue to buy- the best face makeup I have ever tried (I've tried Bare Minerals (regular and matte), Revlon Colorstay, Laura Mercier tinted foundation, and several drugstore mineral makeups).
My natural hair color is a medium brown that would get highlights from the sun in the summer. I started to get highlights at the salon and I kept getting them until eventually my hair was totally blonde. I was blonde for about 8 years and just this year I dyed my hair a rich choclately brown at the salon. Since my hair was so poreous, color would not last on me, it would go back to blonde or a mousy brown so quickly. I was killing my hair dying it every month. While this is pricy, it is 100 percent worth it. I've had this for four months and I have not dyed my hair in those four months. My color is a cool dark chocolate color. This does have a lot of color payoff, and you notice it with the first use. When I first got this I would use it every day or sometimes everyday. The longer you leave it on the darker. Now I use this about once a week and my color is maintained. The scent is a herbaly scent and this will definitley dye your hands and nails, sometimes I use gloves to apply it! This takes out any red or brassy tones that are common in bruenettes, especially color treated brunettes. My hair feels silky when I use this and it looks beautiful and dark. This has totally saved my hair.
Self Tanners -Fake Bake - flawless self tan liquid

This is a beauty product that I never want to be without. I used to go tanning maybe once a week sometimes more before events or before summer (eeek I know, don't flame me!). So I am used to a real tan. I should also point out that this is the first self tanner that I have used (I've used mostly gradual things in the past like Jergins). First of all this is so easy to use. The mitt and gloves are great, no streaking at all, even for a newbie like me. Second, the color really looks tan, not brown, not orange, but a nice tan. This 100% looks like how I tan in the sun or in a tanning bed. This also comes out pretty dark and you have an instant glow. Some does wash off in the shower but you still have a nice glowing tan. I use this on my face with no breakouts, too. Since using this I have not stepped foot in a tanning bed. This is holy grail for me.
I live in a house with three other women (my sisters and mom) and there is always about 3 or 4 tubs of this around because we all use it and go through it like crazy. I use this and I am oily, acne-prone, my mom is in her fortys with combination skin, one of my sisters has dry skin, and my youngest sister is in her teens with occasional breakouts. I would probably stay away from this if I had sensitive skin because this tingles and I could see that bothering some. I don't like the smell but I love how clean and refreshed this makes my skin feel. My skin never really breaks out when I am using this either. I use this day and night. In the morning when I don't have any makeup on I put this on dry skin and leave it on when I brush my teeth and then i message it in and wipe off with a damp face cloth. At night I remove my makeup and then use this with my Olay facial spinbrush. I admit I do try and use other things, but this always gives me consistant results even if it is not as fun as other facewashes out there.
I went into Ulta trying to get Tarte EmphasEYES for my eyebrows, but thought I couldn't find my color (little did I know there was only one shade) so I picked this up in Chocolate. Not knowing it was eyeliner I used it to fill my brows, and I was surprisingly in love! This does not have any red and it matches my eyebrows perfectly. Another plus is that it stays put, it does not smudge. I have worn this out dancing with my friends and I have worn it outside in high humidity. The tip is thin so it's easy to do soft, small, realistic strokes, I think using the twist up liners are much better than using a pencil because you can be more precise, so it doesn't look like I sharpied on brows. Well, after I realized it was eyeliner for the inner rim I was psyched because I line the inner rims of my eyes whenever I want a dramatic look. When I applied this it hurt my eyes and I could barely even see it. It was one hundred percent off within 20 minutes. So if any of you bought this and hated it and don't have a recipt, try it on your brows. For a brow pencil I give this a 4.5, but for it's actual purpose as an inner rim eyeliner I would give it a 1, so that is why I gave this 3 lippies. I would ONLY buy this again for my brows. EDIT: Had to change the rating. While this looks amazing on my eyebrows it does smudge a bit. I need something that last for the entire day, even after the gym. The best I've found is MAC in Spiked, it's the same color and has a skinny tip and lasts longer
I am a total girly girl and I love sweet gourmand scents especially anything vanilla or coconut. I really wanted to love this perfume. The first time I tried this I definitely smelled the licorice but then it dries down to a sweet delicious vanilla cotton candy scent. Afterwards I went over to my boyfriend's sister and brother-in-laws'. My boyfriend's sister is not someone I would expect to love this scent(she's more of a Chanel girl) but when I went to hug her goodbye, she literally would not let go. She begged to know what I was wearing and said it was the most delicious scent she's ever smelled. You will definitely get reactions from people with this....like a pandemonium! Every time I wear this I get stopped by people, and cuddled and hugged. I like this scent, but not so much as other people do. This is just too cloying for me, it's yummy but it's a bit too much on me. This smells the best at the end of the day.

I love the smell of fresh sheets out of the dryer and that fresh clean out of the shower scent. Now I can have those scents whenever I want. This is a light, clean, inoffensive scent, and to some it may be boring, but sometimes you want to just smell clean. I like to spray this on half way through the day when I don't have that out of the shower clean anymore. This is not sexy and exotic scent, but it is just so comforting. This is the only scent that my boyfriend ever comments on, which is great because this is probably my least expensive fragrance and it's easy to get.
This is good, but so not worth the price.I wish I could give this a 3.5 lippie. I got a small travel sized version of the shampoo and conditioner at Ulta and I use this about every other wash (it's lasted me months too and I'm not even half way through the bottles). I think many of us will pay such an outrageous price on this because it fits the bill for a lot of us: sulfate free, high lather, gives volume, and maintains color. I dye my hair a dark chocolate brown after being highlighted blond for about 8 years, so it has been really hard to get color to stay. With this I do notice that my color lasts longer. I have a little bit more volume than usual and I love that this lathers. I'm still on the fence about the smell of this one, I like it and hate it at the same time. It smells like mens' shaving cream, I wish it was a little more minty like Pureology Hydrate. However, my hair still gets frizzy and falls flat later on during the day, for the price of this stuff it should give you fabulous results, the results are good, but I'm not amazed.
I got this from Marshall's along with a bronzer and Stanic and they are amazing. I have several blushes a cream one from Tarte, Nars Orgasm and a Bare Essentials one. I think my other blushes are jealous of this one. This one is so much better than orgasm, this is not too sparkly and it really shows up on your skin. This is really a buildable peachish pink. I use the bronzer from TheBalm and then I brush this on top of my cheekbones, and my cheekbones look defined plus I look like I have a great natural glow (which I do not.) Plus the packinging is so cute, I can always find it in my makeup bag.
This is great, I use this nightly to really clean my face. When I first got this I used it twice a day and that was a little too much for my skin. Now that I use it just at night( which is when my face is the dirtiest) my skin is clear and smooth and I feel like it gives my complexion more clarity and brightness. I use this with regular Noxzema in the blue tub and my skin has never been better, I'm oily and acne prone for reference. At night I use a makeup remover wipe and then I use this, so I'm not just spreading my makeup and oil from the day all over my face. Then when I use toner the cotton ball is almost always clean. I think this helps your moisturizers, serums, and face masks perform better too.
I use the whole Monoi line from Carol's Daughter and they are my favorite shampoo/conditioner combo. I look forward to washing my hair with this. The smell is one of the best scents I've ever smelled, I even tried searching for a perfume that has a similar scent. This smells like coconuts and tropical flowers. On to how this performs, its amazing! I love that it's sulfate free but still fully lathers, it doesn't strip my hair color ( I dye it dark chocolate brown but I had been blonde for years so my hair fades back to light very quickly), plus my hair seems to break far less often than usual. My hair is color treated, fine, oily at the roots, but a little dry at the end, and extremely prone to breakage(all those highlights when I was blonde!) I think this is very expensive, I just graduated from college so I do not have much money but this is always my splurge. If you want to try this out you can get a little starter kit from Ulta or Sephora for like 28 dollars which is steep, but it comes with a small shampoo, conditioner, and the mask and it the starter kit lasted me for a while.
I love this lip gloss! I'm usually more of a pale or rosy pink or peach gloss type of girl. I got this as a gift and I thought the color would be awful on me, it looked kind of reddish with loads of sparkles (I thought for sure it would look awful on my often blotchy red skin tone). I put it on and I was so blown back, this actually compliments my skin tone more so than my usual pink lip gloss. The color is super flattering, this is not too sticky, it has a soft sort of vanilla-ish scent, and the staying power was pretty good. If you hate sparkles or glitter in your lip product i would probably skip this though. I don't like too much glitter, but then again I don't mind the sparkles or shimmer in other lip glosses that seem to drive others wild ( I have Revlon Peach Parfait and Maybelline Babylips in Peach Kiss and many reviewers complained about the glitter or shimmer while I actually like it). I think the glitter in this makes your lips look plumper and young and fresh.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Honey Lip Treatment SPF 15

When I first heard that Fresh was coming out with Honey I was extremely fascinated, I had to have it. Like the other Fresh lipbalms it has the screw on top to keep it from opening in your purse, it smells nice, and it feels like heaven going on your lips. I'm not sure how I feel about the color. Sometimes it looks muddy on me and it enhances my sometimes ruddy or red skin-tone. However, on days that I have on a little more concealer I like the way it looks- I look put together and natural. I do use it, but I don't find myself reaching for it in my makeup bag as much as I anticipated to. I can see this looking great on a lot of people. I want to love it, but I don't think this works well if you're like me and your skin has a lot of redness to it.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve

I know a lot of people think this is overhyped, but I personally love it. Yes it is mostly petroleum, but I love the rose scent and the pretty natural pink it leaves on my lips. This makes my lips feel super soft and moisturized. I also put this on my cuticles or dry patches of skin in the winter, but my favorite use is for my lips. This also lasts forever, I had one of the tins which lasted me years and now I just bought the one that comes in the tube. And for 7 dollars it isn't that expenisve especially compared to some other lip prodcuts.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Plum Lip Treatment SPF 15
breakfastattiffanys11 2/19/2012 10:55:00 AM
This was not love at first swipe for me. I got this for my birthday in a gift set and I thought this dark plum color would never work for me. I'm usually a clear, light pink, or peach type of lip balm girl. When I first put this on I thought that it looked awful. However I wiped a little bit a way and the color was sheer and beautiful. Now I have learned to just dab a little on your lips (and it's so moisturizing that's really all you need) I love this product. It deepens the color of my lips so that I don't look too overdone, but so that I look slightly polished while still natural. I have brown hair and brown eyes and I think the plum is actually very flattering. You can also build this up to get better coverage and a deep plum if you want too.
