Lotions/ Creams -TendSkin - Tend Skin

Wish I had known about this long ago! I have tried other types of pre- and post-hair removal products to stop bikini line ingrown hairs and irritation (Bliss pads, drugstore stuff), but nothing worked. Gave this a try about 2 months ago, and it really helps. Also use gentle scrub in shower daily after shaving. The roll-on applicator works fine for me.

Not bad...use the lightest color under eyes, and it does help with dark circles. Don't mind the applicator.

Sunscreen -Biore - UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+
bratalier 4/9/2011 1:07:00 PM
Just got this in a package from Hong Kong (cheers to BoBoDave and their most excellent customer service!), and am glad to say it will be part of my summer arsenal here in the deep south. I used Sofina Perfect UV Lucent until it was discontinued. This feels VERY close to the Sofina, and I love it for long summer weekends outside. I am also trying Fancl Sunguard 30 for everyday facial use.

Sunscreen -Fancl - Fancl Sunguard spf 30
bratalier 4/9/2011 1:04:00 PM
UPDATE: After using both Fancl and Biore for about a month, I am definitely preferring the Biore. Fancl may not be as drying, but it leaves a residue that I find unpleasant. Also being 30, not as long lasting as the Biore 50. Will use remaining Fancl on legs. ============================================== Just got this in a package from Hong Kong (cheers to BoBoDave and their most excellent customer service!), and am glad to say it will be part of my summer arsenal here in the deep south. Tools -Gillette - Mach 3 Razor (Men's)
bratalier 1/22/2011 12:42:00 PM
Like others here, got it for husband, then tried once and was hooked! To me, it's the weight and balance of the handle along with blade pivot. Just a better tool than the women's razors I've tried, and not made of plastic. I'm one of those who HATES disposable razors of any kind. I'll stick with this for now.

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure
bratalier 6/29/2010 4:09:00 PM
posted this a long time ago using the generic listing: I've been using Now brand 100% jojoba oil from WholeFoods for two weeks; I started out using it at night only after washing my face, but now I use it in the morning after I shower as well. The first few days, I was dubious, but now I think I'm seeing positive change: softer, calmer, smoother skin. Will post again at 6 weeks. UPDATE: This is working out very well for me; my skin is clearer and calmer. Yay! NEXT UPDATE: Well, 3 months later changed to Desert Essence; same results. BUT this past winter noticed dry skin; switched to DS moisturizer (Boots Expert Sensitive), and voila! MUCH BETTER than jojoba oil. Will continue to alternate.

Don't think it is really doing anything except giving a mild burning sensation. Continue search for non-abrasive exfolliating mask.

It's okay, not amazing to me, but a decent body moisturizer. I like to mix it with self-tanner.

On my second container of this--works very well as a basic moisturizer. Can't beat the price! DH uses it too.

Toners -Lumene - Radiant Touch with Arctic Cloudberry Moisturizing Toner

Gentle toner--NOT alcohol based, stinging, or harsh in any way. Will use with Lift/Touch oil cleanser until I can afford to go back to DHC regimen.

Cleansers -Lumene - Lift Touch Rejuvenating Cleansing Oil
bratalier 6/29/2010 3:42:00 PM
It is gentle and does remove sunscreen, makeup, etc. I was looking for a less expensive oil cleanser (love DHC, but can't afford right now). Does not rinse as well as DHC; I need a washcloth instead of just splashing water to rinse face. Will use until I can go back to DHC.

Pressed Powders -Revlon - Colorstay Pressed Powder with SoftFlex

Didn't work for me; I had cakey results with both sponge applicator and brush, and I broke out around my nose within 24 hours. Returned to Walgreens.

I have been using this BH cream at night only for about 2 months now, and it does seem to be helping with evening out skin appearance. Really wish it came in a tube or a pump.

Cleansers -DHC - Mild Cleansing Soap
bratalier 7/19/2009 5:26:00 PM
Love this soap. First, it is incredibly gentle and has the softest lather I've ever put on my skin. Second, it lasts for months. Third, the packaging is such a treat, I feel like I'm opening a present.
