Lipstick -Revlon - Moon Drops Creme - Blase Apricot 702

I adore the color of this lipstick but I felt I should do a review to warn people about the smell, I can't believe more people have not mentioned it. It is so strong, doesn't fade for hours and it tastes like perfume. I wear this sometimes and put up with the smell, but I have to pop mints the whole day because my mouth tastes horrible. I'm not that sensitive to scents so I could deal with it but the taste makes me regret buying it and I'm going to try out MAC vegas volt and hope it's similar!

Eyeliner -MAC - Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Undercurrent
rated 4 of 5
brandylee 4/19/2010 11:18:00 AM

I'm going to agree with everyone and say this is a beyond gorgeous e/l..I wear liquid liner on my upper lashline so I try not to collect too many pencil e/l because I only wear them on my lower lashline and not even in the waterline. I saw swatches of this though and had to have it. I love the glitter BUT whenever I wear this I get alot of fallout throughout the day. It's hard to tell if it's the glitter thats flaking or the product itself, I'm just left with dark specks on my cheeks that I have to wipe off during the day and I hate that! UD 24/7 liners don't do this to me so minus a lippie for that! The unique color and glitter combo and price (compared to UD) would still make me repurchase though and maybe I can find a way to use this so it won't flake!

Blush -MAC - Blush Ombre - Ripe Peach [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
brandylee 3/30/2010 11:08:00 PM

***I posted the picture of myself wearing Ripe Peach*** Right before RP came out I was obsessing about coral and peachy pink blushes so when this came out I knew I wanted to get it but I actually never saw it in real life because it was sold out when I went to get it. I didn't bother going to other MAC stores but later I thought about paying 50+ bucks for it on ebay. One night someone who lived in GA told me their Belks still had them in stock so I placed a phone order and I finally got mine! The product is nice, but I'm glad I didn't pay any more than 25 dollars for it because I don't think a true peach suits me well since I have pink undertones. The gradient allows to be pick up more of the bottom coral color but it's still more peach than alot of the peachy pinks I own. I like my blush heavier as well, so I think it's more obvious that it's leaning orange more than anything else. I wear it often because I don't really care how natural it looks and I like how you can swirl your brush in different colors. I like putting a MSF or beauty powder over this because I don't notice the shimmer at all. Worth the $25 but nothing more! I think the picture I posted represents it very well, though I might have added more shimmer over it.

Lip Gloss -LORAC - Multiplex 3D Lip Gloss
rated 3 of 5
brandylee 3/16/2010 10:02:00 PM

I bought this in Vivid after a youtube guru stating that it was beyond amazing and unique. I don't own many lip products so I felt I could splurge on a good one...Because I don't own that many, I can't say if it is necessarily this product but Vivid creeped into every vertical line on my lips that is extemely noticeable when I smile :-( I typically don't buy light shades of lipgloss, so it might just be the color that is making it stand out so much but I don't even feel comfortable wearing this out in the day because it looks awful. I've tried chapstick, korres lip butter, and vaseline, as well as nothing under this lipgloss and it still happens. I also tried it over lipsticks and though it's not as bad, it's still bad enough. They seem like nice glosses, they aren't sticky, smell good, and look gorgeous in the tube. I just can't wear them and wish I would have returned it :-( I also tried on Untamed while in sephora and it seemed to do the same thing for the short time I was in there (collect into all my verticle lip lines), ugh.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Two Virtues
rated 4 of 5
brandylee 3/16/2010 7:02:00 PM

I was hesitant to get this after hearing how similar it is to love rock..However, I adore love rock so I knew I would like it regardless I was just hoping it would be more purple. When I focus my brush more on the purple, it sets it apart from love rock so I am happy to have both in my collection :-) I think the reviewer below me might be talking about another blush because this is pretty pigmented in my opinion, though I am pretty heavy handed with my blush. I would have loved to have more blushes from this collection but this is the only one I really liked aside from rhapsody in two which I picked up for a highlighter. Be careful with these hough, I already dropped and broke a mineralized blush :-(

Palettes -Coastal Scents - Creative Me #1 Palette
rated 4 of 5
brandylee 2/24/2010 8:29:00 PM

I haven't used all the colors in the palette yet but the bright pink in this palette took away my lemming for that MUFE hot pink so I wanted to do a review! Like the previous person said, put powder over your e/s base before you use this palette..I Just use MAC's blanc type from lid to brow and then use these shades, it helped a lot. The pink and oranges were great but I ran into problems with the yellow, thought it seemed a little chalky. I will update when I get around to using the other colors but I created a beautiful sunset eye with this and so far I am happy with it. I used the hot pink on the lid, orange in the crease, the orange red in the outer corner and yellow around the edges to blend out into my highlight.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen mascara
rated 3 of 5
brandylee 2/15/2010 12:09:00 AM

Despite loving really dramatic eye makeup, I hate buying new mascaras so I typically just use drugstore mascara, and I try a new one every time I'm done with the previous one (so I've never really found an HG). I used this one after using a Clinique one that my mom had given me and at first I really loved this stuff..definitely added drama like I had never seen to my crappy lashes. It was a tad clumpy though so they weren't perfect but they stood out a lot more which was a good thing. However, as time went on (using this daily) I realized it was flaking worse and worse and was getting harder to work with so I guess I will agree that it's a dry formula that DOES flake. Since then I have used Loreal Voluminous and Maybelline Full n Soft and they don't give the drama that the collagen mascara provides but they didn't flake on me as bad either. Worth a try since mascara is a very personal thing, if it doesn't flake on you- it will be a keeper.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Love Lace
rated 5 of 5
brandylee 1/15/2010 10:15:00 PM

I don't own many MAC shadows yet, but I love veluxe pearls and I kept eyeing this at the counter and eventually bought it online. It's beautiful blue gray, I like to wear it with suave intentions on the lid and LL in the crease with carbon on the outer corner..really easy but pretty. I'm not sure how unique it is and typically I love bold bright colors but it's still a pretty smokey color. I don't know about the reviewer below me, but I used a black base and my 217 brush and the color went on how it looks in the pot.

Skincare - Body -Philosophy - peppermint hot cocoa 3 in 1
rated 2 of 5
brandylee 12/7/2009 10:17:00 AM

I had high hopes for this and even got the big bottle instead of the winter escape set because I wanted it to last. This is also my 1st philosophy purchase So I was excited. Someone had mentioned that this smelled like chlorine to them and they are right! Its not heavy but I could def smell something off putting while in the shower. I thought it smelled fine in the store but I guess not. I have to return this I can't get passed the chemical smell no matter how much I love chocolate and mint!

Blush -Urban Decay - Score ]
rated 4 of 5
brandylee 11/22/2009 7:22:00 PM

This is definitely my favorite blush right now, though I don't own that many. I bought it on a whim since I needed to spend over a certain amount to get free shipping during a FF sale. Though I only have 6 or 7 blushes, for me that's too much so I regretted buying this. However, this one is my favorite! I recently bought the Milani luminous and was dissappointed how much I had to pack on. This is much more pigmented and more peach toned (so please ignore me comparing it to Milani lol). It is small and expensive, but I love the gold glow it gives. I like my blush a little heavier and shimmery, and while I was loving Maybelline's mineral power blushes, they just didn't have enough shimmer for me so I started lemming some MAC MSF's to put over them (ugh more $$!). With this blush, I don't need an MSF, it gives all the glow I need and you can put on as little or as much as you want. I can't wait to try Quickie. I think it's great to have in your collection, especially if you have a lot of blushes because eventhough it's small, you will probably never use it up anyways :-) 1 lippie off though, if it was bigger I would have discovered this beauty sooner (I never noticed this in Sephora because I probably thought it was an eyeshadow!) so I do wish it was a tad cheaper. I personally can't comment on lasting power, for some reason that doesn't concern me so I've never bothered to compare how long blushes last during the day (probably because my skin is so oily).

Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious Tasty Lip Jewels Crystal Candy
rated 4 of 5
brandylee 11/22/2009 12:24:00 AM

I'm suprised some people complain about the price, but after trying out MAC dazzleglasses, I am loving the price :-) I personally love this gloss for its purpose. It's pretty much clear with hot pink glitter, I think there's some other colored glitter in there too. You get a ton of product (something like 8 times the amount in a dazzleglass) for the same look in my opinion. Dazzleglasses look amazing in the tube but go on sheer on the lips, it's the glitter that's pretty, and these do the job fine for me! I'm not the hugest fan of the squeezy tubes, I love putting on lip stuff with a brush but I will look past it. I think it's fun having a few high end lipglosses that make you feel pampered (Funtabulous will always be one of my favorites) but for those who can't collect expensive lipglosses, I think these are great! LOVE the way they tingle, and they are a bit sticky but they go on smooth. I'm going to buy some more colors!

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush Duo - Love Rock (Grand Duos Coll.)
rated 5 of 5
brandylee 11/11/2009 5:18:00 PM

I encourage everyone to check their local CCO because these have made their way to mine :-) I passed this blush up (and the others) the first time around because I was so indecisive and I thought they were a little pricey. Even when I bought this at the CCO, I felt a little guilty about buying it since I am supposed to be saving to buy Christmas gifts for other people. But anyways, I'm in love with this! I only have 7 or 8 blushes and feel that the ones I have are kind of repetitive but I'm still glad I bought this. I'm not going to bother trying to describe the color but it's pretty much exactly what I was trying to achieve by putting MAC's mineralized blush in "Daft Pink" over a matte pink blush. This is pink and sooo glowy I love it! I'm trying to hold myself back from going and getting the rest of these !

Treatments (Eye) -Too Faced - Wrinkle Injection
rated 3 of 5
brandylee 10/28/2009 3:59:00 PM

I don't own this product, but I thought I would comment about it in a review because I think it works good for another purpose. My boyfriend has a very large pore that he is self conscious about and he tried this out at Sephora one day and it completely filled it in and cancelled out the darkness inside of the pore and unless I was extremely close to his face, you couldn't see the pore at all! He was very temped to buy it. The only reason you could see it up close on him was because its concealer colored so since he can't wear foundation/powder over it, you could see it was another color than his actual skin. I currently have 4 eyebrow piercings, and 1 old eyebrow piercing scar, meaning when I remove my current ones I will have 10 holes to cover up! I am definitely going to try to use this to fill in the scars since it worked for my boyfriend so well. Just thought I'd put that out there in case anyone has this or is looking for something that might fill in a pore or scar or dent or something since people don't seem to like it for wrinkles!

Eye Shadow -NYX - Nude
rated 5 of 5
brandylee 10/9/2009 6:25:00 PM

I love this as my highlight when I don't want a highlight lol! It's got a tiny bit of a sheen so it's a step up from using my face powder but it matches my skin tone and blends out harsh edges and goes over imperfections on my brow bone so smoothly (I have found that very frosty pan shadows make my brow bone look dry and cakey). So cheap and wonderful! These shadows are really soft though so be careful!

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom-lotion
rated 4 of 5

It's funny how when I used to shop at b+b I would go for the certain scents and disregard others as "nothing special". Now I am coming back to all those "nothing special" scents because some of the others turned out to be overwhemling and annoying when I used them alot. This is definitely one of them, especially since alot of my scents scream summer. This is perfect for fall I think. I won't even try to describe it but I think it's light and appealing to alot of people. The packaging is beautiful too, love the red! However, it's not THAT moisturizing for $10.50 so stock up during sales.
