Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Straight Fixation Smoothing Creme

I rarely write reviews but I really love this product. I picked up the small travel size at target on a whim. I have waist length, wavy hair that tends to frizz when left alone. I've been trying to minimize the damage to my hair by cutting down on using the straight iron on it, but I really dislike how it looks when left to dry on its own. This product takes care of all that. After I shower, I run my fingers through my hair, add about a quarter size of this cream through mostly the bottom half of my hair then just let it dry naturally. No more frizzy mushroom head! My waves are defined and look smooth and I don't feel the need to pull out the straighteners to make it look decent. By default it is going to help with the health of my hair. I'm really glad I found this and would definitely recommend it to anyone with the same hair issues as myself.

Mascara -Flirt - Big Flirt Thickening Mascara

I recieved this mascara as a free sample. I'd rate it as so-so. There is nothing really "stand out" about this product. Doesn't do much in the thickening department. Basically just makes my lashes darker. I had no problems with smudging or flaking, so thats good. The thing that I really disliked is the smell! It has your typical mascara smell, but it is STRONG. I could smell it all day. I'm not a person that is sensitive to smells, but ewww. I was so glad to get home and take it off. I would not recommend this, even as a free sample :P

Makeup Brushes -Flirt - Feather Dust-her (aka Skunk Brush)

I purchased this brush the same day I got the mac 187. I've been eyeing them both for awhile and since I had some extra money, I figured why not. This brush is super soft and I was really happy with the $7 price tag. I've washed this brush a few times and have had no problems with shedding. The bristles are way less dense than the 187. I would definately not recommend this if you are planning on using it for a foundation/cream blush brush. It works ok for powder blush, actually picks up a bit more product than I thought it would. However, it works really really well with cheek highlighter and bronzer.

Absolutely my HG lipstick! I love love love this color. Looks lovely as an "almost nude" lip with smokey eyes and gives a nice hint of color on my face on days when I just throw on some mascara. It's just the perfect color all around on my NC-20 skin :)

Mascara -Flirt - Far Out Lengthening Mascara

Love the wand that comes with this! It was a little awkward at first, but the comb really distributes color from root to tip. Totally eliminated the need for my eyelash comb. Definately emphasized my already long lashes. No crunchy-ness at all. Unfortunately this is just not the product for me. I have very thin lashes and I would almost say this product makes them look thinner. If you already have thick, lush lashes and are looking for some legnth, definately give this a try!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast

What a dissappointment! Yes, I succumbed to the hype. I was so excited to try this mascara. The packaging didn't bother me, I actually kind of like the large tube. The wand is nice, but i'm one that likes big fat wands. I applied this and was pretty impressed. I have very thin lashes and it actually made them look much fuller. Also seemed to give them some curl. Color payoff is pretty good. I had no problems with flaking or "raccoon" eyes. Then night came and it was time to remove my makeup.........OMG I could not get this crap off my eyes!! No, I dont have the waterproof version. I first tried my normal gentle eye mu remover. No luck. Then switched to an oil based remover. Nope. Finally pulled out the big guns aka olive oil. After much scrubbing with olive oil, I finally was able to remove most of this, but not all. This process unfortunately pulled out several of my already sparse eyelashes :( I absolutely will not be purchasing again. Sucks because it really did make my lashes look nice. sigh...the search continues
