I don't understand. I really want to like this brush, a lot of people seem to like it and it really does feel very soft to the skin. The color doesn't run when washing and it feels really nice when buffing powder onto your face and because its so incredibly dense, it offers good coverage just by buffing some powder onto your face. However, it sheds like a motherfuc... At first I thought it would stop after a couple washes. I've had the brush for almost 2 years now and its still shedding on my face every time I use it. I have no problem with my other MAC brushes, just this one. Therefore I give it a 2 because it's very disappointing that a brush that could've been one of my favorites (the softness, the denseness) failed at doing so because of the ridiculous amount of bristles it was shedding..till this very day. I consider MAC brushes to be pricy and this was not worth the money.
Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle
boxyeongxan 3/6/2013 2:40:00 AM
It is quite glittery, so I prefer to use it sparingly during the day because it can get very noticeable and obvious in the sunlight. Because I am so pale I feel that it gives me a tanned look when using this during the summer because it is not a translucent highlighter. Other than that, it accentuates my cheekbones, gives my makeup a nice finish, goes well with any colors etc. The price is a bit on the expensive side considering that there are many other highlighters in the drugstore that give the similar effect.
It is a very nice everyday rosy blush. The color seems to be warm toned and has a bit of a golden sheen. It isn't glittery like the orgasm blushes but there is a bit of gold and it goes well with a majority of other different products regardless of the color, no matter what eye shadow or bronzer im using. Suitable for most colors. The color payoff seems to be okay, not the best but good. The packaging is sturdy and sleek and doesn't take up too much space. Overall I would buy this product again.
I feel like it gets rid of all my makeup instantly. I don't feel like I have to work at it hard and it doesn't seem to leave residue. I don't usually use it around my eyes, I usually just massage my whole face to get rid of the foundation, blush, and etc, but it does remove waterproof mascaras as well.
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof
boxyeongxan 9/11/2012 11:02:00 AM
Well I guess it all depends on what kind of lashes or look you prefer. If you prefer big thick dramatic lashes then you wouldn't be satisfied with just using this mascara. But I'm giving it a 4 because it does what it says it will. It "discovers" your lashes, nothing more. It makes your lashes look cleanly combed out, accentuated but not done, naturally long and visible. It doesn't flake or smudge. And because it's waterproof I have to quite work at it with the remover. The brush is quite small but easy to use. It holds the curl nicely, which is what I look for most in a mascara.
Nice rosy tan color. It seems unique for I have not seen a lot of neutral colored eye shadow with a rosy hue. Great for just everyday color, alone or blended with a shade of brown. Shimmery, but not glittery. No fallouts. It seems more warm toned than cool.
A nice color. But its very sheer. I had to use 3 coats to get the color thats in the bottle on my nails. It doesn't chip and doesn't streak. applies on smoothly.
It's in between natural and dramatic for me. Lengthens nicely, volumizes nicely, doesnt clump. Overall good and does what a mascara is supposed to do..but like i said nothing dramatic. An everyday mascara. It holds the curl not that well. just moderately. It is expensive so i might not buy again.
I am also.. nc 20 and this color is...not warm..but i dont find it too cool either. i mean its not difficult to handle. For those that feel that the color is too cold toned, I like to use warm toned brown or any warm toned eye shadow to blend the taupe color. The color is very pretty, no shimmer, a matte grayish taupe. The texture is very smooth and quite easy to blend with your fingers. The staying power is pretty long, I don't really have oily lids so it lasts several hours if i use it alone. But if I use it with eye primer as well it lasts even longer, about a whole day. The packaging seems sturdy and not too bulky...just a normal pot of cream shadow.. There seems to be a enough product in one pot, so I think it'll last me quite a while before I need to buy another.
It emphasizes the dry and chapped parts of my lips and the color has a sheen to it. It's not too frosty to the point where it's hard to manage. But I'd prefer it to be just a little bit more matte. But other than that, its a go to color for every day smokey eyes. Or when you want to wear a nude lip color without looking like you erased your lips. A soft pink. I think it would look better on those with cool toned skin than warm.
A fairly good product. It covers my dark circles nicely without being too yellow. Its pigmented but is not very thick in consistency itself, in fact quite watery, it doesn't crease up into my under eye wrinkles as much, which was usually a problem when using concealers for me. It does a little bit, I don't remember having used a concealer in the past that didn't, but I would have to say it doesn't crease up as much as the ones I've used so far. probably because of the watery consistency. the way you apply onto your skin using the rollerball seems to be a nice packaging idea. It makes it easier for you to control the amount you're putting onto your skin, and you don't seem to waste as much product that way. It does seem to be pretty pricey seeing that it comes from the drugstore, but it is the one of the best under eye concealer that I've used from the drugstore so far so I guess the price is not completely unreasonable.
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum Express The Falsies Flared
boxyeongxan 7/13/2012 10:18:00 AM
well first the brush is nice. its kinda different from the original falsies, its wider towards the handle but its easy to maneuver around the eyes. It does give volume quite decently and it lengthens as well. But the thing about maybelline volumizing mascaras are they kinda leave little balls? at the tip of your lashes. So those could like flake throughout the day. I have noticed that sometimes on days when i put too much i have flakes of mascara on my cheek. but i does do a decent job of giving volume and not too bad with length either. It doesn't quite hold curl though which is very important for me. But overall its just okay. and maybe ill give it another try later.
Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720
boxyeongxan 5/24/2012 2:11:00 AM
Matte and a very good subtle shade for me since I'm pretty fair. Ummm fairly well pigmented. And I mean for the price it is pigmented. I think I got it for three dollars? I don't use that much, but I use it almost every single day, so considering the fact that I JUST hit pan on it, means it has a lot of product. Its kinda pink toned? The packaging seems kinda cheap. but it didn't break on me or anything and I like that its pretty slick. So overall its good. And I would definitely buy it again. Texture is also pretty smooth.
Its OKAY. Not the best but not the worst. mmmmm worth giving a try,..but then thats about it. It might be a little bit too orange? The texture is actually pretty smooth and it feels nice when you apply to the skin. Doesn't have the greatest lasting power though and the coverage is...about medium I would say? The packaging is pretty decent. Maybe a bit bulky at the top. But other than that its okay.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes
boxyeongxan 4/29/2012 4:18:00 PM
It gets MOST of your makeup off in one swipe. I usually go back with different cleansers. But it does get off a lot. Its a bit harder to take off mascara with just this. although on the packaging it says it does. But it gets a majority of the foundation and eyeshadow off. Just need to work more for the mascara. The cloth texture is eh OKAY. The first couple times I used it though I felt like it was irritating my cheeks.
