I LOVE THIS STUFF!! I have longish, fine lashes but lots of them and this stuff is AMAZING on me. It makes my eyelashes look thicker at the base and in the year I've been using it has definitely made my lashes longer and inspired some extra lashes to grow in! My room mate has dense, thick, shorter lashes and she likes this mascara but prefers more liquid-y mascaras that use plastic wands as all she needs from a mascara is coverage and a bit of lengthening. I find mascaras like she uses clump my lashes together, or worse, make them look like spider legs (ick). This mascara coats my lashes but leaves them looking soft and fluttery. For the best pay out from this stuff I find its really important to wiggle the wand at the root of my lashes. This mascara is also very build-able, it takes roughly 7-8 coats before my lashes start to look over done. If you have fine lashes this stuff is a god send.
Bronzers -The Body Shop - Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder

This bronzer is fantastic! I've tried MAC bronzing powder and basically every drug store brand and I find the shimmer in them all to be WAY over the top. I purchased this in 02 and it is the perfect contour shade for my nw20 skin. I apply this with a medium sized contour brush starting at my hair line and work it down into the hollow of my check and it works wonders! The great thing about the matt-ness of this bronzer is that it gives a more natural look but can easily be used in conjunction with a powder highlighter if shimmer is what you want. I find shimmer to be far more flattering applied on top of the cheek bones like a highlighter, instead of under the cheekbone. Furthermore, applying shimmering bronzer on my cheeks when I have breakouts is just not an option as I find the shimmer accentuates breakouts. This matt bronzer is perfect for my acne prone skin!
I got this blush for free from a friend who has a beauty blog and I'm glad I got it for free. My problems with the product aren't the fault of the product, it's just wrong for me.I really like the colour and find it to give a subtle glow and it's definitely build-able. My problem with it is that it has quite a bit of shimmer, which doesn't work well with the acne scars and occasional spots I have on my cheeks. The level of shimmer in it makes it more of a highlighter, but it shows up slightly too pink on my skin to be used as a highlighter. I think this would be stunning on someone with a much darker complexion used as a highlighter. It would make a great blush on someone who has already great skin but is just looking for a glow. This would likely work well for women with more mature skin who want a bit of a glow from their blush.
-GREAT coverage -dewy, healthy finish -GREAT staying power when set with powder -doesn't oxidize (turn orange) -covers acne scars, dark circles and active breakouts -smells nice -continually moisturizes I have dry, sensitive, combination skin that flakes terribly in the winter and this foundation moisturized my skin so completely throughout the day that it actually HELPED my skin! I'm used to foundations that at best don't screw up my skin, not ones that actually help. That said, everyone's skin in different so if you're going to give this a try than visit MAC to get a sample so you can test it out for a while before buying.
My best friend has used this as eyebrow gel for roughly ten years and I've been sneaking some for a few years and finally decided to buy my own tube over christmas. I LOVE this stuff and I am completely hooked to eyebrow gel now. Even when I go makeup free for a day I put on just this eyebrow gel as it completely structures my face (or so I think). My only gripe is that the packaging dispenses too much product. I was finding that I would sometimes get white spots on my brows once the product dried and I figured out that it was from the volume of product I was putting on. I now wipe the applicator off on the back of my hand before applying and, voila, the white residue on my brows is gone. My sister also uses this as brow gel on my recommendation and she was finding initially that it made her brows look "funny" which was simply because she didn't trim her brows! If you find that combing through your brows changes the shape you are used to too much I would recommend giving them a bit of a trim, you might be pleasantly surprised :)
Tinted Moisturizer -Fusion Beauty - Prime Results Tinted Moisturizer SPF15

This is a great tinted moisturizer that so far hasn't caused me to break out. My only gripe with this is that it has a slightly slippery quality and therefore dilutes makeup that is blended into it; however, for that reason it would be great to break down a full coverage foundation. I'm really excited for summer to roll around so I can really use only this when the sun clears up my skin (siiiigh). This TM also smells fantastic, but not too strongly, which is great.
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Vitamin C Skin Boost

I bought this in a body shop "3 for $30 sale" on boxing day thinking if it didn't work out I was only wasting $10 bucks - was I ever pleasantly surprised! This smells so refreshing and creates a luminous glow on my skin that looks completely natural. My boyfriend has even started stealing this sheepishly some times because "this stuff smells so good" and I'm considering buying him his own bottle because it makes his skin look great too.
I've used this product for 2 years now (in the "corrector" shade) and it is the only thing that has ever completely erased my dark circles. This concealer is so great it can completely hide a hangover, or an all-nighter. I apply this with an ecotools concealer brush and then blend out the edges with my finger tips and apply foundation over the concealer/ corrector - it's great! I've told numerous friends about this and have converted a good number of them.
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream

This moisturizer is GREAT! I get super dry skin in the winter and this is the only moisturizer that gives me that "aaaaaaahh" feeling when I put it on. I use this both morning and night, and some times throughout the day. I had fairly bad acne and oily skin as a teenager and in the last three years I've noticed my skin dry up and and my acne go way down; however, I do still get breakouts from certain products or from stress. This leaves my skin noticeably moisturized to the touch hours after I've used it and it does not make me break out at all! I also have noticed my skin is less red and inflamed, and some of my red acne scars are very slightly lighter perhaps due to the vitamin e. I have already recommended this to a number of my friends and will continue to do so!
I'm now on my 4th tube of this foundation and have probably been using it for over a year now. I had oily acne prone skin all through my teens and in my early twenties my skin has become dry and sensitive, while still prone to the odd blemish. I also have some acne scarring on my cheeks that isn't too bad that is troublesome to cover up without looking cakey. This foundation doesn't make me break out, moisturizes my skin pretty well (I use body shop vitamin e intense moisturizing cream) and evens out my complexion quite well. It certainly doesn't perfectly cover all of the redness from the scarring, and it doesn't cover fresh blemishes, but it does do a decent job on under eye circles and it evens out the skin very well, overall. I use this in ivory 23 in combination with MAC studio finish concealer in nw20 and the two blend pretty well to give me even, natural looking skin that isn't freakishly perfect. I find this foundation to be incredibly blendable and has worked on 4 or 5 of my friends when I've done their makeup for fun. Everyone that I've used it on comments on how well it stays on for a night out, and also how nice it feels on the skin (note: most of my friends are not really into makeup and don't usually use foundation). I have applied this with a foundation brush, with a sponge and with my fingers and I find it works quite well regardless of the type of applier I use. My only concern with this foundation is that it can get cakey if you don't powder it carefully or with the use of primer. I find that I have to powder with a sponge and then blend that out with a powder brush as applying powder directly with a brush can make the foundation look cakey on my skin. I use smashbox photo finish when going out for a night and I have to be careful applying this foundation over that as it can look cakey at first, but after about 30 minutes it settles quite nicely. Overall, an excellent every day, go-to foundation.
