BK 001 - black Claims: to be waterproof, sweatproof and oil-proof and it's also long-lasting for 24 hours. Pros: Comes with a little comb and not a traditional mascara brush/wand, which is great for getting to those tiny hairs. It really is long lasting and possibly the first mascara that doesn't smudge on me. It holds the curl incredibly well and my lashes are still curly after I've removed the mascara. This is remarkable and should score full marks based on this because I have very straight Asian lashes. Cons: It can be clumpy on my top lashes. Conclusion: Definitely my HG mascara and every Asian woman's if you have poker straight lashes.

DESCRIPTION A 5-10 minute spa fabric facial that is anti-stress and soothing in the scents of lavender and Jasmine. PROS - it made my skin soft and smooth after only 10 minutes - an abundance of product/tonic soaked in the cloth - easy to clean up afterwards CONS - IT STANK!!!!! The smell of lavender was overwhelmingly strong and disgusting. The scent lingered on even after rinsing and drying. (And I'm usually not that sensitive to strong smells). - the price is not that cheap in South Africa (R25 = around US$ 3.6) - the cloth was waaaay too big for my face - the tonic kept on dripping COMMENTS Although it made my skin smooth and soft as it claimed to do, the smell was a huge turn off. It has successfully put me off anything that smells like lavender. I would recommend it if you enjoy bathing in the aroma of lavender, otherwise go for something that doesn't make you smell like a potpourri.

PROS - it really worked to diminshed my few stubborn spots when I first used it - skin feels clean afterwards - smooth and soothing on the skin CONS - not enough foam - lost its effectiveness very quickly - it's getting quite expensive

It claims to have 11 functions in 1 that include whitening; UV Protecting SPF 50+/PA++ For all skin types; anti-aging; hydrating and detoxifying; revitalising; relaxing; foundation; anti-oiliness and waterproof and sweatproof. PROS - it doesn't break me out - light coverage but build-able - high UV protection and whitening - PA++ to assist in whitening - evens out skin tone - can be applied by using fingertips or stippling brush - tiny nozzle to prevent too much from being squeezed out CONS - it comes in one shade but if you apply sparingly, it is almost invisible - doesn't control oil that well COMMENTS - my mom swears by this and claims that her dark sun spots have diminished - light weight as opposed to Mentholatum's BB cream

I bought the Silky one for my oily skin. PROS - it doesn't break me out - offers a light coverage but can be built up - blends in easily - claims to be a magical cream that offers whitening, UV protection, oil control, hydrating and functions of a foundation. - a little goes a long way - evens out skin tone - tiny nozzle to prevent too much from being squeezed out CONS - comes in one shade - the shade can be too light if applied a little too much - it cab get heavy if applied too much (as opposed to Esthemed's BB cream) - doesn't control oil as well as it claims COMMENTS - use a stippling brush to stipple (NOT in a circular motion) to get that airbrush effect - set it with loose/transluscent powder if your skin is oily - I've been using this almost everyday for the past 2 months and I haven't seen any whitening effects yet (although my mom swears by Esthemed's BB cream and says it's lightened her dark spots)

PROS - really cheap (about US$2) - highly effective - skin is left soft and smooth - visibly reduces the appearance of pores - dries up after 5-10 mins - one package is enough for two treatments CONS - packaging can be messy COMMENTS Due to the abundant amount of product and simple packaging, the best way to get and save the product is to empty the content out into a jar so that it's easy to use and store. Overall, an effective product that doesn't break the bank.

COMMENTS: It's a thick waxy crayon for taming flyaways. PROS: - Long lasting. - Effective. CONS: - It's a pencil, meaning it has to be sharpened and therefore product is wasted. TIPS: Brush the wax out after application to spread it out on your brows evenly and create a natural look.

Comments: I have this in 004 Black Brown and it compliments my black hair perfectly. This is definitely a HG product! Pros: - Perfect shade for my hair colour. It's not too black nor harsh. - Goes on easily and not too waxy. - Am able to apply without having to worry about being too heavy-handed. - Great staying power and doesn't flake. - Comes with a brush on the cap. It's not a spoolie but it works great! Cons: - Needs sharpening (I'm not a fan since it's inconvenient and a waste of product). Tips: To achieve and to avoid a heavy-handed application, hold the pencil as if you are sketching (at an angle) so that you are applying the product not from the tip of the pencil.

I don't have wrinkles but I've noticed that I'm developing laugh lines so I bought this as more of a prevention than trying to repair the damage. So I only apply this on where I need it and it's fasst absorbing and not oily, which is great because my skin is usually very oily. The areas on which I apply are smooth and soft but I still need to use this for a longer period of time in order to evaluate whether or not it will eliminate the appearance of my laugh lines.

This is a clear gel for taming unruly eyebrows. I apply this after filling in my brows and it works just as well as high-end products like MAC's Brow Set. Plus it's really cheap!

Eyeliner -Yardley - Retractable Eyepencil Super longwear & waterproof

Definitely my HG eyeliner from now on! It is a retractable (self-sharpening) eyeliner on one end and a smudger on the other. The eyeliner's texture is creamy and goes on the skin smoothly and easily but it has maximum staying power. I tight-lined my upper and lower lids and it stayed intact even after a crying session. It's relatively cheap and convenient.

I normally won't purchase mascaras made by Yardley but I received this "for free" when I purchased the Yardley overnight bag. It does not volumise and it smudges easily. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Lovely light coverage and it really does heal blemishes! I usually stay away from liquid foundations as they generally make my face greasy and break me out. This is definitely my HG for when I have the odd blemishes. I use a stippling brush and stipple it onto my skin and it gives me an airbrush finish. I also set it with translucent powder to prolong the staying power. It provides a light coverage but is definitely buildable and I don't even need to apply concealer when I use this!

It's light and fine. Besides setting my make up, it also absorbs any oil my skin produces throughout the day. I have used this during the past summer and it has kept my skin matte without clogging pours. Definitely will buy again!

It's cheap but it's of good quality. It glides on and smudges easily so perfect for smokey eyes. But because it smudges easily, it needs powder to set. Def. will re-purchase.
